I was painting the restrooms at work one day. I was using an industrial type of oil enamel paint. I had the whole area blocked off. I've been in the highway heavy construction and underground for 12 years and I can't believe these guys didn't have a truck blocking their patch if they had no cones or barricades yet. This astounds me but they are cement heads for a reason.
Theres so many signs telling you that you shouldnt drive through the "new" looking spot on the road when theres literally construction workers and barricades as it is idk how someone cant put two and two together.
@@av_990 Not really. The driver can see all these workers and all these barricades standing to the side, so adding 2 to 2 he thinks "Apparently you can drive since all these workers have not put up barricades here. They probably took them away already as they're still standing here"
@@av_990 Playing the devil's advocate, the guy might have assumed the patch was recently made (hence appears wet) and ready for traffic (hence the barricades removed).
Lol. Let's pour concrete and hang out in the truck. No traffic pattern set up.. just let confused motorists drive nilly willy through the construction zone.. 🤪
+FriendlyFireReviews I don't think your average layman would be able to tell the difference between wet cement or new cement that has cured. The lack of proper barricading probably made the driver think it was the latter.
FriendlyFireReviews It probably wasn't. Roads are full of darker and lighter patches where roadwork has been done. Without the barricades there was no indication.
The crew had just poured this location, and left it to the finisher/bull float worker, so they could pour another small spot. Someone should have replaced the barricades before going to the new location. It only takes a second for things to go wrong on a construction site. Safety has to ALWAYS be to top concern.
This is how you make a good video. No bullshit thirty minute long diatribe about how wonderful you are and how smart your mommy told you you are. No fruity music or robot voices. Just a good video with a couple guys laughing. Great.
As dumb as the guy who drove through the wet concrete is, I honestly think this ones on the construction crew. Wet concrete in the middle of what would look to be just a regular road and not a traffic cone or guider in sight.
Hard to actually call the guy dumb cuz its actually hard to know if its wet or not in his position, also 1 barricade usually just means the half is ok to drive on thru since only the other half is wet ( at least from where i live )
Not sure why he would be dumb. There is a construction crew working on a road, and there are no barriers, cones, signs saying that you can't drive through. So it is easy to assume that they are done working and it is safe/okay to go through. The fact that the coloration looks different doesn't mean anything. If there are no stop signs somewhere and you blow past it, are you dumb for not stopping to a sign that doesn't exist?
been working construction the last 20 years, started in masonry/concrete when i was in my teens. This fault lies solely on the concrete workers. Any construction work being done by anyone has to be safeguarded from outside pedestrians/vehicles. Those safety barriers should have been the first things set up before they even started work that day just for their own personal safety, let alone the concrete pad.
This is one of those videos where the commentary of the people taking the video is almost even better than the video itself. A rare occasion on the internet.
Man I can't believe it took me four years to stumble upon this masterpiece, definitely deserves a place among the greatest internet videos, top notch from start to finish.
Kids, if you want to make a great video on RUclips, this is how you do it. First of all, the title is intriguing without being clickbait. You know what it's going to be about but you don't know exactly what you're going to see. Secondly, the video was not shot horizontally! Yes! There is a God! Image quality is great as well, going up to 1080p. Editing is perfectly executed: you get a small "introductory" moment with the first car, giving you time to anticipate what's coming next. Then, you get "the" moment right afterwards and the ending with the hard-hat throwing ( cherry on top IMO ) is a wonderful conclusion. Finally, the two guys commenting are simply awesome. They don't feel the need to describe an event which is self-explanatory unlike so many self-improvised narrators on RUclips.
The best part of this is the barricades were right there! All they had to do was set them in place! To be fair though, that Chrysler plowed right on through like it was nothing!!!!
I love how the two of you could have intervened and saved a few humans some serious headaches but chose instead to cower and giggle and film. You are heroes. What an inspiration.

OSHA and MSHA require hard hats to be worn at all times on a job site.
