That drop at 3:30 and the way it's synced with the boss fight's second phase gives me chills every time I play it. Mihoyo never misses when it comes to their OSTs.
First time I fought Cocolia (I started playing late so I was already using Jing Yuan), I used Jing's ultimate which synced perfectly with the song, and oh my god that gave me CHILLS 😂
To add more info to this comment, when the boss uses the classic "falling meteor" on you the first time (this happens on the second phase), the music transitions from A Trap With No Return to the drop at 3:30 (on this video) of Wildfire. They literally made the drop sync with the... drop.

The company hoyoverse have a dedicated music studio hoyo-mix just to deal with all the OSTs in their games. Thats how you know they are serious about making bangers

they also have their own animation studio mihoyoAnime
And they don't just make the music, they sit down with writers, producers, animators, developers to discuss what exactly is going to be in the scene, animation, battle so they can make the music fit into and a part of it. Many of the lyrics in the songs talk about things going in the game or at least themes(especially ones written by TetraCalyx)
I mean that's not really unique or anything. Lots of game studios have an internal music/sound studio made up of multiple staff. More than one composer and arranger, plus sound people working on SFX and dialogue recording and integration into the game, editing, as well as a director of audio or music. As would be proper, they get concept art and themes from the other teams before working on new music, and on bigger stuff like cutscenes they'll sync up and work on it together.
felt the need to mention this cuz i haven't seen this in the comments, but in the boss fight this comes from, it isn't the boss' theme. its YOURS. it literally represents the player character and their journey so far. so top tier

The Boss literally kills you right before you invoke the power she ignored and get right back up to kick her ass to this banger. She could've been this, but she gave up and Preservation basically askes if you'll hold the line she failed to.

The preservation that matters is the preservation of what it means to be human. Something that Cocolia and Bronya don't understand, but you do, that's why you become the emanator.
Let's be honest, this song literally MAKES the Cocolia boss fight. Definitely one of my favorites of all time

The moment they went from instrumental to his voice in the chorus, timing it for when you're supposed to get the first drop on her ult, is amazing
It's that, mc's new ult, and the epic MECH PUNCH that nail it for me lol
the best part is how the song is used in the game. in the first phase, only the part of the song before the drop is used, and without vocals. in the second phase, this continues at first, but then the boss will summon a massive meteor and throw it at your party, and the drop with vocals hit and it's like the song is telling you to not let a meteor break your spirit.
with a little more context, the boss is actually like, the queen of the last city on the planet who has succumbed to defeatism and believes that humanity has no future, and you're basically in opposition of this and believe that there is a future for the world, which makes the lyrics even more fitting. make a choice, fight against your fate.
The boss fight is you against the former ruler of the world turned into an ice witch with THE flaming lance that was used centuries prior to prevent the city from freezing over.
@@jamesproctor4568And the funny thing is that the lance was actually used by Cocolia herself, just covered in ice. She had basically given up, and even the Amber Lord had given up as well, but our character is once again reigniting the will of Preservation, to once again reignite the will to survive
@@iamrizqi03 I'd have to rewatch the Cocolia cutscenes, but I'm pretty sure she uses a pole arm/spear, and not a lance.

Never would I have though I’d see a reaction to this, but the song is so amazing, especially in the context of the game. The song “A Trap With No Return” plays before it in the multi stage boss, and you can really hear the similarities, it’s awesome.
The fact this was used in the turn based game and it worked perfectly with the Cocolia's boss fight, man, it was synced perfectly. I was pumped up like crazy. A W take off from there. 👏
When you originally dropped the reaction to the Oshi no ko opening originally, I was surprised because I’ve been loving watching it recently, and wondered to myself if you would drop one for wildfire. Didn’t wanna get my hopes up since HSR isn’t too big, but I am so glad blood of mine got you to do this, amazing video!

This music is even better while playing the game! I really hope one day someone will request or you get to react to a Re:Zero OST "Requiem of Silence". Such an amazing piece for the scene it played in. Was left in disbelief and the music was so well done.

Its not only the music and the drop that made the fight chilling, but also the fact that the story of the 1 planet is pretty good for gacha game. Sadly the second planet seems like they swapped the writers for the story, this is sad, its way worse, but i hope they will compensate it in the next patch
I think the second planet suffers from what most stories suffer from when they dump you right in the middle of a disaster, I personally don't mind that approach but I definitely see it as a more difficult method of story telling as there is so much to cover all at once, which leads to confusion
@@RobertGunni my main issue was that in belobog all the characters play thei role in some way(except pela) , on lofu almost everyone exist just to act as guides or something , 0 impact on the story, it would've worked the same without their appearance

To be fair, we're only halfway into the story. Its basically if we stopped the 1st planet in Belabog fight club.
@@XnathOWnot even halfway. We barely scratched end of act 1 of the luofu arc. People that don't understand how storytelling work complaining about it before we even finish set up the conflict is irritating to say the least.

Wierdly enough, I prefer the version that playes in the game. The first half of the song is without lyrics and is snappier? I don't know the details, but it is very different.

There's nothing about heroes in the lyrics as far as I can tell from other videos. The part at the drop goes "We've made a choice, go fight against your fate!"
