    Imagine fighting in the same era as prime Jones and DC, then once they're both out of the picture you're sitting on the sidelines with injury while guys you have wins over go ahead and win the title that you never held. I would have loved to see Gus as champ, he deserved it as much as anybody.

    No one is talking about it… but I will never forget Gustaffson when Khamzat had signed the contract he said "he will become a UFC champion" when still no one was talking about Chimaev.

    Gustafsson being the captain of that team has both evolved the team as well as been sort of a brake in his own progress. Hopefully he finds a way to reach his full potential again. Without injuries this man would have worn gold already.

      You know they usually go over what they are going to discuss beforehand right? Especially in this kind of interview. This clip is from "ufc's prospects for 2022" or whatever it was called on espn... the whole point of the show was to talk about the years hottest prospects.

    Something about the way he said it, but I think Gus was telling the truth when he predicted that Khamzat wold KO the Kamaru! There was a split second twinkle in his eye before he said that the champ would get KO’ed or there was a good chance of him geting KO’ed!

    I hate how non champions get zero respect. This guy has done some legendary things that most individuals could never do! Show the legend alex some respect. I met him at UFC232 presser at mariot hotel, CA. He was passing by he saw me and my friends I’m like alex! He legit came and greeted us! Such a lovable legendary giant. Don’t ever forget what he did to JBJ 1st fight, Glover, DC. Cmon a legend.

    Disrespect to one of the best light heavyweights of all time talking about khamzat for 2/3 of the interview... like i get why you bring him up. and if it was a hour interview it would be ok... but this is crazy

    Some may see his questions at the end as a lack of respect but they are certainly not. These are tough but necessary questions someone has to ask. I think we are all kidding ourselves if we deny wondering the same thing or perhaps even talking about these same things with others. Much respect to both of these gentlemen and wish them the best in their career(s).

    It's sad to think Guss would have been lightweight UFC champ if Jones hadn't cheated. Jones cheated him of that and then questioned Guss's character. Guss should get him for that.

      I think gus problem when he was fighting was like wonderboy, just a bit to nice sometimes, so many times i feelt if he had that extra mean style he would have had the belt, also I think with a better grappling game would have helped, as soon as somebody get his back like jones or that other dude it was over, that was his weak spot, 🥴

    Imagine getting the chance of interviewing an amazing fighter in Gustafsson and chose to make almost the entire interview about Khamzat. I like Khamzat alot, but this is kind of disrespectful no matter how willing Gustafsson is in answering the questions.