Rules and regs dude. You gotta follow them even if you're only out to damage other peoples cars.
It protected his hard hat from the ground.
I've been in the highway heavy construction and underground for 12 years and I can't believe these guys didn't have a truck blocking their patch if they had no cones or barricades yet. This astounds me but they are cement heads for a reason.
Doesn't take a genius to put the barriers where they should be.
says the guy whos never worked a day of manual labor in his life. mistakes happen, its easy to point it out in retrospect.
@@tseawell90 it falls on them. Put a barricade up it isn’t hard. Now they have to redo that concrete patch.
Lol. Let's pour concrete and hang out in the truck. No traffic pattern set up.. just let confused motorists drive nilly willy through the construction zone.. 🤪
Yup, total and complete breakdown in process.
As if it wasn’t obvious that was wet cement
that wasn't the worker that was the boss that threw his hat
+FriendlyFireReviews I don't think your average layman would be able to tell the difference between wet cement or new cement that has cured. The lack of proper barricading probably made the driver think it was the latter.
FriendlyFireReviews It probably wasn't. Roads are full of darker and lighter patches where roadwork has been done. Without the barricades there was no indication.
I'm surprised this was filmed horizontally, and by a person that knows how to hold a camera.
Vertical video is a disease. 😉
@@thehouse5564 Heroes don't always wear capes!
@@thehouse5564 it's not that bad.
@@ComedyBros5 some throw them away.
@@ellusivegman agreed, but edgelords have to whinge about something
thumbs up to the dude recording, didn't lose focus and even narrated the events lmao
Finally, a video like this that doesn't have an awful cameraman or annoying commentary. Well done, fellas
And he was recording in landscape mode !!!
Why were your type 1 barricades not in place?
Randell Darcky because type five are better
They were keeping pedestrians from crossing the perfectly dry pavement, lol
type one barricades lollll
just testing a theory of mine, sir
At this stage its more why were you even hired.
Bob: Jimmy did you put the barrier up?
Jimmy: umm Yes
*2 minutes later*
Bob: *JIMMY*
1:26 “Stay there erghh” 😂😂😂
That part had me dying 💀😂
That's hilarious. They have barricades and didn't put them up in an active parking lot? The construction company is 100% to blame on this one.
The crew had just poured this location, and left it to the finisher/bull float worker, so they could pour another small spot. Someone should have replaced the barricades before going to the new location. It only takes a second for things to go wrong on a construction site. Safety has to ALWAYS be to top concern.
Tim House they're lucky no one got hurt and the car wasn't damaged. You have to be alert when you work in public lots and sidewalks.
yup
Its more difficult to get it fixed now it has set up some. It will not be as purdy now.
Concrete and Construction , thanks captain obvious lol
RUclips was made for this type of comedy gold.
Yes indeed to record the random things of the world
The way he drops that barrier down at the end is absolutely fantastic!
if only it had fallen in their ruined work.
This is the definition of RUclips gold
Why does this sound like Mater and Lightning McQueen 😂 this is amazing
Oh wow, you're right haha
LOL
Bob Didlboc the video got much better after reading this comment & realizing you're right.
😱
That is classic once you realize the really do😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
this guy throwing his hat just made my day
Mood 😂
This is how you make a good video. No bullshit thirty minute long diatribe about how wonderful you are and how smart your mommy told you you are. No fruity music or robot voices. Just a good video with a couple guys laughing. Great.
U ok?
0:55 I saw this so many times as an apprentice Electrician but never have I seen a "Triple Skip" with that much distance. Impressive 👏
Definitely the crew's fault in this regard. They should've had that barricade up to prevent potential traffic from coming through.
been working construction the last 20 years, started in masonry/concrete when i was in my teens. This fault lies solely on the concrete workers. Any construction work being done by anyone has to be safeguarded from outside pedestrians/vehicles. Those safety barriers should have been the first things set up before they even started work that day just for their own personal safety, let alone the concrete pad.
I would sue to have my undercarriage cleaned and detailed.
