Synopsis: Two decades after surviving a massacre on October 31, 1978, former baby sitter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) finds herself hunted by persistent knife-wielder Michael Myers. Laurie now lives in Northern California under an assumed name, where she works as the headmistress of a private school. But it's not far enough to escape Myers, who soon discovers her whereabouts. As Halloween descends upon Laurie's peaceful community, a feeling of dread weighs upon her -- with good reason.

*When you realize Halloween 2018 should be Halloween: H40*
Shame on them for not naming it that
Actually halloween 2018 is Halloween: H40 as the original came out in 1978, halloween kills is 40 years after halloween 2 (1981)
@@lloydr64able true true
No Halloween 2018 should be Halloween H40
@@NiightDJ you are correct
This was definitely one of the best sequels, and I thought they tied everything together beautifully in this one... It really picks up 20 years after the events of the original Halloween
It shouldnt be erased like theyve done
It was terrible.
@@travzimmerman1340 He back. Michael Myers never died as the boogyman. If every fews Halloween holidays. The Halloween movies series coming back and it making good moneys in the box office hit..
But unfortunately for us, they couldn't let a good franchise die.
I’m pretty sure h20 means halloween 20 years
A far better ending to the franchise. With one chop, Michael and Laurie go out with far more dignity than what they gave us in Halloween Ends
This is an underrated addition in the Halloween series.
💯
Overrated
Better than the recent ones that are being made.
@@jmoorhouse6317 H40 is better
🙄🤣🤣
Hard to believe more time has taken place since this movie came out than between it and the first Halloween. I thought 1998 Jamie Lee Curtis looked old, but now she looks young.
Thanks for making me realize how old I am getting!
JLC has definitely not aged gracefully, imo.
@@THeJokER-lb5pk Age is just a number. Menopause does things harder. After menopause things are going back on track. I'm just 27 and a man but I know that.
Just watched the 4K. H20 still one of the best Halloween films no doubt. Well made
This one is awesome! The one problem with it was that it was released in the summer of 1998 and not during Halloween time which would have given it so much more success.
No matter what anyone says this is still a great movie to watch on Halloween night or any night
I will always love this film. My older brother took me to see this in the theater when I was a kid, and it scared the heck out of me. He passed away not too long after. We had some good times, including watching this
I love the Halloween franchise and slasher movies PERIOD. I watch horror movies 24/7, not just on Halloween.
Me too!!!!!!!!!!!
Pls suggest some movies like Halloween and friday the 13th
@@samirsingh8125 Nightmare on Elm Street
I sit and watch them even on Christmas!!
Dude I've run out of horror films to watch now. I think I've watched almost every single good one, it takes me literal weeks of searching to find something worth watching now.
Jamie Lee Curtis is a good actress.
i agree
Yes it is
I’ll say
Jamle Lee Curtis is one of the very best actress ever and one of the very best scream queens ever 💝
Yes, hi I have and bad and or no luck killer chasing me and mom very nasty to me.
Am I the only one who prefers this to all of the remakes / reboots since??
Nothing can top Laurie chopping Michael's head off in the end. I mean in 2018, she sets him on fire AGAIN
Yeah, the reboot and remake scenes kinda feel repetitive and redundant, so the final climax between the two cease to hold the intensity of H20's ending. Quite controversial yet admittedly clever how they spinned the twist at the end of H20 to set up Halloween Resurrection, which had good moments but felt cheap.
@@IJoeAceJRI It was supposed to end with her chopping off his head , But she found out later after filming has started that there was a clause in the contract that Michael couldn’t die. So she was obligated to do Halloween resurrection.
To be honest i like every halloween iteration except for that new one that jsut came out this year, that is by far the worst one. I was a kid when h20 and ressurection came out so i have fond memories of enjoying them since i was at that age
As far as I’m concerned Halloween is a trilogy H1,H2 and h20. Everything else is garbage.
Technically it was the first time he was set on fire. Remember 2018 was about an alternate ending in 78 so halloween 2 (1981) never existed.
Low and behold, it’s already 25 years old!!!
