Wonderful work! I am real happy about the build , im also wondering if you still have the auto trans parts. I am looking for a valve body for the '98 r34 GTTS, i've been searching for quite some time
Cheers man! A big video is coming for it very very soon! And unfortunately I don't have the main components as of now :( sold the whole unit to DeSylva spares last year, definitely worth checking through him, he hoards all sorts of parts
@olivervas4927 he's on Facebook, I think he has his own page, but he does post a lot of Skyline stuff so shouldn't be hard to find. Under Tyrone De Silva
I believe it was about 40mm, there was a post on the SAU forum that had the measurements I however got a shop to assist with the conversion as I didn't have appropriate tools to finish the job
The auto box oil has had one change before it got worse, two more changes after it played up, sadly replacing shift selector and solenoids just didn't cut it like I thought 😅
what is it like on the high way i’m about to do the exact same swap with a r34 rb 20 box but i’ve been told the revs are going to be near 3k on the high way due to the auto diff ratio
I had JPJDM finish the rest of the conversion as i was struggling to get the new gearbox under the car on my own. There are forum posts out there that tell you which wires need to be spliced, check SAU for sure 🤞🤞
would be nice if you could copy/paste here in your description so when the forums lose their info, you have it copied here for future generations. @@JapboxJacob
@Japbox Jacob My friend just told me that he thinks it should be ok, as long as the model came out with both manual/auto transmission. But if it only came out with an auto then you would need an engineer certificate. Let me know if this is right
@@sonny.888 that does sound about right, as a manual swap is considered a modification to the vehicle, swapping the trans would count. But if the car came out in an automatic and manual like the 34, you should be fine as long as the parts are the original type they came with. So as long as I don't put a 6 speed BMW box in, I'll be fine (if I did I would have to get it engineered) 😄 Defs a learning experience with this one

@@JapboxJacob Thanks a lot , i'll be back with the results
What size did you have to drill for the clutch master cylinder? 40mm?

Maybe look into the gearbox oil.

Touch more revs will help smooth out your shifts
Definitely will mate, gotta play around with it next time I drive 😌

With the auto diff, it's averaging 1300rpm to 1400 roughly last i recall. It's not too bad for a gtt box which is good 🙌
@ nah that’s good i’ll have to see how the rb20 box goes hopefully mine goes the same
@@josephhunter857how’d you get on with the rb20 manual conversion on your r34? Currently doing the same conversion as we speak
@@jaydenkerr6393 honestly haven’t even started just trying to tidy the car up a bit before i start doing the swap
@@josephhunter857 did you want some updates on what I do and what needs to be done? Their isn’t a heap out their for the 20de swap only really 25de
what did you do for the wiring?

Did you have to let vic roads know that it is now a manual after the swap or you don't need to? Thanks
I honestly should? I don't think it'll make much difference if you're fully licensed butttt defs gonna do that for book keeping sake

How much did that conversion cost you?
Roughly 4.5 in parts and then did most of it myself before spending $1300 to get it finished off

🤙🤙 cruises are back on my dude 🫡
What Tailshaft did you use
Half the manual and auto ends to bridge the gap pre much
