Glasgow Crit is a great route for interval training. I'll do one lap hard / one lap slow threshold intervals to train ~4 min / 5 min power OR Max sprint at the banner, 1 lap rest, max sprint at the banner to train 10-15 second burst power OR Full Gas Clyde Kicker, 1 lap rest, full gas on Clyde Kicker to train 20-30 second power OR mix and match Hard Sprint, rest, Hard Kicker laps to train quick burst and recover efforts. All kinds of "fun" can be had. With all of that said, I have enough experience on Glasgow to say that a 4 min lap is absolutely cooking. I just looked at Strava and out of the 115 laps I've done there, only 8 of them have gone sub - 4 minutes 10 seconds (and some of those were probably in races with draft). You smashed it.
Yes! For a long time I used Glasgow Crit races as a hidden HiTT session. This was the first time on the course in a long time. I was really gunning for a low 4 minutes on this course hence my frustration I had to sit down on the little downhill after the kicker.
Gerben .. you should be using Bluetooth . I’m sure you heard that before . I’m sure your trainer supports it . If your pc doesn’t support it you can buy a dongle very cheap . Less drop outs . Awesome race as always .. later !
Sound is bit wonky. Don't know what happened there. The effort was real though :D
Smashing it! Nicely done. Happy New Year and luck to you through your cycling efforts this year!!
Thank you and a happy new year to you too!!
After watching this I'm 😮. Wow the levels 👏🏾
Thank you! This one hurt!
Gotta love how the first 20 seconds don't exist... Anyway, colossal effort, that was insane! Congrats :D
The exact location of the starting line will be forever a mystery 😂
400 for basically 5 minutes is a mega effort 🔥
Thank you! Legs hurt for a long time after that one :D
Congrats Gerben at 409! Nice job!
Very happy with it indeed! Thank you!!

Dankuwel en een gelukkig nieuwjaar!
We all know Zwift favours pure watts, you were robbed by his 9 extra kg...
Great ride & HNY Gerben
Sigh. I thought I had it with higher w/k. Got docked a whole 2 points in the Zwift Racing Score :D
I think by his 32 extra Watts ;-) Sometimes Zwift is like real cycling. But indeed, great ride Gerben!

I wish I could use it. But Wahoo always drops my BT connection. I even bought an extra dongle, but that didn't help either :(
is there drafting effect?
Hi. No. Not in a TT.