I lost it when he threw his hat
Jayden Petersen it cost a lot of money dude
This is the gold standard for hat-throwing rage quit. LOL.
The filmers were in 100% bliss.
I replayed this video several times just laughing along side of your commentary. The construction guy throwing his hat was the best part. *thumbs up*
This is one of those videos where the commentary of the people taking the video is almost even better than the video itself. A rare occasion on the internet.
Man I can't believe it took me four years to stumble upon this masterpiece, definitely deserves a place among the greatest internet videos, top notch from start to finish.
check out remote control lawn mower prank part 1
this is what youtube was invented for
"He's ploughing he's ploughing he's ploughing, he's gunna go for it!"
Amaaaaazzingg lol
Throwing your hard hat when you’re in charge and only have yourself to blame. Probably sitting in the truck the whole time “doing paperwork”
One of the crew walks up and watches the first car as well. You would think that would have set some bells ringing.
The guy in charge will soon be firing the morons he has working for him
Best commentator duo of the year.
Love this comment! Thank you.
I can’t stand vertical video, the RUclips steady tool made my shaky video look like I had a steady cam.
"Not shot horizontally"?
The Flaming Pike even worse when video is vertical and has blurred sides!!
The best part of this is the barricades were right there! All they had to do was set them in place! To be fair though, that Chrysler plowed right on through like it was nothing!!!!
0:56 that throw made it 10x better
I love how the two of you could have intervened and saved a few humans some serious headaches but chose instead to cower and giggle and film. You are heroes. What an inspiration.
900 of the views are mine. Lol
bee4010 the other 4k were mine lol
Recomended now its 900k views
“Stay there! Hrr!!” Got my lol’ing!!!!!
You mean 1 million?
bee4010, You were one of the few that saw it a long time ago.
I'm curious to know how this happened. It sat in the background for so long, then somehow, BOOM! Over a million view in a week. I got reminders each anniversary, from when i originally posted it. I would watch it again, and laughed every-time, just like it had just happened. I talked to my co-worker that is in the video the other day. I wanted to let him know what has happened with the video. We had some good laughs. The 3 quotes from us... "He's plowing!"; "Did you get that? - I did, I sure as hell did."; "Stay there!". We laugh about those every-time, and oh, of course the hat throw, and it spinning for what seems like forever.
Some say the red helmet is still there to this day
“So, why is that red hard hat always in the parking lot?”
“Well, let me tell you a story...” 😂
Tim House Oh my goodness....you could have started or ended with this comment ☺. Big hug for the laughs this morning💛. You funny guys with your handsome voices make this video🎊. I subscribed. Hugs and kisses. More PLEASE💛
I deliver concrete and I've seen idiots walk right into it while we are still pouring
You are supposed to put a barricade once the road can't be used. You are the idiot expecting every single driver to pick on you lack of common sense.
@@albertalbert7958 even better, put the barricade *before* doing the work
if that happens, you didn't put up barricades, you're the idiot
Joey Parsley I work masonry, and we we’re at a Chic-fil-a doing brick work, it was like 3:30 on a Friday I was packing up and so were the concrete guys all had their tools and getting ready to head to their trucks and I walk straight into their fresh curb tried to stop myself and fell forward and made it worse lmao I thought I was gonna have to fight the entire crew they were so pissed. Was gonna buy them beer that Monday, but guess that was their finish day.
@@RussDoesStuff99 😳 I would have dipped ✌️🏃 💨
The commentary by these two is enough for me. Thanks!
It was more fun hearing you two lol
It seems pretty unreal that someone would pour a new concrete patch and then not put up things around it so people know to drive around it, but clearly I just watched exactly that!
The two announcers make this video great! 👍 The Hindenburg of concrete patch disasters!!
Karl Ruehs oh the humanity!
Karl Ruehs lol @ your profile pic
The commentary is the best
Love the commentary from these guys hahaha
I love how he puts the barrier out after the car drove through it
Well you wouldn't want other cars to do the same thing.
