Matt Miller (ESPN) On Saints Drafting Taliese Fuaga
You could make the argument that no team had a more clearly defined need than the Saints’ hole at offensive tackle. Trevor Penning (2022 first-rounder) hasn’t hit, and the injuries to veteran Ryan Ramczyk make his future a question mark. Fuaga’s power at right tackle and agility in zone-blocking schemes made him a lock to be selected in the top 15. The value, fit and need are all aligned here.
Matt Miller (ESPN) On Saints Drafting Spencer Rattler
If the Saints had drafted Rattler in the third round, the pick still would have made my list. Stealing him in the fifth round gets an even higher ranking. Rattler’s toughness as he battled adversity at Oklahoma and South Carolina impressed me. He has a big arm and good mobility, and he is fearless in the pocket. He can be developed, potentially as a future starter.
Matt Miller (ESPN) On Saints Drafting Kool-Aid McKinstry
Marshon Lattimore has been among the league’s best cornerbacks since he was drafted in 2017, but his peak years may be behind him. Lattimore can mentor McKinstry to take his role as CB1 on the depth chart. The right foot Jones fracture that caused McKinstry to drop has to be watched, but scouts raved about his football sense and instincts in the pre-draft process.

Klint Kubiak On Offensive Philosophy
We just want to be grounded and run the football. We want to have an identify of ‘We can run the football against 8-man fronts.’ That’s something we’re going to stress to guys early this offseason. Building our play actions, moving the pocket off of that, being a real good team on first and second down. We’re dialed in on that in Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Heiner and Rattler are both quality prospects. I'm excited about the competition and honestly, I hope we can keep both of them around somehow.
I hope that the addition of Kubiak will take a lot of of DA's plate, allowing DA to be the defensive force that he is when focused. Would love to see the D return to prominence.
I think Saints are gonna ball this year. If Klint gets the offense up and running and defense stays as good as it's been, we'll definitely have a season to remember. The addition of Willie Gay, Chase Young, and Taliese Fuaga got me excited! 3 potential super stars mixed with all the talent already there is insane!
Besides the really nice pickups we got the best thing about our draft was not giving up any future assets. Holding on to next year's picks was as huge as our first round selection imo
I agree, it allows us to continue improving the team and getting younger
This lets me know that we are truly looking to get better in the future!!
Jason Kelce on his podcast was absolutely gushing about fuaga saying he saw absolutely everything he would want to see from a offensive lineman when watching his tape. And if Kelce sees that then I know we got ourselves a monster in fuaga
Hopeful about our Offense
Kool-Aid Oh Yeah 🖤⚜️👍 Who DAT 💥
I'm excited as hell! Saint's will be double digit team!
I'm so damn ready for this season

Trace, eat the worm at the bottom of the Tequila bottle 🍾. Rattler was a steal. Imagine, 2 Senior Bowl MVPs on the team
Hopefull I like Clint and I think he is one of the newest offensive minds in the business and hopefully he can get the best out of Carr and our offense! We desperately need to run the ball to set up the pass and this new offense should get the job done! Bub Means has all of the qualities to take MT place amongst the receivers and hopefully he can stay healthy! I also like the big run stopper we got he is a huge guy that can road block the middle of the line! Let's hope DA gets back to running the defense and stays away from the offense! DA as a head coach still has a bunch of questions for me! As far Rattler I like him as well and I can't wait for the rookie quarterbacks to duel it out in preseason it should be interesting to watch! I can't wait to see this new offense on the field!
Jh for now but who knows in time. I honestly believe one of those guys will finally replace Drew not just feel in. I also believe we will have alot better season than people think. 12-5 maybe 11-6 but we will be top of are division. Go saints... Who dat!!!

