I was about a month away from jaw surgery(i have a class 3 underbite) until a new dr came approach me and said that i dont actually need the surgery.I trust her and ditch my surgery plan...its worth it😊😊
I'm in my last year in dental school in Canada. There are two types of Classes/categories when it comes to orthodontics: 1) dental classification and 2) the skeletal classification. This patient was only able to receive this type of treatment for his Class III malocclusion (a.k.a. underbite) because his skeletal bones are not Class III, it was much closer to a class I ("normal" profile). The issue is with the dental Class III, which means his teeth are in class III position. In other words, his bones are in the right place but his teeth were not. Therefore, it was just being able to move so many teeth in a non-traumatic way to bring the teeth back to where they should be. No doubt, a lot of complexity goes into this type of treatment. In cases like these, I would highly recommend treatment through an orthodontist as opposed to a general practitioner. The reality is that most people who have a Class III malocclusion tend to have the skeletal Class III type, and for that you will require oral surgery, there is no other way around it. I thought I would post this so that people are properly informed. Thanks.
Jason, what about the M.E.A.W. technique? Does this correct skeletal Class III malocclusions? Used in conjunction with reverse headgear, I thought that one could avoid orthognathic surgery? Please correct me if I am wrong.
Good point. Often, people are now try to not do surgery and opt out for M.E.A.U.W. or just stopping at braces. If it’s Class 3 with skeletal issues it’s best to get the surgery. I am getting the surgery.

To answer your question, the way you wear your braces is quite simple. If it's your top jaw with the tooth sticking out, the orthodontists will put on braces on that part, and the bottom as well depends on who you go to. And wearing them, well look at brace pictures. With braces you don't put them on, and if it's necessary, they will give you bands. Hope that answers your question(;
Only if it's needed to make space. I had four pulled out when I was twelve. The reason for it is because if you have a small like mouth and the teeth needed to be pulled aren't out, it'll cause your teeth to go forward slowly and you don't want that to happen. But that's if it's necessary, everyone's mouth is different. They will also extract the teeth from both sides of your mouth which means top and bottom.
And also remember, these bands are required for you to wear everyday. That means day and night, and put them on before you go to sleep. The only time it is ok to take them off is when you're eating, about to brush your teeth, or sports. The bands will come in a small bag, with enough to last you awhile. The surgery part is optional though. You can get it if you want, but it will cost you. The only time it isn't optional is if your doctor is requiring you to do it. Hope this helps(:
The other option you have is getting braces and bands too. The bands will place your bite into a normal position, depending on how simple or bad it is.

Ok this is how it works. Closing your under bite, over bite, or open bite requires braces. Over time you'll have those braces and they will straighten out your teeth in the correct position they were supposed to be in. Then when it's time, your orthodontist will give you rubber bands. The bands will permanently correct whatever is wrong. And on your braces on both sides of the mouth are three hooks. One of top, two on the bottom. Your doctor will teach you how to put them on.

However, I still do not give up and am looking for non-surgical (non veneer) treatment. Are you able to help me? I can send you my x-ray if you need it. Thanks
if your issue is skeletal and you’re over 17 or 18, it’s very likely surgery is the only option. if it’s dental, then there are other treatment options. it’s pretty cut and dry, because no treatments like braces or headgear etc work long term to treat an underlying skeletal issue, since this is a malformation of your bones rather than just misalignment of the teeth.
May I know the doctors who made this possible? I have the same case, class 3 Malocclusions.. I want to know where is the clinic in taiwan? I'm from the Philippines...
deep bite (upper arch teeth overlapped on lower arch teeth). 2 teeth from the upper arch extracted, felt sorry about them, but now I am pretty happy with the results. I can send you some pictures so that you can see some results. I have no idea how we can communicate. Btw, can we talk in Romanian language? :) Pa pa! :p
When one has a poorly formed bite, clearly the jaw is not working efficiently. This can lead to unnecessary wear and tear of your teeth. As you visit an orthodontist, he will most likely focus on correcting your facial structure to make you look great once again.
oh and if there is a site where we can discuss this case, id be glad if you share some link. I would like to know if my treatment plans are right. I can show you my model cast and discuss it with you Dr.. :)
Hello, I have a question, lets say i went to a orthodontics to fix my teeth. Is it my job to say or his to use his experience to fix my teeth as best as he can? Next question what if he fixed my teeth and at the end of removing my braces i noticed that i look like i have a crossbite what do i do????
If a person has underbite problems, he is still 14 years old and the distance between the upper teeth and the lower teeth is far. The problem is the same as in the previous doctor's video. My question is, can it still be fix without surgery or tooth extraction? Thank you for replying😊
I apologize for insisting, but in which moment did you need the class II elastics? Because I carefully checked and the molar/canine relationship was III class. Also, you always insisted in controlling the mandibular dentition, not advancing the maxillar one (except for the use of class III elastics). Could you please, if I am not asking too much, reveal the values from the cephalometric analysis? Also, I believe you used criss-cross elastics, why not, lets say, quad helix? Thank you very much!
Luckily they able to fix the open bite problem. Here in philippines my dentist put braces on my teeth for 15 months but nothings change 😑😑. Im getting upset whenever i visit his clinic because nothings change and im losing my money.
I have an underbite, and midline shift. I get braces in two weeks (don’t need jaw surgery) and I get fitted for braces tomorrow 😁😬😳 any tips y’all can help me with for braces ??!
I might be totally mistaken, but how do you advance the maxilla without an exterior anchorage (like the Delaire)? Because the problem might also be sagittal deficiency of maxilla, while the lower jaw is within normal values (in a hypothetical case, not this one). How do you benefit from mini-screws in this case? Please reply! Thank you in advance!

