- Stars Adam West and Burt Ward.
When Batman and Robin are called out to rescue Commodore Schmidlapp, they are unaware that they are actually being fooled and the real Schmidlapp is being kidnapped by four of Batman's most feared enemies. The Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler and the Catwoman are working together to defeat the Dynamic Duo once and for all. Armed with a dehydrator that turn can humans into dust, the fearsome foursome intends to take over the world once and for all. Can Batman and Robin use their high-flying heroism and groovy gadgetry to defeat the arch-villains of the United Underworld in time?
This is the greatest Batman movie ever and no one can change my mind. The plot is so unbelievably dumb that it loops right back around to being a masterpiece.
Anyone who would try to disagree belongs in Arkham.
@@apocolipsthegeekguru2980 Facts
These writers were at the top of their game
True
That's the thing ya gots to love about these 1930-1960's B movie's...,these actors played it DEADLY serious like it was Shakespeare...,lol.
How Adam West kept a straight face during all his lines has to be Accomplishment with this movie.
“A sparrow with a machine gun” lmao
Of course, what else would it be? 😂
That’s actually an old joke I heard.
@@Democracylover710
so the full riddle is the joke. or is it just part of the joke and i dont know the rest?
Which they always figure out instantly.
@@BenBanjo87a coconut is what I came up with
The fact he even knows how to operate that is more impressive than making a riddle in the sky. Also so many more questions.
Why does he have so many missiles.
“Penguin, Joker, Riddler and Catwoman too. The sum of the angles of that rectangle is too monstrous to contemplate!”
This is the best movie ever made, folks, it’s just that simple
Holy Polaris!
Their MINIMUM objective must be the entire world...lol. Never picked up on that joke before
0:35 - 0:46 THAT MISSILE WROTE ALL THOSE WORDS!!
1:28 This is peak comedy
"Yes, of course."😂
I happened across this entire movie last night... I watched about 30 seconds of it... But you are correct. The "sparrow with a machine gun" cracked me up. But the "Yes, of course" has been causing periodic giggles all through today... SO I had to come find this scene and share it on Facebook...
So good I made it my avatar/name
Robin said' Holy Polaris!' before the missile emerged
I think it’s supposed to imply that he saw it and then the movie shows it launching again so the the audience could see what happened. It was also probably also used as a transition for a commercial break if this movie was ever on live tv. But who knows
@@drguineapig8755 That's a good point.
This is a core memory, this missle riddle and the other missle that the answer is "apple sauce" 😂
1:44 The most Adam West that ever Adam West
I was thinking it was like a Jeff Golblum impression.
The country???
If were only 3 i whould say yes... but 4.... THE WORLD
Damn, catwoman is powerfull :v
One of my favorite scenes, man! I saw this when I was 11 and bought into it the entire time!
This was so awesome!!!
Sometimes, you just can't get rid of a bomb!
There at 0:38 I don't know whether it's more questionable that an exploding missile can sky-write or that The Riddler would leave out commas. 🤣
First riddle : he gobbles up
Second riddle: A sparrowwith a machine girl
Riddle me this,Riddler!
“If left is right, and right isn’t left, what is right if it isn’t left or right?”
@Nathaniel Mooney what’s the answer?
@@djoshray_dubz_3619 The answer is “wrong”.

A fuck waddle?
I get a good laugh out of Chief O'Hara's facial expressions in this scene. It's a good counterpoint to Gordon playing the straight man.
😊🙏 Love these 1966 Batman & Robin series >>> They were so campy & watchable for the entire family , & they still are! Thank You So Much for the Clear Video & Audio presentation for us fans! 🙏🌷🌿🌏✌💜🕊
0:10 HOLY POLARIS!!!!
He gobbles up.....
😆😅🤣😂 It's so stupid its funny!
Their faces at the end when Batman tells them they're trying to take over the world....Commissioner Gordon is absolutely distraught.
2:22 I doubt it, Batman. Taking over the world isn’t Catwoman’s style.
"Our blackest fears confirmed"
That is a *bold* take on *darkest* fears when it's the 60's.
Love how this scene in Commissioner Gordon's office is mostly one uninterrupted shot til it cuts to the close up of Gordon. A common technique throughout the series. That and also tilted cameras for scenes with the villains🤣
1:17 what does a turkey do when he flies upside down
He gobbles up
Yes, of course !
Why would Catwoman want to take over the world? She's a burglar, not a megalomaniac. And there are countless steps between burglar and megalomaniac.
Well, the United Underworld's objective was actually ransom, not world domination.
Oh just enjoy the movie lol...
She thought the world would be a great steal.
How do you write a campy drama that becomes a comedy? Let this be your guide.
How to write a good story with an insane plot that feels like it was written after the entire writer’s room did 500 lines of cocaine.
Comm. Gordon needs to go back to school to learn basic trigonometry if he doesn't know the sum of the angles of a rectangle. Maybe start with the sum of the angles in a triangle and work up to a rectangle.
@@BenBanjo87 Dry humor. Nothing more.
"The sum of the angles of that rectangle is too monstrous to contemplate"
It's 360°, same as any other rectangle mate.
Though Batman didn't blame an Admiral in the United States Navy for selling a pre-atomic submarine to someone who didn't leave them the full address, Commissioner Gordon would've given the Admiral a piece of his mind after Batman & Robin told him & Chief O'Hara that the Penguin bought it for him, Riddler. Catwoman & the Joker to use in this adventure.
Riddle-Er..............Riddler? 😏
2:10 Catwoman doesn’t try to take over Gotham City. She usually sticks to thievery.
That's the least plain warning I've ever heard.
But does the "sparrow with a machine gun" have some context that has been lost or was it just like that?
Nope they are dead serious when they say "Sparrow with Machine Gun"
I expected it to be a reference to something that was more common knowledge back then, because there are some leaps in the other riddles too, but you can at least kind of see how they got there, this one is just so wild. It's also kind of unnecessary, the clue is provided by the answers being a bird in a tree, but the answer is a bird because the riddle mentions the tree...
@@themantyf1116 It was a different time.
I like this scene.
@SparrowwithaMachinegun great username😂
All time favorite 😊
Batman doesn’t look intimidating at all 😭 I’d be more worried about the police officer…
Goofy gags lead to the conclusion that Catwoman is part of the criminal quadrumvirate? Despair not, ladies! This sequence shows how four men (Batman, Robin, the Commish, and the Chief) can put their heads together and figure out girl logic! 😁
0:20 Why does the Riddler have a mask if he's just going to take it off? 🤨
0:10 What holy catchphrase Robin said?
Holy Polaris!
Fun movie 🎉
Riddler funny
I got one.

What's even more mind blowing;
This show was made intended not to be a comedy.
Only in very early pre-production
Yeah right. It's definitely comedy for adults.
No, it was 100% meant to be comedic.
@@indeed260The Adam West series was always meant to be comedic.