Im happy this is the version that almost matches the 1978 original by John Carpenter giving back a shot of adrenaline
Jaime Lee Curtis returns to the role that defined her career after 20 years
It’s good because this ditches the convoluted mythology the thorn cult and the daughter storyline making it much simpler
You’ve got a very young Josh Hartnett in this, LL Cool J, a young Michelle Williams, and Jodi Lyn O’ Keef
It isn’t until after the 50 min mark the thrills start kicking in and it turns into quite the ride
Director Steve Miner sticks close enough to the spirit of the older film focusing on Laurie trying to establish herself in a new way but also riding off the popularity of the horror 90’s renaissance
They even poke fun at the genre too with fun nods and a cameo by Janet Leigh!
Kevin Williamson also produces to make that teen vibe feel fresh and I’m happy Marco Beltrami has his signature score much like the ‘Scream’ even if you hear some familiar tunes because John Ottman actually wanted his own composition
The climax is immensely enjoyable because at this point Laurie looks like she’s finally able to make the nightmare end (it’s more character driven than a blood fest)
And at the time this was a satisfying conclusion to her story and fans were highly satisfied
Curtis became one of the legendary scream queens going from the final girl into a brave heroine not running anymore from her male aggressor facing her demons, no longer letting her horrific past define her
Just do yourself a favor and skip 2-6 then ‘Resurrection’, that’s pretty much where the franchise nearly died
It’s only 86 min too short but leaves you wanting more thanks to Curtis fully committing to her role against one of the biggest slasher villains
As far as follow-ups are concerned this is one of the better ones
full of ghastly surprises with another great frightening atmosphere, this sequel perhaps redefined the saga in a totally unexpected form, with mastery and terror.
Halloween is a choose your adventure series. My favourite trilogy is Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween H20.
Same 4 me
one of the most underrated halloween movies
Underrated sequel!
FACTS
No, it's overrated af and the movie sucks.
@@themyersfan57 u must be talking about Halloween 2018
@@dredre_lj2003 No, 2018 was good, it made a lot of things better than H20.
@@themyersfan57 I think Halloween 2018 is overrated, I don't think it sucks
I love Halloween H20. The original, Halloween 2, and Halloween H20 are my head cannon perfect trilogy.
This is what the last Halloween should have been
Yeah, it was ok but it definitely could have been better. Michael Myers was really disrespected and the new guy just didn't grow on me. Thankfully I have this which if you ignore Resurrection, is the final Halloween film of the first series.
@@Beltzer0072 They f:-(k the last Halloween up and spit on the whole movie franchise.
The last Halloween is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
No, Season of the Witch should've been the last Halloween, not this train wreck.
“He has pursued her relentlessly. He has hunted her everywhere. Now, 20 years later, the face of good and the face of evil will meet one last time. Jamie Lee Curtis. “Halloween: 20 Years Later”.”
and 20 years later they would face off again in 2018.
I loved that Nurse Marion was in this and Halloween Kills. I really wish 2018’s Halloween could’ve been H40, H20 is probably my favorite Halloween movie - I still don’t think these new movies have gotten everything right, but they’re definitely better than Resurrections && that’s all we really need.
FULLY AGREEP
This is my favourite Halloween movie
The 90s had the best movies hands down
I would add the 80s. Thrillers were especially great. It seems there are no pure psychological thrillers anymore and I don't understand why that is.
I remember when the marketing for this movie started to roll out, and I'm pretty sure this is not the classic original trailer. As far as I remember the OG trailer still had the voice over guy, who gave the title in the end as Halloween H-2-O (not H-Twenty), and the trailer was definitely way more 90s. This feels more like a modern trailer made for a blu-ray release, or something fan-made.
Love the new trailer
H20 is the best one don’t @ me
One of the worst
They picked the perfect cast for that movie Halloween h20
I love this movie... for me is the best Halloween movie after Halloween and Halloween 2.
It seems like her son turned into a daughter in the 2018 movie lmao 🤣
Son moved out
They really shouldve kept Jamie as canon. It shouldve been insanely tough for Michael to find Laurie and Jonathan. But Laurie should have painful regrets giving up Jamie.
