My friend who has animals has found a trick that helps keep the flies down. She takes a spray bottle and fills it with water and peppermint oil. She then sprays on the animals. Flies do not like the peppermint oil so for the most part they stay away. The only downside is you have to do it once a day.
If you want a treat for Moody and the boys, when you extend the pasture put a very strong post into the ground and thread on those big circular brushes used by road sweepers with brackets above and below to hold them in place. Apparently they make the very best stratching posts for cows.
Stephanie Wilson...... love your idea of a " brush on a pole" for the cows and goats. I also suggested that they take a tree trunk from the woods and sink it 3ft in the ground and they can scratch and rub on that. Scratching post for free! God Bless!

Marycarl is such an old soul. She takes pride in everything she does. I love the way Dad spends time with her. Makes me think of my daughter and her dad. He taught her a lot about nature and she loved it so much she became a master naturalist. She now takes people out on the bayous for photo tours. She is also an amazing photographer. I just love watching your relationship with her.

The flower arrangement that MaryCarl made were beautiful! I actually like wild flowers more than regular flowers, even some weeds have the prettiest flowers. Jasons dance even made Peaches look up from her watermelon. It made me laugh, Peaches looked like she was thinking, "what is he doin?"😅😂🥰

I can't help but love the close up shot of Moody. He is just one oversize, giant size puppy dog. How can anybody not want to just hug on him.
I know that wild geese will aim for 2 to 3 cluches per year....You're going to have to decide what to do if you start doubling or tripling your goose flock every year.

Good morning folks, always an awesome visit with the animals. Love the asmr with Peaches 😆 🐷 Flowers are looking incredible. I grew mammoth sunflowers last year and they turned out to be almost 10 feet tall. We got tons of seeds harvested too. I’ll do it again this year along with corn and pumpkins. Was the the WORM Jason? 😂. Great day, Chad.

I’ve got a hen, who does the same thing. She hatches eggs, then abandons the babies, to go sit on eggs again. She has everything all messed up! She is in the favorite nest. So now, the other hens are laying everywhere! Including on the roost bar! I’ve never seen such a thing. And I’ve had chickens my whole life. She is all kind of messed up! I don’t think she understands the goal

Praying for rain Jason!! I have the same problems with picking the right watermelon and I agree it is very frustrating. Why do you suppose it is hit or miss, what ensures a watermelon is sweet, juicy and crunchy?? Those are my criteria. I have the same problem with oranges!!! Have a great day Jason😋

I see some ?cow (big) pies in the pen, the pallet based compost station, and the pile of bedding in this video whichngit my curiosity going. In one of the upcoming videos will you review what you are doing, show us how your compost station is working for you, talk about how your system is working in the summer heat, and remind us where/ how you're using your proceeds? Maybe a couple of weeks from now when we're all in the full heat of summer?

He was a Semi driver and he would come home and say let’s move here, let’s move there. He was only 54 when he passed away from issues of Diabetes and Congestive Heart failure. He was a Good man and a Great Father. We were together for 35 years and it seems like the last year and a half we got even closer. We prayed he would just go to sleep and not wake up. That’s exactly what happened. The last 8 hours of his life we sang and laughed and reminded one another how much we had been through. I thought he was taking a nap but he never woke up. 😔

Jason, When I was growing up on our dairy farm in Vermont, my all-black Holstein bull calf turned into a steer, and loved to have some apples...he was a bottle-fed calf so we bonded with him before, during, and after his feedings...when he was weaned we introduced him to sliced apples and grain and he ate that combo right up until freezer camp...Cheers from Maine.
I wish Marycarl would start her own channel...with her knowledge of all feathered animals and her love for flowers...even if she only posted once a week, I bet she would have a huge following, I'd be one for sure! Start a college fund with that...Great video, loved the babies, and of course all the regulars...Peaches tore into that watermelon like a pro!

I have a goose sitting on a clutch of 2 eggs. We did put q few in the incubator incase the ones outside dont hatch. lol We do have chick going too! lol should be interesting
Y'all need to make a road trip to Sikeston, Missouri and pick up a dozen or so watermelons and cantaloupes. They have the best I've ever had, When I lived in west Tennessee, we'd go there, every summer and load up. You can find somebody selling them fresh out of the field. And while you're there, you can eat at Lambert's Restaurant, home of the throwed rolls.

Sour Cream is under the impression there’s not enough goslings within the flock to carry on their lines and is doing something about it lol 🐣🐣🐣
