It's absolutely fascinating how much you can do on these systems on a military craft. It's also fascinating how they can link all the different systems together. So like your way points on your map....are showing your your ground radar scan. No wonder some of these aircraft need 2 people in them. There's so many systems and things you can do that someone is there specifically for using all of them. You guys are doing so good on this aircraft. The realism is off the charts.
Thank you for the video. Can't believe no one picked up that Moskva joke hahaha. Ngl this looks amazing but also as one of the more daunting modules to learn.
The fact that the GMT mode actually picks up moving civil traffic already makes this a vastly superior AG radar to anything ED has put out. Unless they did a big update recently, the F-16 GMT mode was only picking up vehicles that were placed in the mission editor, and ignored civil traffic entirely. But it's been a few months since I've flown it; if they've fixed that, great.
No that's still the same. I suspect it's intentional as well - the amount of clutter here is crazy, civ traffic as-is is just too basic an implementation to make sense with hunting convoys - for a start they shouldn't be able to go through tanks.
18:00 It occus to me that "Sp" stands for "SnowPlow", because the cursor is latched to the center of the screen similiar to the snow plow mode of TGP or RDR in other modules.
I was about to comment this too. SP could indeed be snowplow. Although the button does cycle through steerpoints so who knows. But when it latched to the center when it turned to SP again I immediately thought of snowplow.
I wish NOTSO did all the F-15E TRAINING TUTORIALS. Nobody else covered the Flex Departure at Nellis? Nobody in DCS covers real world departures or arrivals INTERESTINGLY. Keep up the great worK!
Okay, I need a question answered if I may. APG-70 radar in the F-15E, using the A/G mode. When I start increasing in altitude, my ground returns start appearing as just a wide strip across the display. This strip can be adjusted in range in and out by adjusting the beam angle up and down. Now, I am a retired aviation maintenance technician that specialized in avionics, both military and civilian. So, I know how a radar works. I can understand how a radar might operate this way. I see the A/G radar operate this way in a couple other DCS aircraft; the M-2000C Mirage and the F-1 Mirage do this as well. But then I go and fly other jets with A/G radar, and I get something very different. At altitude, the A/G radars in the FA-18C, the F-16C, and the JF-17 all show ground returns for the entire range. I was in an FA-18 just north of the Strait of Hormuz at 36,000 feet. I had the A/G radar on 160-mile range. I had returns for pretty much the entire range except for obviously the first couple miles. The F-16 and JF-17 are the same way. Now, in my US Navy days, I worked on an aircraft that had the old APS-130 search radar. It's basically a stripped-down version of the APQ-148 bombing radar in the old A-6E Intruder. Anyway, I never got to see the thing operate except for once in a while we would point it off the side of the ship and turn it on and we could pick up most of the rest of the carrier group. But that was from 90 feet off the water. So, I don't honestly know how it looked at altitude. So, obviously my question is... why do some radars like the afore-mentioned F-15E have just a relatively narrow strip of returns across the A/G radar at altitude, and some have ground returns throughout the entire range even at altitude? These radars were all developed around the same time period, more or less. Do they actually work that way or is it just the way they are modelled in DCS?
Nice info there that we can set an aircraft with no embedded GPS in the ME. Is this just referencing DCS setting the mission date to before around March 28th 1994 means no GPS ? Or is it a checkbox in the aircraft's editor settings that removes the EGI?
In middle school I remember thinking I knew every system there was thanks to Jane’s USAF 😂. My god fellas I can’t wait to see where sims will be by 2030
I would love to have one of these in my DCS Collection. From what I understand Razbam, the creator, and Eagle Dynamics are fighting about something and the customer is paying the price by not getting the upgrades originally promised.
Do you need a back seater? I've pre-ordered but will most likely not have a back seater and I don't want to be restricted in what I can do, or it won't be worth me buying.
It's all just too much. It's fantastic, incredible, and awesome, but for my old brain it's just too much. I really can't wait for the Grim Reapers to get their hands on this bird and start showing it off.
I'm starting to feel like I'm being fooled by RAZBAM. Baltic Dragon already wants missions with the F-15E. To date, Steam users have not been able to get the pre-order with a discount. A release date is still a long time coming. RAZBAM is slowly making itself very unbelievable and not only fooling you users of DCS, but also itself.
This aircraft could be a standalone game on its own. This is both amazing and sad because we have too much modules now and too few corresponding ai / assets
Eagle Dynamics is a russian company...its weird to me that all of the American aircraft are high fidelity but we havent gotten any high fidelity RUSSIAN aircraft..... once again this is a russian company
All good and well these in depth system guides. But can you either release it or post some jet shit. I want to see some in depth guides on the eating G's for breakfast in the SE🫡

They should always use the Moskva as target practice. 😂
Being born and raised in Toledo hearing the F-15E called a "Mudhen" made me smile. Now I need some Mudhen paint so I can bomb Ann Arbor!
I can’t wait for this amazing plane. I was thinking about buying the F-16 but idk, I might save my money and wait for this masterpiece
The F-16 is amazingly fun to fly. Agile and quick, can do quite a lot!
This reminds me of EA Jane's F-15E, fond memories
If only we could get an Officer's Edition box for the DCS version as well! ❤
Thank you for the great tutorial Notso! looking foward for the next video!

Does the altitude of the F-15E matter when doing radar scans? Is there a difference in range/quality/viewangles from being at 30k feet vs 10k feet?
wann kommt die F15 fürs DCS?
PB 17(SP) is probably Snowplow mode.

It's incredible that they had this technology as far back as they did.
This version of the 15E is less than 20 years old
I don’t play DCS…or even own a computer, but this is wild! Can’t believe where flight sims have got to.
I waited for the train. I am now onboard the hype train! - Tjuu tjuuu .Really looking forward for this new Razbam product! Hurra!

That pattern steering line would also be useful if you were say trying to lay a whole string of bombs down a runway, and not do a Black Buck 1.