I love the commentary
The commentary is what makes this video so contagiously funny
I rarely rewatch RUclips videos, but this one gets suggested at least once per year and I watch it every time. Love it!
One of the few gems in the recommendations.
*He is going for it, he is going for it!*
MMORPG Music Vault [Video Game Soundtrack] So embarrassing, the words that came out of my mouth. I seriously was going to post without commentary. A friend told me that “made the video”. I had to agree, as embarrassing as it is. 🤣
That was my favorite part, don't ever change =)
Tim House dude, it's hilarious and hurts nobody. laughed my ass off.
Video Game Music Soundtrack Rko !
"oh yes!"
These guys should do voice overs for fail videos😂
"Hey wanna put these road barricades in front of the place we dont want people to go?"
"nah"
This video is already good enough, but you two make it so much better
This is the perfect video. All elements combining the guys commentary and everything ahha this is hysterical
I think this is clearly a contractor to avoid, that's some poor work right there
In all fairness the concrete patch looked splendid, at least from the camera angle. However not setting barricades is the issue.
Missed a golden opportunity to use pour instead of poor.
*pour
Normally commentary is terrible but on this video it was gold!
So did he picked up his hat after the video?
If you truly believe... it will always be there, and eternally spinning. 🤣
Tim House the infinite spin
Tim House i have faith, it's there spinning I know it
I drove by earlier today. It’s still there spinning.
Tim House Legend tells that it spins even to this day. Like a record.
A star is born (actually 2 stars). Get these 2 guys to start a channel. They could review TOYS or microwaveable food or roller coaster rides.
1Hour OfLove what a specific vision you’ve had
Reminds me of the "Car Talk" guys.
1hourOfLove the concrete guys gave them a good setup, but that commentary...bawhahahaha :-D :-D :-D
They have a Bob and Tom feel, true.
No they way too corny and pg
I drove through wet concrete in my old truck, the company didn't pit up any barricade around a blind corner. The threatened to sue me until the forman noticed my dash cam.
The narration by both of you is the best thing ever 🤣
Most people leave a hand print or initials. Over achiever, that one.
Throwing the hat is a sign he's mad as hell at himself
Nah, he's mad at hell at his crew. He turns his back for a minute, and they screw it up...
if he's the boss that means he's suppose to over see the whole operation. if i was the bank and paid for the whole operation i would fire the boss
reggie bayard You've never been a boss have you?
The boss is responsible for the job, but you can't manage dumb. The boss can't do everything that's why staff exist and you can control all staff all the time.
Brem Yep just when you'd thought you idiot proofed the process, they go & bring in a new n improved idiot!
Lesson learnt the hard way, barricades up boys...
Gotta make it hard to do it the wrong way and easy to do it the right way. Two barricades across the middle of the road would've worked just fine.
This is a tremendous video. Thank you for sharing. One of my favs on RUclips.
And hes probably mad at the motorist? You have barricades and didn't even bother to use them? lol
This company is special on a special level lol
He looks mad at the lack of barricade, not the driver.
Shakes 73 He is mad because the driver told them he has their company name and will be contacting via lawyer for damages to his vehicle. Probably cost the company the pay for that concrete job haha.
Jon M company won't necessarily have to pay if it could be proven a specific individual didn't do their job properly
@ Scarlet Peoni: No, the company will have to pay under the theory of _respondeat superior._ The company is responsible for the negligence of its employees when acting in the course and scope of their employment.
Company is responsible for its employees during a shift. I hope he filed for damages caused to the car. That's retarded, how stupid do you have to be to not put barricades up.
Love the commentary. Just having fun
it looks like he even stopped, then saw the barricades and said, OK they moved them off the road so it's good to go.. lol.
Ryan W It looked like they were just 1 lane
What makes this funny is the sheer delight in the narration...!
He's ploughing, he's ploughing, he's ploughing, he's going for it! Hahaha. Everything about this is comedic genius!
