I learned at school that the width needs to be the same. I am very curious about this prototype that once side is slighly thicker than the other. Can someone explain?

That looks like a part designed and molded purely as a demonstration. It is to show how Solidworks plastics finds really obvious issues. No one would ever actually mold a part like that with one very thick side and one very thin side.

Is Plastics available to use in the student version? I was thinking of taking the CSWPA Molding certification exam, but it sounds like Plastics is needed.

Hi, Plastics is indeed available in the SOLIDWORKS Student Edition! You can browse what's included in the student suite here: tinyurl.com/swx-student-edition and contact us for any other questions.

ask permission to ask pqk how to make a plastic injection machine and how much is the price to make the prototype plastic injection machine (machine).