Marvelous treatment. Please, send us the final panoramic rx to see the radicular parallelism and its behavior.

Why did you take the button on lingual of T33,35 after 9th month?
Thanks for your shares
Just wish I had change to go and have a treatment for my under bite problem. In Finland doctors does not treat that way.
How do they treat it in Finland? I am curious
@@fsc2198 With the help of jaw surgery. Of course, braces are used before the jaw surgery. Last October surgical treatment were denied from me last October. At the moment public health care do not treat me of my open class lll bite problem. I do not have the money to pay a from my small pension to private dentists/doctors /practices. In Finland, it is not possible to raise funds even for important health care, because the taxman prevents it. I wish I would be in country where one can raise founds for important health care.

Hi there, I am 25 yo and I have underbite problem. I was already told by 2 orthodontists that surgery is the only way because it is my mandibular bone that moves forward. However, I still do not give up and am looking for non-surgical (non veneer) treatment. Are you able to help me? I can send you my x-ray if you need it. Thanks
update please
if your issue is skeletal and you’re over 17 or 18, it’s very likely surgery is the only option. if it’s dental, then there are other treatment options. it’s pretty cut and dry, because no treatments like braces or headgear etc work long term to treat an underlying skeletal issue, since this is a malformation of your bones rather than just misalignment of the teeth.
May I know the doctors who made this possible? I have the same case, class 3 Malocclusions.. I want to know where is the clinic in taiwan? I'm from the Philippines...
you did a great work Dr.....and congratulations also to your patient....his cooperation was great !
Superb..God bless👌👌
I m 30 yes old and same problem but dont want to have surgery. Is it possible without surgery
deep bite (upper arch teeth overlapped on lower arch teeth). 2 teeth from the upper arch extracted, felt sorry about them, but now I am pretty happy with the results. I can send you some pictures so that you can see some results. I have no idea how we can communicate. Btw, can we talk in Romanian language? :) Pa pa! :p
Those elastic bands pulling thing work only if your are age is less than 12 coz after that you reach the Mac growth of your jaw
When one has a poorly formed bite, clearly the jaw is not working efficiently. This can lead to unnecessary wear and tear of your teeth. As you visit an orthodontist, he will most likely focus on correcting your facial structure to make you look great once again.
We have found biggest troller troll face goes undercover
Did he have to get any teeth removed? If not, was his wisdom teeth already extracted?
This patient didn't want to remove to any teeth, so we didn't.
If only this technology could work in Britain
I wish to tell us treatment plan in details
Это просто волшебство , не доктора , а боги!
😹
oh and if there is a site where we can discuss this case, id be glad if you share some link. I would like to know if my treatment plans are right. I can show you my model cast and discuss it with you Dr.. :)
that's all the doctor told me before...But, i did it.. ^^ Enjoy!
And what happened after 2 years?
Nice music..sounds like Argentinian/Chilean folklore
Hello, I have a question, lets say i went to a orthodontics to fix my teeth. Is it my job to say or his to use his experience to fix my teeth as best as he can?
Next question what if he fixed my teeth and at the end of removing my braces i noticed that i look like i have a crossbite what do i do????
Kerlan Daisley Please go to your dentist and have some suggestions. Thank you.
If a person has underbite problems, he is still 14 years old and the distance between the upper teeth and the lower teeth is far. The problem is the same as in the previous doctor's video. My question is, can it still be fix without surgery or tooth extraction? Thank you for replying😊
Um no
After treatment, This case relape ?? i want to know for preventing relape case.
+phikul singburi So far so good! Please follow the doctor's order. Thank you!
How you are doing now?
Amaaazing work🎉🎉
What country are they from? And how much will the surgery cost?
not surgery, braces. They used othodontic-grade rubber bands and braces to correct the problem
I have an underbite, and midline shift. I get braces in two weeks (don’t need jaw surgery) and I get fitted for braces tomorrow 😁😬😳 any tips y’all can help me with for braces ??!
Enjoy it! Good luck! Thank you!
Nice work, i probably had made 2 extrations!
Try mewing!
dear chris chang tell me i have jaw underbite problem without surgery is possible my treatment
Dr, havs you already started the treatment installing the miniscrews and already pulling the teeth on the begining??? awesome case.
