What i like about this song's usage in the game is that it is in a boss battle, but isnt the boss's theme. This song is the boss hearing your boss music
@jessquiatchon2204 it plays during the boss battle, but both the title and lyrics are about the protagonist and the group that they teamed up with to fight the boss.
I like how you described what you think Genshin does well. I love Wildfire, I think it's epic and they knocked it out of the park, and it captures the emotion very well. Lately, however, a lot of people have been unnecessarily comparing it to Genshin; I understand the urge to do so, but like you said, Genshin goes at things from a different angle. The "movement progression" composition of Genshin pieces is a big plus for me. It's something that I adored about the Halo series, as well. I don't think one is inherently better than the other, they're different approaches for achieving different results, and what one prefers is going to come down to personal preference.
Oh yeah especially Halo 1 and 2, though 3 and beyond definitely had some beautiful scores. That Steve Vai solo for 2's title alone goes WAY too hard. Drags you right into the mindset of "You remember this? ARE YOU SURE!???"
Part of the difference is also due to the difference in play style between the two games. Genshin has real-time combat so you usually have to pay more attention to what you're doing. The music has to complement the action without distracting too much from it, which is why even the boss fight themes tend to be a bit understated. Star Rail is turn-based, so other than timing your ultimates off-turn you don't NEED to be constantly focused on the gameplay. So the music can go really hard.
After listening to Wildfire for the first time, I concluded for myself that not only is it epic (which I undoubtedly love), but throughout its entire length it justifies your expectations of how it should sound (I hope I was able to formulate it correctly) and It is from this that you catch an unreal buzz.
Honkai puts out some big bangers, not as frequent as Arknights but they tend to hit different especially in context. Wildfire is a whole different breed though with how it's very listenable outside of context, it reminds me of Oaths (APHO1) and Oracle (APHO2) in style.

