Oh what the hell! I was ready to see it buttoned up! This is too much for my senses! Ahhhh! Lol. It's almost 1AM. I'll be watching for the next one but I need to sleep a couple of hours. Doing an amazing job man.

How come you grease parts when it will all be in an oil bath? Or does the grease just wash out with the oil change later?
+Nerb1 Yea buddy, the grease is just for the first little while until oil gets all over everything, which can be some miles, then after a while of riding, I'll dump the contaminated oil out, and refresh with some synthetic. I might even do that a couple times....
Where you get the repair manual, for the trans. I'm not finding them. I got a 2005 GS that had the dreaded clutch fail. Thx Clint

I have an r1150 gs with the tall overdrive you just swap.Would like to find me an intermediate shaft from an adventure, would like to swap 1st and maybe 2nd gears.Any idea where can i find it?
Unfortunately, the only way that I know of is to get a full adventure transmission from ebay, and hybrid the gears like I did... sorry...

Good stuff. What was the silver/grey coloured lube/grease you were using? The gearbox was the scariest bit when I rebuilt my KTM300 bottom end. It had me split the cases a couple of times to get things right!
+JoeJoe Moto It's some special moly lubricant... I'll post a picture later when i'm in the shop... after a ton of reading, it was the most recommended moly lube for tranny assembly and spline lubrication.

Man there is a lot going on all at once. Between the last segment and this one. Looks kind of like juggling on a skateboard.
+azdesertdog This tranny stuff actually isn't as bad as it seems, after staring these parts down for so long, and looking over manuals, it actually wasn't as gnarly as I was thinking it would be.
Does you used all 2RS sealed bearings?
I used BMW 1150 GSA part numbers for each of them
BMW went to Getrag to get a quieter, smoother gearbox.
Rojo lube everywhere!

Have you ever had to do a Triumph trans? Like on your Trident? Curious about how different it is.
