I quite like it I usually play valk and add cams to common entry routes, then I risk 1st floor and flank through stairs. However this only works cuz its a new map once people learn it it will be harder

I love Lair. After years of trash maps Ubisoft finally created a banger. The trick is not to pick 2F. Defend the basement and 1F by roaming 2F.

Bro what? 2f is peak, y’all just be making that tv room rotate, on first round, you only make that rotate if you lose first round 2f, you make those goofy head holes on the wall to hallway also parallel to main wall which needs to be bandit tricked because it is the strongest wall to breach
My win delta on emerald and lair are so high because most people don’t put in the time to learn them lol. They just auto ban… but why? Literally all u need to do is pick 1 entry, and do it every round until you learn an efficient route to each site.
For me its stables on emerald, and gate on lair. Just drone the known spawn peek and you are good. I love when people try the 1/2 way out the door spawn peek on gate spawn. Ping & prefire all day..
In the end both maps are honestly really fun and emerald is probably the most interesting in the game aesthetically so idk. Easy wins if they somehow get selected for the match.
For me it’s north spawn on lair or whatever it’s called, only for 2f you can just walk straight up to main wall and breach it within 20 seconds if you have 1:a guy on drones watching windows 2: a anti denial character, worst one for this map is twitch and 3: a hard breached, best one for this wall is thermite to get plant down fast, but if you want to open it with ace to make head holes in the back wall on default to stop anyone walking through hall way, but thermite is way better for the wall due to speed against a bandit
I’d rather play nighthaven 15 times in a row than back to back on lair
Lair is a great map. My stack knows how to take effectively on offense and know how to hold on defense. My stats on this map and about 25-30% higher than on other maps.

Athieno, what are some tips to get better with knowing maps?
Play some of the training stuff helped me learn maps layout at least so I didn't get lost.
The only time I win this map is if my teammates are god tier or the other team is asser than ass
Lair at first was a bad map for me but when my stack started banning mute when we got lair we won a lot more lair matches
The best op so far in defense, and really the only one I've been able to use on this map is Alibi.
I always rush bathroom on first site , nobody play it
They need to adjust the odds of getting the same map/new maps. Idk why Lair is locked in ranked. So dumb playing the same map over and over and over again or not being able to vote to ban.

Seriously, I hate this map. Its a damn maze.
Played only 13 games this season(I don’t play rainbow like that) and 12 with a friend(his career is rainbow btw) and out of those 12 games I didn’t go positive 3 of them but 2 of them were support since we Alr had two entry fraggers but I went neutral in both of those and my one negative game was my first one. In 13 games I did not once get lair nor didn’t I even get it in the map que so I had no knowledge that it was even a thing so once we got it and I did poorly on it which is to be expected he puts literally all the blame on me(mind you there is someone who did worse than I did) and while yes me having no clue that the map even existed was particularly my fault saying it’s all my fault that we lost that game when I wasn’t the only one who did bad is crazy and he goes onto say that no its not my fault it’s his fault for even playing with me when again out of the 12 I played with him I was top frag or second and in those 12 combined I had a 1.7 kd. So that’s how I feel about lair it can ruin 6 year long relationships in a single game 👍🏽