At around 42 mintues when Janet Leigh leaves with her car John Ottmans soundtrack shortly alludes to the soundtrack of "Psycho" and I think Janet Leigh might even be driving the same car :) She also gives life advice to our heroine in the same veign her character had gotten from Norman Bates when talking in the motel. I really liked that whole cameo.
Jamie Lee Kurtis is perfect for this genre of movie
This is not the original trailer.
H20 >>>>>>>>>>> Kills and Ends
THIS was the last Halloween. The TRUE canon is : Halloween 1. Halloween 2. Halloween H20
In Theaters November 15, 1998
I prefer this to Halloween 2018
No doubt about that
Just dumb
Classic movie 🎥 🎃
Better than the actual H20 trailer💯
for those in the know, the role of Norma Watson is played by Janet Leigh (the mother of Jamie Lee Curtis),
when Norma Watson walks towards her car which is that of Psycho, we hear the little music from this film; a nod to movie buffs Norma Bates- Norma Watson?
This is the exact same trailer music that’s in the 2018 trailer. Pretty cool.
This was the true halloween ends, not the crap they Made this year.
love it
Esse filme é Bom de +
É um dos melhores. Halloween H20 100%
💚💚
It's terrible
They borrowed this score in one of the trailers of 2018
Classic 🔥😊
My Favorite Halloween
Halloween: the night he came home
Halloween 2: more of the night he came home
Halloween H2O: the night she fought back
The trailer makes the movie better than it is.
I absolutely love H20 and that's why I can see the problems with it that it has, and I think a lot of people recognize those issues as well.
Scream, mask, music, light bright picture, goofy teens, is what ruined this movie
@@NorthPhilly-zr7xc The biggest things for me were the mask and the relations to scream (music, comparing the two, the references, etc.) otherwise I think the story is pretty good, it's very 90's, which is why I love it. I liked John Ottman's score, and I agree that some of it wasn't right for the movie, but essentially taking music from two major box offices at that time and putting them in this, cheapens it for me. It's so obvious they're riding on that Scream train of success.
@@joshuahamilton2441 yeah the storyline was great I didn't have a problem that they ignored 456 I was cool with that,
But then the whole scream score cheese mask if the picture was too bright it didn't have that halloween feel too is what's missing!
MICHAEL!!!!
What do you know!!!?? Lori was drunk again!! She should’ve stayed off the bottle and worried more about her family, rather than getting all gassed up off that sauce!!
2021 incoming!
When you realize that this movie had nothing to do with water…
I think this a remade trailer, if I'm not mistaken? The original 1998 trailer for H20 has the classic movie voiceover and they use the song, Mr. Sandman by the Chordettes. This definitely has the 2018 trailer song added in. Don't get me wrong, this is a cool trailer but doesn't have that classic late 90s movie trailer vibe.
My favorite Halloween movie I just wish this one had a higher body count
Love how the ax magically reappears after Myers left it in the hallway
My personal favorite is Halloween 2 but up until Halloween resurrection the Halloween franchise was still scary & I enjoyed every film. There was suspense, good chase scenes, Michael appearing in mirrors or when someone was looking out the window haunts me in my dreams. I wish the reboots would of had these elements especially the way Michael moved like a robot & the way he tilted his head. I have not enjoyed one single remake. They are all bad.
i first thought that was Carrie Fisher in the thumbnail
Eu amo H20
When I realized that Halloween Kills stole the entire trailer from H20 I was at least 6 when H20 came out barley remember this trailer it's 🔥
I thought this was a weird crossover with the Australian mermaid series 😂😂😂😂 🧜♀️
I just want to write that my name is Josh and i want to write that on Sunday March 12, 2023 Jamie Lee Curtis won the academy award for best supporting actress for her role in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. clips of her winning the academy award are on youtube.

Wow I like how the trailer is halloween h20 halloween 2018 style
Actually the title of the 2018 Halloween is actually “Halloween: 40 years later” so technically they did name it H4O lol
I love how Halloween 2018s trailer format is exactly the same.
What does Michael do for 11+ months if the year? 😆 Propablu sits at home gaming trolling people.
H20 means water.
Better than the last 2.