If 3 our picks this yr work out as good starters and we have a great 2025 draft, then We'll be truly competitive
JH
I have high hopes for this season. I think we could add some pieces, but I feel like we should at least win the division
I like JH but I think SR probably gonna win QB2 but we will see should be fun
Let's go!
PICK A QB2! Type ‘JH’ for Jake Haener or ‘SR’ for Spencer Rattler
Sr
What do you think about the Saints offense in 2024?
Jake will be the second string this year
Better than Nathan Peterman
SR hands down
Have fun in Mexico. Have some more Margaritas
Trizzy did you see Colin Cowherd predicted the saints to finish last in the division.
Falcons
Bucks
Panthers
Saints
That's how he ranked it. Guy said he doesn't like what new Orleans is doing... So what has Carolina done that will make up for the 8 games we won more than them last season. Colin Cowherd you tripping my guy
I still believe in Heiner. I'll continue to believe in him until he shows me I shouldn't.
Haner long term will be Saint's #2. If I'm wrong, I'd like to flip flop that please? 😂
Does anyone else think penning would atleast be a d+ guard vs a total failure tackle ? Or am I crazy I think it's definitely a move we could see happen towards getting ramz back and trying to keep fuaga on the field
Still don’t like the Kool aid pick when there were receivers that we needed more
I love the Kool-Aid pick, because it adds valuable depth at the position. Lattimore always misses 8 games a year
Plus i think kool aid turns into our 2 maybe one soon 😮💨
Which QB is a better fit for the Kubiak offense? haener or rattler?
Probably Rattler
Sr
SR. I really wish we had a more experienced backup (hadn't gotten rid of Winston, for example). I don't trust the health of any starting QB until our O-line is fixed, especially with Penning at LT. I'm still thinking that we need three first day new starters on the O-line and so far we have one, until the other two are found, I don't trust our like to keep the QB healthy, no matter how willing (perhaps too willing) Carr is to play injured when he's clearly not 100%.
Yes, there is reason to be excited about this years draft class and hopefully we can see at least 3 or 4 players make an impact in it right away. The New Orleans Saints are a sleeper team this year, they were picked by many to win the South last year. One thing I have learned about this team over the many years is that if you set the bar high with this team that they will let you down but if have no expectations and kind of look the other way then they will surprise you. Also, yes it’s nice to see the Saints get some praise but not from everyone. There is a video out there from which Colin Cowherd picks the Saints to finish last in the NFC South. What’s up with that nonsense? 🤣
Wait I thought DA and Loomis are horrible and must go. What happened to that?!
Sign justin simmons 🎉🎉🎉
I REALLY do not understand the Jake Haener hatred. They say well he didnt play good in the preseason. AND?!?! Did anyone expect him to play like a 6 year vet out the gate? Did anyone think he was taking Carr's spot by the end of the year?
He’s just mid, 1:3 td to int in three games
@@Nooneagrees three preseason games. Thats my point. People trying to get rid of him for nothing
I think that the Saints had a really good draft this year between offense and defense. I think we had a pretty good role at the dice. Now here’s the thing that bothers me the rookie quarterback, When everything imploded for him at OU he switches gears and goes to South Carolina where arguably is a weaker division and he really wasn’t a stand out player as South Carolina. In the pocket, yeah he’s he’s got a good arm. No question about it out of the pocket he’s slow he can’t throw on the run and he makes poor choices. Do I think we wasted some money drafting a quarterback only time will tell I’m not too hot and skip and Jolly over this decision because this kid reminds me of an aging slow on the run Teddy Bridgewater.
SR
I’m going to laugh when Lattimore shows all these trade Lattimore fans and media that he is very much the player they got when he was a rookie.
Keep fuaga at RT don't get fancy leave him where he's best at. Rotate Kool aid. Let Rattler sit and learn at least a year.
He can play anywhere too
@@lfy24964 no doubt he can but why
Make Trevor block his ex team mate that was drafted
Why aren't you in Mexico Trace?
S.R.
Rattler played against tougher competition.
sr
Sign Jamal Adams I wanna see a reunion with tyrainn now Jamal and tyrainn that could be one of the dangerous safety tandom be put together in new Orleans make it happen who that nation
I can see Rattler coming in hot like Purdy maybe not this year, but whenever his number is called
I hope this new Oc have balls run his own team and not Carr let best player play period no favorites
Sorry Rattler does not impress me one bit. I agree we needed a offensive lineman for sure. I just believe Dennis Allen cant coach and no matter who they draft it wont make a difference!
A hundred million dollars Carr and can't run to extinct a play is pitiful, his money's should be cut down to eighth dollars, a new quarter black a chance to
Meh. No QB, worst NFC division, best case they'll be 9-8
Spencer Rattler will not be a franchise QB. Sorry family.
