Absolutely brilliant! Best comedy about the cavalry and, particularly, both Captain Parmenter and Corporal Agarn (El Diablo Agarnado, cousin Dimitri, etc.) were hilarious.
First off, a very talented cast! I forget how wonderful this show was. Larry Storch, just shines brighter. Not in an egotistical scene stealing way. He is very generous, but he's just naturally funny! Wonderfully talented man. Ken Berry so funnily clumsy yet an incredible dancer. I have seen John Wayne fight with Forrest Tucker in serious war and western movies, who knew he could be so funny? Wonderful show.
My Uncle Nick was assigned Larry Storch's make-up artist on F- Troop. Until My Uncles passing he always praised Larry. I have so many photos of Larry and my Uncle on set.
JESUS CHRIST said "I am the way and the Truth and the Life - No one comes to the FATHER except through me" - Worship JESUS CHRIST and be saved for all Eternity.
Grrr, curse you for forcing that choice! J/K Tim Conway was brilliant! I loved John Banner, he lost family in the Holocaust, yet was able to find humor in playing what was essentially a Nazi soldier. Still in my opinion Larry Storch reigns supreme, just on versatility alone. BUT between the characters, I go with Sergeant Shultz! I see nothing!
"The Untouchables"? "The Fugituve"? "The Naked Gun"? "Mission: Impossible"? About half the "Star Trek" movies? C'mon, there's definitely SOME good ones out there. And I'd also personally give a shout-out to both "The Brady Bunch Movie" and "Dragnet", but I realize those were going for parody more than anything.
@@birddogger5150 I wouldn't put the "Mission Impossible" movies in the same category with the others. I love the old TV show but that first movie was dreck... Jim Phelps would be about as likely to become a bad guy as Jim Kirk would be to go over to the Klingons... and that stupid long fight scene, LOL.
@@JeffDeWitt well it definitely spawned a long and successful franchise, and I bet over 90% of the people who have seen them have never seen one episode of the TV show.
@@JeffDeWitt I only saw that first one and barely remember it. I do remember being annoyed that they cast Jon Voight in the Peter Graves role even though Graves was still very much alive and well.
@@birddogger5150 Not disagreeing, but two bad choices totally turned this MI fan off from the movies, and increased my distrust of any movie with Tom Cruz in it... he's been part of screwing up two story lines I've been a fan of since forever, MI and War of the Worlds.
Pete laRosa - AT YOUR AGE YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW THERE IS NO GOD NOR ANY CHRIST - DO SOME SERIOUS HISTORICAL RESEARCH AFTER WHICH YOU WILL BE VERY MUCH MORE ENLIGHTENED. (( ADDITIONALLY, YOU NEED TO CORRECT YOUR LAST NAME TO BE LaRosa AND NOT laRosa ))
Unfortunately we will probably never see this show on broadcast TV again. Simply because American Indians were portrayed in a comical manner. Nevermind that it was all done in innocence and a totally silly way. Such hypersensitivity has overrun entertainment and media in this country.
I read a in-depth article about the show and how it was received in its time. The article said that the American Indians who reviewed the shoe thought that The Hekowies were hilarious. Not everybody has a stick up their collective asses.

Once I was promoted to corporal, I yelled like Larry Storch, 1SG spit out his coffee laughing🤣

Fred, Forest at his acting best in “The Crawling Eye”! Of course he was the brave hero.
My favorite show as a kid.
A classic scene from one of the best comedies made. It's still funny and fresh. Why can't they make them like this any more?
Because it's already been done...
Because liberals.

Tell me when you find a racing stripe in your underwear do you blame liberals?

Larry Storch was great on this show. A great cast to...
hahaha, "if you're awake, let your face know about it"!
Its a out and out Classic Show . Its in me top 10 and top 3 off all time .
You gotta love Agarn!!
"Men, you're in the Army now!"
Funny stuff
Larry Storch was hilarious in this program!!! Brilliant cast.
From the pilot episode of the series, "Scourge Of The West" {September 14, 1965}....
JESUS CHRIST said "I am the way and the Truth and the Life - No one comes to the FATHER except through me" - Worship JESUS CHRIST and be saved for all Eternity.
Why can't they make shows like this today
Because it was already done waayyyyyy back in the 1960s. Comedy doesn't repeat itself unless you're a hack.
Im 64 and some my fondest memories growing up was my dad doing his Agarn routinuies. "Heahhhhh yah!"
Oh man this is great stuff. They don't make them like this anymore
Gravy Stains Duddleson ? GRAVY STAINS !!!!
"If you're awake, let your face know about it.". Bwawaahaha!
Storch made that show
Corporal Agarn, Sergeant Shultz, or Ensign Parker?

Yabba dabba doo!
I remember captain palmetter could not fold the map so he sent away for instructions and it came in the same way that show was so funny 😂
I loved it still cracks me up.love them all,Today is melody passeing.RIP
A movie is not good news.....no movie of a classic tv show has ever come close to the genius of the original

@RatCity2020 Good news? :( You can't recreate the perfection- these guys were the best and can't be replayed!
I loved when they announced what time it was
Please God let Larry Storch reach is 100th birthday.
Mr James Hampton (Dobbs).
What Dobbs, did to that bugle he played, *was a 'crime' throughout the Western Territories!"*
....SVENSON!!!!!!
such an underrated show......never shows in reruns.......bought the seasons......and gene reyonlds (mash) does fantastic job!

Did I miss Bob Steele as Duffy?
Could be a hit and miss.
What kind of fool thinks this is better TV than The Kardashians!
This is why we lost the civil war.Tony

Of course the palefaces were portrayed in a comical manner too... this show was an equal opportunity offender.

They probably could've cast a more realistic medicine man. Sterling Holloway comes to mind
