Thank you very much Susanne for producing the video with Steven. It has given me inspiration also for my fibre collection consisting of pre-loved 100% wool yarn produced in the 70s and 80s. Preference of composition is wool, never acrylic, but with either mohair or alpacca. Saying that, recently purchased from the op shop, several cones of extra fine 2 ply yarn that I didnt bother to check the composition, acrylic. So after seeing Stevens garments with different experimentaton of yarns, have decided to knit together to create a thicker ply. The latest spinning fibre is yak. And several fleeces to wash, spin and card. Ponchos are returning in popularity.
Thank you. I was lucky enough to come across a yarn shop clearing out their silken straw. Lots of colors. Now I have some ideas on how to use it. I already knit a very simple top and its beautiful. But I've gained some weight, so now I look at it and admire. I find that I can use a swift and winder. Then I tuck it into a sock, (cheap and thin) and store them in that, when I use it, I pull from the outside of the ball, not the center.
