“Built Not Bought is a multi-disciplined automotive and outdoor entertainment outlet.
We live by the term “EDU-TAINMENT” a cross between education and entertainment. A one-stop-shop for all DIYers to learn, engage and be inspired by our brand."
This video takes me back. Love this old o.g bnb style mixed in with the new crazy bnb adventure series doing wild trips and stuff
Glad you enjoyed it!
Definitely what your channel has been missing for a while now 👍🏼
Yeah definitely keep this type of vid going man. I know it takes a lot more time but would be a great help for people who are not looking to be a mechanic but still want to get their hands in an engine. Maybe go into a little more detail on how to shim or how to set up and use a dial gauge to find tdc. When my kids ask me questions they are usually about what the correct tool is or how to use it properly. Keep it up bro.
Will do!
Wow Sam this is unreal, I left a negative comment on the nav giveaway (easy to do from behind a keyboard) but this really is what a lot of people where missing and I watched the whole thing and honestly 10/10. No forced humour, no sponsorships thrown in everywhere, just honest simple Sam building shit in the shed. Awesome mate.
I feel like the simple, although harder to edit videos are what everyone is after, there is so much forced money grabbing sponsored videos out there now, that coming across videos like this are what people will find interesting. Take for instance Sam sulek, films gym videos on his iPhone and has almost 2m subscribers in less than a year, just simple no bs videos.
Anyways, obviously you’ve got lots of different people watching but this is definitely what a lot of people want to see. Good stuff 👍
I remember the ute build I used to look forward to each week of seeing what was next, back in the backyard in wa. Lately I could take it or leave it but this is getting back to the old days again which is good.
Definitely would like to see more of this, brings me back to my apprenticeship days.
Definitely feels like the old days of bnb! 🤌🏼
Loving it make keep it up! ✊🏼
I like this in-depth style
Heaps better, love watching episodes like this and just being able to relax and watch it 🤙🏼
Best video released from Sam in ages. Very enjoyable to watch. More content like this with all builds.
I enjoy watching engine rebuilds
Love the proper build eps with more detail. Definitely took me back to the LS patrol build. Good work Sammy 🤙
Absolutely, keep em coming, this is where it all started Sam so back to old school post's
I know its more work, but this is what your channel is based on. More of this please!
Love this video, takes it back to the original BNB videos.
My partner an I love watching BNB.
Glad to see this video pop up earlier today.
Thanks Sam. much prefer this style of video, love the channel that supports the DIY guy. Couple of points you missed for your viewers trying this at home - check orientation of your pistons and rods - the often have a front mark that points to the front of the engine. If your doing new Rods its worth getting a number stamp and numbering them for future reference... And ring gap placement , check the engine spec or ring manufacturer for specifc placement, particular with diesel engines, this is critical to correct break in. keep up the good work!
Yes definitely do more videos like this. They can be very helpful to a lot of people
I miss these types of videos, would be good to get them back again
Love the tech side of engine building!👍👍
Big fan of this. I don't think anyone interested in cars wouldn't be - especially given your attention to detail. Appreciate your candor on these as well Sam. 🙏 ✌️
Best video you’ve uploaded in ages
Keen to keep seeing more of this stuff as well! Definitely takes it back to the old school BNB days
Definitely keep up with the new series man back to why I started watching
would love to see you rebuild old diesels that young people are using that they have money for pre 2000s and early 2000s. like the paj and delica
This is the i learnt the patrol eps like this are the best
Yeah maté this is why I started watching your videos keep them coming
Keep it up. Shows a better side to you, more down to earth than your typical "influencer".
Well done. More please.
Definitely worth your while Sam. Would love to see more
Mint episode maté definitely keep them coming episodes like this is what got me started watching your channel. Your proof that you can diy and pick up the required skills instead of just “call the guy”
Back to basics... Love it!
Gday, this episode was brilliant, definitely keep these coming mate, cheers
Yeah definitely like these technical episodes. May learn something new👍
This is why I subscribed way back before you moved over to Qld.
Saw your Ig story.
I subbed way back in 2017 for this type of content, and Chasing Lines!! Your audience is grown up, and often we just want grown up content. A stupid episode now and again is cool (like tiny wheels on the patrol) but I’d rather watch this.
This was great keep them coming as it better than some of your other episodes lately 👍
I love these style clips mate. Thanks for you efforts. Cheers Steve
Really enjoyed the episode mate Definitely do these episodes in between the others

Wicked ep defs took a lot from it so can say keep them coming!
this is better. i know im being a bit if a Debbie downer but i actually stopped watching some channels lately as theyve gone too far away from their roots and what i subscribed for.i understand channels evolve but it was getting past me a bit. i like the original people/format, and im very happy to be watching built not bought this morning. keep up the great work Sam.
Mint episode mate keep them coming 👌
