Having said that, I have to say that I was reduced to tears by the closing sequence between Nugget & yourself following Nuggets sad adventure. Wow the animals are having a hard time this week Kevin and Rachel lost a baby chicken, Daniel lost Rufus his alpaca and now Nugget has been hurt. I pray that all the rest of the animals will be safe.
Lester is taking one of the baby ostrich over to Daniel this weekend & I’m worried. Someone stole their goat & now murdered Rufus. There is weirdos at work here. I’m from east Texas living in Oklahoma & weirdos abound!

@@lisaquigley-moon9583 I'm sure Ostrich will be fine, she will be at their home, Rufus and the goat was not at their home when the bad stuff happened to them. No one comes on their property and bother anything.

It’s a wonder that the alarm system didn’t sound off when a strange animal attacked Sheriff Nugget I hope you’ve given them their final notice for failing to alert you of the stranger attacking you and the family. I also hope you’ve awarded Sheriff Nugget with a medal of valour for repelling the intruder.
This reminds me of when Nugget jumped the fence at OG Cog Hill because Sour Cream and the geese were gone.
We all need a friend like Nugget who will show up and protect his friends without hesitation.

Definitely. He does not ever have to show us any of that, but he will see if it's something like a raccoon (my suspicion).

"Thinawan" is what emus are called in Aboriginal wiradjuri language they are know as creator spirits they used to be the protectors of the sky when they could fly...now it seems they are protectors of the land and sheriff nuggo is proof of that he takes his job seriously...bless him...may the spirits watch over our nugget till hes feeling better...💙
This is all part of life. Nugget takes his job as Sheriff seriously and is good at it apparently. Glad he is ok. 😄💖😄💖!

But it's certainly ok to let us know when something happens to one of your animals. I'm sure the entire Cog Hill family loves Nugget a lot and cares about him.

I could just cry ! We’re all attached to your pets from afar. Wouldn’t it be nice if you had some sort remote camera that viewed the pastures? Like they have in stores and parking lots. Then you can review it if something happens, like it did to Nugget. I’m so glad it’s not serious.
Fellow emu owner here!! The wonderful thing about these birds is, they heal incredibly fast!! Get better soon Nugget my 3 kids and I adore you!! (Definitely out favorite cog squad animal member!!)

Rose...my wife and I are thinking of getting 2 (baby) Emu's. Videos are usually edited. Are Emu's nice to be around. I know you have to spend quality time with them...sort of like you do with a puppy. But do Emu's tear things up, get bored easily. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. We do have plenty of space for them to run. We're on 517 acres. Thank you in advance. If you don't respond, I do understand...three kids will make a person busy and tired. Again thank you.

Not allow my kids unsupervised with the birds, They can be hormonal and not even mean to hurt someone. They are fence walkers, which means no matter how big of a space they have… they will pace the fence. Give them plenty of room to run and water access , they should be fine! Mine have a large barn but very rarely ever use it! They love rain, snow , even hail 🤦🏻♀️ corralling them into the barn can somewhat be a pain! My biggest piece of advice seeing how you are getting babies, don’t allow your emus on slick surfaces.. they can injury their legs very easily as babies and most of the time it is fatal! Good luck being an emu owner! You will love every minute of it!

I watch every vlog and feel a little like your family and all of the animals on the farm are part of my family. I rejoice over everything good that happens, but don't feel like you need to hide the difficult times. Those happen to us all, and we will gladly pray you through the hard times. So glad Nugget is doing alright. He's such a sweetie.

We all hate that NUG got hurt BUT, we are THANKFUL that you shared it with us, even though you keep the channel a happy place. It is important to be open with us, and we LOVE Y'ALL for that! What surprises me is that Foxy and Bear did not wake y'all up barking and raising a ruckus when Nug was fighting off whatever it was. But then again, it was at the back of the pen. Beautiful farm and a beautiful story. I watch several farm families, and I don't often spend as much time sitting up here at the computer as I used to be able to. Jason there's a difference in negative things happening and you making negative content. You are always positive. But reality is that negative things do happen. Been watching for a few years now. I've only commented once since, but this one really tugged at my heart especially when I was watching you love on him, and showing that fatherly protection, tears started flowing. It reminded me of when my 17 year old doxie was starting to show signs of leaving us for the rainbow bridge two years ago, and how I loved on her, and tried so hard to keep her here, but it wasn't to be. The love, and parental embrace is something that is so normal, even with our animals, whether they are hurt, sick, or going home. Sweet Nugget will be fine, I just know it. He has a family who loves him, and he has us out here who love, and are praying for him to heal. So happy to see he's showing signs of normal activity. I laughed when he pecked at your shoes as usual, that's a good sign. God bless you all. You guys are truly awsome!❤❤
