I like how some attacks are based off of the Bros. Attack of Superstar Saga, and I really like that because it still shows those elements to kids these days.
I think my favorite of the Trio Attacks is definitely Kite, and it's the one I rely on for consistent damage. Seriously, you turn them to paper, strap them to a kite, send them hundreds of feet (?) into the air, usually around 1600-1700 when I use it, and then you hit them with a hammer and send them crashing down to earth.
I first thought Luigi's "Balloon Blast" was the "Super Bouncer" from Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. I got really excited to use it again. But I was made a fool. :(
If anyone here has ever seen Super Mario Bros Z, then you'd agree with me that if Paper Mario ever guest-starred in that, it would be AWESOME. Paper Mario's zany attacks and paper powers combined with SMBZ-style fighting.
I don't know. I've played both Dream Team and Paper Jam; the Dropchopper to me feels sluggish with Circle Pad controls, while the Gyro controls felt sharp and responsive, albeit a little too responsive at times.
My damn, those sprites! I wish this gameplay was way faster though, it looks too easy. I remember it being an accomplishment if I managed to do a complete bro attack in Saga. Not really into them being items either.
I haven't any rating other than 'Ok' on Toad Trail. It's a nightmare. Same with Trio Meteor, except I can get Excellent. It's so hard to move the Enemies into the centre.
+ProGamer99 With Trio Meteor, you only have to hit at least ONE enemy with each meteor to get Excellent. Luigi and Mario's meteors are faster, so don't waste time moving every enemy to the center, save that for the final meteor.
Matthew Brady That's understandable, but I like these attacks better than the ones from Superstar Saga, because they have more of that minigame feel. Don't know if any of you saw the Mario & Luigi episode of Did You Know Gaming where they said the people at Alphadream said they based the Mario & Luigi RPGs off of former RPGs they did where special attacks were like minigames. I think turning the Bros. Attacks into items gives them more of that minigame feel, and for the most part, you definitely get a sense of accomplishment out of pulling them off for maximum damage. Besides, after getting Superstar Saga for my 3DS, I can safely say the Bros. Attacks in that game are easier to do than the ones in the later games. Sure, I did have to relearn them, but after that, they're pretty much cake to pull off. I guess my reflexes got better with age with certain games. I remember them being tougher to pull of in the GBA original when the game first came out.
I love how they made Paper Mario so unique in this. The way he can copy himself in order to make himself stronger is such a cool idea, and the unique Bros. Attacks and Trio Attacks are amazing. Especially Mega Thwonk.

Fire Flower: I didn't really like it much in Bowser's Inside Story and it doesn't look like it changed much. Probably going to ignore this one for the most part. Drill Shell: Chopper Bros. much? Also, Thwonk may be the best word ever. Trio Racquet: Oh, goody, I still get two Shell attacks in a turn, but this one is deadlier. Sweet. Trio Kite: BY THE POWER OF BUTTON MASHING! Looks like another good damage dealer for the early game. Trio Whirligig: I don't even know how to pronounce this one, but I don't think I'll need to worry about it because I doubt I'll be using it much. 5:33: Trio Whirligig
6:33: Trio Shuriken
7:18: Trio Meteor
(All of these are from this game)
Nice nod to dream team with the mega thwomp
1:02 If motion controls were brought back, I GUARANTEE you this attack would use them. Also, I can’t do Toad Trail for shit. Like, I hold up and steer, but I can’t get higher than OK, if I even succeed
YAY THE BROUGHT BACK DROPCHOPPER
In all the attacks (except for 3D Red Shell) the bros. are going ham on their enemies.
Reported for wiggler abuse
0:42 use x2 speed
So satisfying
6:59 use 2 speed
The mario bros: uses some really strong and crazy attack.
Bowser jr and paper bowser jr: 0 total damage.
7:30 "No mercy for-a the damned. Thou hath-a no escape from the wrath of-a catastrophe. METEOR-A SWARM!
I love when paper mario use the hammer to crush the enemy lmao
Dropchoper makes its come back
Some of these are cool and all, but I miss when Bros. Attacks were quick and flashy super moves instead of being long drawn-out mini-games that drag every fight out.
Especially in fights where you gotta keep spamming the same one...
Uses a bros Attack, gets excellent
0 damage each
Should they ever make another one of these, please include Paper Luigi or the babies. The possibilities are infinite.
If your questioning why are there many Paper Marios during the Trio Shriken attack it's because There is a stack of Paper Marios
That's why Paper Mario looks 3d
That's not right, there is a stack because that's an ability of Paper Mario in this game.
Geez, some of these rival even Superstar Saga's bros. attacks
7:06 kind of funny that Mario finished the attack by actually throwing Luigi through the wall
2 bros. attacks from M&L : DTB ! Yes !
anyone remember the Secret Box in Dream Team?
