@@txcken6276 I have both GAD and OCD with secondary depression from the GAD according to my psychologist. The biggest change has been to my sleep. Sleeping used to be the worst I would lay awake and the OCD would caused spikes in anxiety over and over and over for hours. So I used to waiting until I was exhausted and then just pass out. Now I can choose when I want to go to sleep, lay down and sleep, now sometimes the OCD kicks in but it's not every night and it's not for hours on end.
The second change is my reaction to certain events. Where I used to have a panic attack (difficulty breathing, neausia, vomiting, can't sir still, racing heart, sweating lasting hours) now I have the initial swoop of anxiety and can pull myself back.
Some nights are prefect and I still have panic attacks but not near as often and not near as debilitating. I used to manage all my systems with lifestyle and other choices but it got to much I wasn't looking for a magic pill to take it all away I just needed help to smooth out the peaks and valleys and I've been quite happy with the results.

My first post ever on RUclips 🙌🏼 I was diagnosed with general anxiety in October 2020 (after a terrible panic attack in the mall on a random Friday morning) and I’ve been taken cipralex ever since. I was against taking this kind of medication at first but I was losing my mind so I was given no choice. I wish someone would have told me about the side effects 😒 the first 14 days were a nightmare. But I didn’t give up and I continued taking them and I have to say that it helped me so so so much 🙏🏻 cipralex and prayers healed me. I’m still taking it and lowered the dose to 10mg now.

My ex kept my 6 month old son from me after abusing me and threatening to kill herself constantly over 2 years if i tried to leave her.. the break up was hard and i didnt see my son for 44 days. I started having anxiety attacks. I've had about 3 in the past 6 weeks. Got my son back, 50 50 custody, but the stress almost makes me feel high sometimes and I dissociate rarely. I am worried this new medication might make things so much worse but I've heard it will def help in the long run and is bettwr than taking ativan every second or third day. I’ve taken this medication for weeks now at 5mgs. 8 in total. And it did nothing. The doc increased it to 10mgs. This has caused side effects. Two weeks in on increased dose. Yesterday I felt like stopping the drug as was exhausted. Yawning all the time. Today much better. You need at least two months and more on this drug to feel better. It’s a drug you need to keep taking to feel better. I’ve had all sorts of dreams as well. Feeling hot and sweaty, dry mouth, but am keeping going as I need to feel better. I’m coming up to 70 years old. And was feeling quite low.

At last I’m improving and most of the sides have gone. I take it in the morning. And my mental health is improving by the day. And physical energy is improving. As a pensioner it dulls my bone pain as well.

Thank you for your interesting videos. In case of Escitalopram I want to add an information about the dosage: some doctors prescribe this medication in dosages up to 30 mg/d. I know, that this not recommended in guidelines, but often practiced (like for treating OCD). I guess, that the benefits may not better than 20 mg, but it can be a last trial to proof, if Escitalopram may work for you. I already took 30 mg, but in my case there was no difference about any effect of the lower dosage.

Hello, I'm new here and I hope I could get some advice as my father is having depression and anxiety that is caused by his memory lapse. He was already taking Rivotril as he couldn't sleep at night. However, his Doctor gave another 1 antidepressant escitaloprám (jovia) for the first time last night and the side effect was intense. The rivotril did not effect instantly as he used to be when he took jovia together as Doc prescribed. He had hallucinations, he was asking odd questions like who is the owner of this house and why there are so many people here, which is, he and my mom only people here. This is actually the first time happened when taking this Jovia, is that really normal? It's kinda scary. 😢 Please let me know if someone experienced that. Thank you!
