Heel Bret is not wrong. Im 33. Raised in Flair country. Saying that a majority of Americans are "nob heads," is putting it mildly- and an understatement. I'll remember Bret Hart until the day I die. But he's totally right about Americans, or a certain segment of Americans, I suppose-I say that as an American. And he's particularly right on that point about WWII.
@@magdabrownis265 Well, I don't want to go into a history lesson here, but to the best of my memory: the historical consensus is that it was unnecessary and contributed little to ending war in the Pacific, although it undoubtedly sped up the process and saved many lives. Japan was already on the verge of surrender and was far more concerned with avoiding a Soviet invasion from Manchuria. In Europe, the USSR essentially carried the war-which isn't to say they did it alone, obviously. History is a lot more complex and nuanced than the way it was taught to us (Americans at any rate) in school.
Not WWII as Britain was about to be invaded and Patton wiped Italy out of the war, but WWI...yeah, we didn't need to show up...although it is a point that you can back with certain arguments so perfect heat from Americans
Without American lend-lease program and the western Allied North-African campaign USSR would have lost, the North-African campaign wouldn't have succeeded without lend-lease by the way. Lend-lease carried the war for the allies.

Your logic don’t make sense not Brets wether what he said was true or not or how he really felt or not you big Jabroni.
I just wanna say, he's clearly in character here, as stated in the video, his book tells his true feelings on things but I wouldn't doubt that some of that is real, he took it real seriously.
WM 8 Piper vs Hart should have been 2nd to last and Savage vs Flair should have been main event. Hogan vs Sid was mid card at best at WM8. My opinion
Very true.. But its Hogan brother 💪🏻 hahaha
Now I'm imagining Hogan taking a powerbomb hahaha
Very true.
That doesn't work for me brother.@@codyblair2633
Your opinion is correct.
Bret=my GOAT
I love Face, Heel and Retired Bret!
Heel Bret is not wrong.
Im 33. Raised in Flair country. Saying that a majority of Americans are "nob heads," is putting it mildly- and an understatement.
Nearly everything George Carlin said about Americans is true for about 9 out of 10 of us. Education, healthcare, poverty, homelessness, respect for each other, etc.- we suck at all of it.
Shawn will always be my favorite but Bret is a legend and his career has aged like wine!
Bret the very definition of "A superstar" and heel Bret was cool 😎
CHICKENbottom will always be a cowardly POS. lol
Shawn had the luxury of coming back from his issues being much stronger, but Bret had a concussion and stroke and didnt have that same longevity. IMO.
This is also around the time they fought in real life bret and Shawn so I could understand the anger he had
HBK single-handedly kept the chewing gum industry alive throughout the 90s.
He used to dip his gum in cocaine just before he chewed it.
Don't forget Mr Perfect who probably did even more for it with everybody trying to replicate his spitting and smacking of the gum lol
I respect the efforts of a man ready to bury treasure amongst the seven seas. (In the name of preservation of course.)
Indeed.
😄👍
brother
YARR, MATEY!
I really commend your hard work and dedication to your craft! Keep up the phenomenal work brother Ryan! Looking forward to RTW this week!
Bett Hart's legacy will never fade !!! He will forever be a template of what to strive to be as a pro wrestler . Love him or hate him you cant deny how great he was in the ring . I cant even imagine any student of the game disagreeing with that .
Good in the rain but not good out of the ring
I was hoping his one fan, Smokey, the cat would make an appearance!
Team America is the perfect example of what his royal jamness is talking about 😂
As a child I felt safe watching bret hart in the ring 😊
I was looking for this video for years. I hope you cover the rest of the interviews.
I'll remember Bret Hart until the day I die.
But he's totally right about Americans, or a certain segment of Americans, I suppose-I say that as an American. And he's particularly right on that point about WWII.
Atomic bomb?
@@magdabrownis265 Well, I don't want to go into a history lesson here, but to the best of my memory: the historical consensus is that it was unnecessary and contributed little to ending war in the Pacific, although it undoubtedly sped up the process and saved many lives. Japan was already on the verge of surrender and was far more concerned with avoiding a Soviet invasion from Manchuria. In Europe, the USSR essentially carried the war-which isn't to say they did it alone, obviously.
History is a lot more complex and nuanced than the way it was taught to us (Americans at any rate) in school.
shoutout to those american progressives who would find Alberta to be a bastion of canadian liberalism 😛
"Cold is when your spit freezes before it hits the ground." I remember that from when I was a kid. Still love that line.
Bret felt his jam was the sweetest 😅
I think the difference between the book is the man Bret Hart. The interview is Character Bret Hart.
I think maybe one day you should review in a long video Brets main 5 dvds (wrestling with shadows, the 2005 one, hart family, Bret Shawn rivalry, dungeon collection). 😉✌🏻
I was 21 when this came out. Had it on VHS and DVD. It was quite a big deal when it came out. I remember the talk about taker breaking character. Loved this.
Heel Bret Hart is my favorite Hart! Love this interview!
Hitman vs perfect 91 a masterclass on how its done
Their king of the ring match aint too shabby either!
