The new TMAX 500 from Yamaha provides an alternative
Yes it might be expensive but it is a fantastic scooter. With weight low down and a motorcycle frame, it is great fun on roundabouts and corners. It handles brilliantly with a good turn of speed. I have surprised some sports bikes. And it is in my opinion the best looking scooter out there

Well I've had one two weeks now -been up to a buck-five or so and took on of my fav fwy. corners at 95 with COMPLETE confidence! Nice. With almost 1000 mi. I am even more happy than the day I bought it. I used to ride anything... Ninjas, Enduros, Harleys, but I have been pleasantly suprised by this machine. No, it won't pop-up... but stays down and goes!
Agreed. I drive a cruiser motorcycle myself, but used to own an Aprilia 500cc scooter. In comparison, the scooter is a smoother ride all-around. I still miss it...

gotten a 08 model tmax and I must say I'm loving it as through performance is responsive! comfy, seating posture excellent. handling flawlessly. .....cornering is just like sitting on a sportbike feel. no doubt the price is costly but paid for a worthy bike is nothing more then words can describe.....

It's a motorcycle, It all depend what you wanna do with it.
I don't think a'd buy that, but for travel it's fantastic
@gsxrful the burgman maybe more stable at high speeds but when it comes to low speeds its too heavy and in the corners its road holding isnt very good, even the lighter burgman 400 doesnt have good road holding in the corners.
love it have a 2009 tmax and 2011 burgman 650 LOVE EM BOTH

It's been improved with bigger wheels. So in other words they made them too small on previous models, so they could "improve it" later...?
@gsxrful im not saying the burgman is a bad scooter, because it obviously isnt, but im just saying that it has some downsides like everything does, i just prefer the tmax.
good but still, the price is worth a good roadster or some entry level genuine road bikes.

Those who own T Max is it expensive to maintain? How much you pay for servicing? I am looking to buy one soon.

Azim Ahmed it's not expensive to maintain,it has the best handling a scooter can provide,it is fast for a scooter and it looks damn cool,but it's a bit heavy and tall
anyone knows if Gilera Nexus 500 is good scooter ?
43 mm in diameter not length and it now comes with 2 15 inch wheels instead of the previous 15 front 14 rear ok

kaash ye yamaha tmax 500 scooter india mein mil pata. kya yaar indian companies duniye bhar ki bikes india mein launch kar dege lekin kaminey iss tarah ka scooters launch nahi kar sakte. shame on u yamaha shame !!!