You should check out some of Blue Archive's osts While Arknights, Genshin, and Honkai have great theming I think Blue Archive has them beat in terms of pure fun with a lot of "playful" high energy tracks
Gacha music has legit usurped the lion's share of my playlist. These days, you're more likely to hear songs from Arknights, Honkai, and Punishing Grey Raven on my phone than, say Queens of the Stone Age, or Rage Against the Machine.
Personally, I prefer the instrumental version of this track that plays during the first phase of this particular boss, A trap with no return. You still get the same snare explosions and the very tense, epic strings and general orchestration but it takes the forefront instead of being pushed behind the more generic hype vocals. Not to say that this full version is BAD per se, it just feels more cookie-cutter scored to appeal to people's sense of excitement in the moment, not to mention that in context of the actual boss fight I really dislike the false starts because it kinda stays silent too much to work as proper BGM in my opinion. Still a great track to listen to in a vacuum, but not my favorite.
@@narius_jaden215 it's cool for a little bit in the singular moment that the drop happens in the boss fight, but the song is barely conducive as BGM for a fight like this, especially if it happens to take a long time. I find myself absolutely feeling the moment of the first phase so much stronger because it's not jerking my attention span around to tempo change and try and drum up excessive hype, and every time I fight Cocolia for weekly drops now the second phase has lost a tremendous amount of replayability for me since the hype well has already dried up. Imo, the lyrics are basically a cheap and easy way to have people emotionally connect with a song without needing a whole lot of depth or real complexity, and it's the recipe that anime has used for a long time since it works really well on a general audience. It's a cool, loud song with vaguely meaningful lyrics blaring behind flashy visuals to evoke a specific feeling at the end of the day. But of course, everyone feels differently about it. I'm not any more correct than you because it's a matter of perspective.
Honkai Star Rail is NOT an alternate universe. It still exists in the same universe as HI3, and is directly connected to it. That said, the story of Star Rail is not a direct continuation of HI3’s story. It’s more akin to another layer on top of what already exists regarding Honkai lore. A bunch of people are going to say different things about how the Honkai universe works, mainly because of how confusing the concept of the Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta is for a lot of people.
No, its different universe already. Honkai impact universe himeko already dead, now welt come to this universe with VA to save this universe Himeko from sky people. Read alien space manga.
@@dendifikriyansyah7028 Its not a different universe. That is a mistranslation. It's supposed to be "world". @@dendifikriyansyah7028 it isn’t necessarily separated from planet to planet. It could be solar system to solar system, or galaxy to galaxy. The size of a leaf varies. Also, that’s just how the Imaginary Tree works. The Imaginary Tree is essentially the backbone of the universe that dictates what goes on inside of it. Expy’s are not “alternate universe” versions of a character. They are different iterations of the same person based on the “universal code” that is the Imaginary Tree. So, yes, in the Honkai verse, different versions of you exist throughout the universe. But even though you’re based on the same “code” and May end up having the same name and similar experiences, they are all different people. They might be iterations of you, but they are not your direct clones nor an alternate timeline version of yourself. Hence, “expy”. Also, the reason why Earth is the only place that deals with the Honkai beasts is because the Honkai is a creation of the Cocoon of Finality. Honkai is made from Imaginary energy, and is unique to Earth because that’s where the Cocoon of Finality’s influence is. Now that Star Rail is out, we can theorize that the Cocoon of Finality may be an Emanator of Finality, given that it’s power level is similar to what we know about Emanators. Honkai in the form we see in HI3 is an Earth-specific problem. But since Honkai is made out of Imaginary Energy, Honkai can technically still be made anywhere via an entity with the same power level as the Cocoon of Finality. Monsters that come from the Fragmentum are created from a Stellaron, which in turn is made from Nanook who is an Aeon, and Aeon’s use Imaginary energy, so basically the monsters we fight in Fragmentums are effectively similar to the Honkai we fight in HI3. You can notice that the design of some of the low level Fragmentum monsters (specifically the bird-like one) is similar to a basic enemy in HI3. Even the corpses corrupted by the Fragmentum is a similar concept to the Honkai zombification we see in HI3.
The thumbnail is misleading, for us Arknighters have the mind of stars in our head, and have only the highest of expectations from our game developers. Unlike people who praise hoyo-verse (P.S. this song slaps. 8/10!)

Think it's a banger but I will def agree on it being generic. Think that's kinda the appeal though. It's def not the best thing since sliced bread like a lot of content creators are making it out to be, but it's mainly driven by the initial hype of the game just coming out

Unlike people who praise hoyo-verse
(P.S. this song slaps. 8/10!)
Now now, no in-fighting we're all friends ☺️

Hmn, not related to the vid but is there any guy on there way to uninstall the game like me lol
HSR suffer the same(or even worst than GI) problem: the GRIND(which made me quit GI)
Also, i still dont get the point where it's name is HONKAI star rail when there is no "honkai" in HSR universe and the only connection to it are Welt(i could be wrong but well)
The most generic, unoriginal piece of boss fight music hoyoverse has ever created. I do not get the hype, it literally just the most boring theme ever
Think it's a banger but I will def agree on it being generic. Think that's kinda the appeal though. It's def not the best thing since sliced bread like a lot of content creators are making it out to be, but it's mainly driven by the initial hype of the game just coming out
@@fogheta well i can't appreciate such a nose dive into worse quality, after all the absolute masterpieces they made for genshin.
@@Jev_the_fluorescent_shrimpDang, son. You make it sound like Hoyoverse made a cardinal sin by releasing this track 💀. Although, most of the hype came from how the music synced up to the boss fight.
@@sauce617 well it's disappointing tbh. I really expected something great for the first big fight. I just hope they'll improve later, like, if Luofu storyline ends with another boss fight
I wouldn't say it's THAT bad, damn... I agree it's generic and I actually love the instrumental version of the song that plays during the first phase of the boss fight way more than the full version of wildfire, but it's still fundamentally a great and hype song that works for the moment.
We Honkai fans don't really care if it is Honkai Impact or Honkai Star Rail, we just like Honkai content in general 👌