@@indianastones6032 damn right
Summerslam 90 is probably my all time favorite ppv, Hart's beating Demolition and the pop is always the coolest moment to me, i was young then lol
Lonesome Dove is absolutely amazing, well worth a watch. Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall are spectacular! It's long tho
It's iconic, bret was in the tv series however filmed in alberta. One of the stars was eric McCormick
Bret speaks thruth and gets heat.
However, Bret will never get as much heat as Dave Meltzer
CM Hart
Cool find. I think you should use that still image of Bret looking at the screen and have it play the "Smokey the Cat" t-shirt video as a cold opening.
With the exception of bulldog, excerpts from those interviews are used on the best of wrestlemania vhs/dvd they put out in the attitude era.
Watching this and which matches were highlighted, really reminds you of how many all time classic matches Brett had.
Thanks Pal you should do more of these
Your videos are just great.
If you are not an oldschool fan from the 80s or early 90s , Piper vs Hart may not sound that appealing . But I promise you its great . All the little things both guys do in all facets leading up to the finish all tells a fantastic story . And every move they do makes sense in telling said story . Which you dont see much of in that type of detail today .
Road Dog is disliking this video for all of the time Bret Hart told him to Shut up
"..........shut up!" Haha
As an American, every word said by heel Bret Hart is pretty on the money.
Looking forward for the Davey interview
It needs to include a special feature for the Davey Boy Smith Chinlocks.
Nothing but pure pipelined Chinlockery!!
Because he's bizarre whether he wants to be or not
I always thougt the america vs canada thing was great it pulled us in we got to be apart of the show we got to be the "heels" to the whole world i dug it it was a time that will never happen again glad i got to see it
As if we weren't heels/laughingstocks to the rest of the world in real-life when we've had both Trump & Biden as our last two presidents.
Bret Hart was no doubt the best heel in the business in 1997. He knocked it out of the park that year with the Hart Foundation Vs USA stuff.
Total gem. Thanks for sharing!
I grew up a hard-core wrestling fan. My first love was WWF. My first ever favorite was the Warrior around the time if Mania 6 hecause I just wasn't a hulkamaniac.
2 years or so later it dawned on 8 year Mez just how awesome Bret Hart was. To watch him grow from a tag champion, to an INCREDIBLE IC champion, and by 1992, just s few years since Mania 6, Bret won his first world title from , of all people, Ric Flair !
The 9 year old Mark is me cried when Bret got screwed at WM9
I was lucky to be born in a generation that saw so many incredible careers, blossom in front of my eyes !
The type of Wrestler Bret was is that if Bret in his prime can be the top guy in any era. Bret could beat Roman Reigns.
Probably 5th or 6th here.. the earliest I’ve ever been for a Wrestling Bios video.. Great work as always 😊😊😊
Are we getting the other 3 interviews also… and How about a unsung hero’s of the WWWF / WWF ( a look at the mega stars of the first 20 years 1963-1983 of the WWF ) so we can look back at the hero’s and villains of the Pre Hogan era
That "Surprise Muthafuckaaaa" broke me. That was freakin hilarious.
Never owned this tape but I remember very well how parts of these were reused for the Bret & Shawn Survivor Series 97 video packages and also for the Best of Wrestlemania & Best of Survivor Series tapes from 98 (the latter being for Taker Vs. Hogan).
Vince letting him go to WCW was a huge mistake. He could have been amazing during the attitude era.
So many matches that never happened. The Rock, Triple H, rematch with Stone Cold, Kurt and Jericho. All matches that would have been great.
Aside from Sting, the wasted Mike Awesome and few others, there was no one in WCW who could hold a candle to Bret.
I remember this. Had to get a special 4hr VHS to record it off Sky.
This is really cool. I’ve always seen small clips of these but could never find where they came from.
I remember this giving bret another dimension, then gone? We had 5 years of dull interviews, this was the only feel
Thanks for uploading these hard to find videos Bro! I love the attitude ERA!!!
Man this brings back memories thank you so much
Stop saying, Bret Hart was a heel! He has been and always will be a face. The fans turned their back on him.
A friend of mine went to a show wearing Hitman glasses Micheals ripped them off his head my friend punched him and was dragged up the isle by security, true story,I'm sure Mr Bios knows that,
So, Man-at-Arms punched HBK? XP (I'm joking, obviously. I am merely making a passing reference to your username; Big MOTUSPOP fan, by the way [all versions that I felt were worth seeing, but mainly the' 80s originals by Filmation Studios, the 2002 reboot of _He-Man_ which aired on Cartoon Network but was cancelled far too soon, and the admittedly controversial LGBTQ+ 2018 reboot of _She-Ra_ by ND Stevenson on Netflix; I've not yet seen the two recent _He-Man_ reboots that are also on Netflix to judge them fairly or not, yet, however.)
@@TherealRNOwwfpooh the Netflix show is really impressive but its Teela's story so be prepared for that.🤘😆🤘
@@adamofgrayskull7735 I also heard that both He-Man (whose secret identity as Prince Adam is revealed to all present, including Teela, King Randor, and Queen Marlena, with her Majesty basically saying that she kind of sort of knew it all along, but kept the secret hidden from her husband & Teela for protective reasons, I'm guessing) and cackling Uncle Kaldar as Skeletor are seemingly killed within the first few episodes, if not the first episode itself.
@@TherealRNOwwfpooh true.its about Teela,s rise and her relationship with the sorceress