Disagree, although it should have been. The actor playing Michael was a touch too short, the score didn't sound like a halloween score and it was too lighthearted and comic in tone. One thing I do prefer about h20 though, they get that out of focus, in the background, quiet creeping Michael is the scariest
H20 was terrible

I enjoyed this one tbh
Great trailer for a solidly good film.
I liked the video
i liked this movie, but the music in the movie is so weird. it’s like disney horror movie music. they should stay w rhe orginal sound and feel even tho they didn’t have john. but still. the music in the new movies r amazing.
Halloween resurection joined the chat:
Super classic trailer I remember as a kid
Michael Myers
Yes they did it better than Blumhouse
Jamie Lee Curtis considers the film a thank you note to her fans. Curtis: "Without that early career, I truly don't think I would have been an actor."
Even after 20 years, Jamie Lee Curtis said that seeing Michael Myers on set still scared her.
LL Cool J had always been a fan of the Halloween movies. His mother took him to see the original when he was just nine years old.
When Jamie Lee Curtis' character says, "go down the street to the Beckers..." this was supposed to refer to the line from Halloween (1978), "go down the street to the McKenzie's house..." The name was changed to Becker, which was the last name of Drew Barrymore's character in Scream (1996).
The shortest "Halloween" movie in the series, with a run time of 86 minutes.
Michelle Williams signed on without ever having seen any of the Halloween movies.
Director Steve Miner also directed two films in another popular horror series: Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) and Friday the 13th Part III (1982).
Body Count: 7 (two off-screen)
Jamie Lee Curtis refers to the film as "Field of Screams". "If you build it, they will come."
Josh Hartnett's first acting project and film debut.
Ronny calls Laurie "psycho" as she drives past him when she comes in through the gate. Jamie Lee Curtis' mother Janet Leigh, who appears as Norma in this film, starred in Psycho (1960).
During the scene where Norma is leaving, she stands in front of the car from Psycho (1960). The music playing in the background at this part is also from Psycho. Janet Leigh, who plays Norma, played Marion in Psycho. The license plate on the car is also the same as the second car Marion buys in Psycho, NFB 418, which are Norman Bates' initials and lastly, Norma is the first name of Norman Bates' Mother from Psycho.
Halloween: H20" is the seventh film in the series. H2O is the chemical symbol for water which has a pH balance of 7.0
Both Nancy Stephens and Joseph Gorden Levitt are dead before their names appear in the opening credits.
H20 was garbage
I feel like if he had the one consistent mask and the film had the tone of this trailer, removing the weird humour they tried using to "keep relevant" with Scream being so popular, this would've been the perfect sequel. It's not bad by any means, but I just think they tried too hard and ultimately missed the mark in a few places.
Ok, got it. So, this is why they had a dude with a machete on the train after me. Pershing Square.

Halloween H20 is a fantastic film, the best conclusion with the most poetic ending that we've been offered. Fan service incarnate.
1.) Halloween 78
2.) Halloween Kills
3.) Halloween 18
4.) Haloween H20
These are the finest ones, simply because there ability to service the fans and pay homage to the original with dignity.
The first 2 recent Halloweens were so well made that it's such a shame that Ends didn't turn out to be any good with it's ending.
H20 gets a lot of flack for the mask, but the most concise and condensed story telling. Takes the most finite amount of horror sequences and makes the most out of them to make the best story with a short amount of time.
Last but not least, Laurie's Son John, his name a tribute to Carpenter, is somewhat of a glimpse as to what Michael may look like (minus battle damage)

Remember this when it first cameout the school principle makes a invitation to watch this…
The TRUE ending of the franchise. IF Halloween Ends cannot deliver on the same type of ending then this will be (to me) the series canonical ending. No question. I love Halloween 2018. But emotionally this was the better Laurie Strode. She had an amazing reason to be in extreme paranoia and making sure this crispy man stays dead. Even if Halloween Ends is amazing this was and still is is extremely cathartic!
the "true" ending would be halloween 6 if anything. everything after that is a soft reboot. Btw the word "canon" doesn´t mean what you consider part of the storyline but what the rightholders do.
Her acting in H20; the ending with her breathing. ..just phenomenal
