  • Treating ADHD and substance abuse can be challenging because the medications like Adderall used to treat ADHD can also become habit-forming. Stimulants like Ritalin & Adderall are often effective at managing ADHD symptoms, but they also have a high potential risk for abuse.

    I'm 73 and I never got treated and had years of eating disorders, alcohol, bulimia and behavior issues. I'm better now and have been tested for ADHD and I have it but have not gotten treatment yet.

    Treating my adhd helped me stay clean off opioids.
