I could live in that AB&B rest of my life!!! I love CZ and Hungary, and Romania is next on my list...just beautiful! PS Hope you feel better Dan...getting those out is best thing you will ever do!
If you want scary and stuff like that, the castle of corvins is the place you want to go to. Its located in Hunedoara. That thing is truly scary no matter what time of the year you visit it in. Torture chambers, scary tomb like places, dungeons and all of that, lots of towers. Muuuch much better if thats what you’re looking for 😂
@@Zdamaneta that thing is always being renovated 🤣🤣Nothing new there. Ever since I was a kid, there hasn’t been a single time I’ve visited when something wasn’t being renovated
They're here for a scare not a heart attack, I've been there, the things I've seen and now gave me food for thought like this"hm, wtf were Romanians doing to people back then"?
I have seen a tone of RUclips materials about România. Your video is the best: elegant images, very nice attitude, good lines. (A little more historical resarch would be nice...).
Please tell me, you didn't miss the Peles castle, while you were there... I've been to Brasov and Bran about 15 years ago, and I have to say they look so much better now. It was nice to reminisce. Thanks so much!
Amazing! Amazing!! Amazing!!! Video did not disappoint, as usual. The Castle looked not quite as expected but I do think I'd like to visit that one. Hopefully Dan's tonsils settled. Here in Aus they are conservative about tonsils too. I believe it's now more of an age/ an adult thing. It's much more dangerous, for want of a better word , to remove them once you are an adult, I was told. I missed out as a kid & spent years getting sick. Mine have settled thankfully for a few years now but I know the pain very well. Looking forward to the next video!
I honestly hope you enjoyed it here in the mountains in Brașov, you should come back in the winter time to see the real beauty! Great energy the both of you💪
I'm watching this video a bit later than when it got posted but my oh my! What beautiful views in Romania! Loved the castle and I especially loved the glimpse into the grocery store! Who knew so many vegan options were available! Dan, I hope you feel better soon and I'm glad you got an appointment to get your tonsils removed! Looking forward to the next part! Travel safe, friends!
@Oskar and Dan I discovered your channel while I was documenting our family trip to Thailand, and since then you've been in my RUclips search because I think you are so nice and I find your videos very relaxing. I appreciate that you replied to my comment, and because of that I'll subscribe to your channel. My husband and I also started a RUclips channel called 'Jolene and Us' and I would truly appreciate recommending us in one of your vlogs because we are at the beginning and have no idea how to promote ourselves. If you are still in Brasov and want to meet and show you some hidden gems to visit or to taste the best food in town (in my opinion), I'll wait to hear from you.
Loved the video guys. I am switching to more of a vegan lifestyle. Hope you both survived your wounds. Much love from Pennsylvania in the United States.❤️
So glad you are going to get out the tonsils, Dan. They are literally poison. Take care guys and stay safe. Always enjoy your videos. Ken and Janice from Alabama
Vegan options exist because there are a lot of strict Orthodox Christians who follow the fasting rules... It can get up to 180-200 days of fasting per year for the hardcore ones.
Oh no fellas! That place is cursed lol Hope you are feeling better Dan and hope both of your injuries are better as well. Stay safe and healthy fellas !
Yeah, we are not a touristy country to be honest. We are among the least visited countries in Europe I think but not because it's not safe, it's just that there's no interest by the government to invest in tourism or to promote the country. Being a touristy country has its pros but cons as well.
If you do go to New York you should go to fire Island. The Pines or, the Grove. I prefer the Grove. Obviously you should go in the summer, and I know this summer is basically over. However there’s always next year.
Hey guys, could you make a couple of videos on some tips/ hackswhile booking flights, hotels, Airbnbs etc and also while using public transport in various countries or regions in the world
Romania is heavily religious, in Orthodox Christianity you have a lot of periods of "fasting" where you cannot eat meat. That explains a lot of the vegan options.
The reason why we have spany vegan options is because, traditionally, for a few months a year we need to fast. By fasting I mean we have to completely eliminate any animal product - so basically go vegan.
We have the real deals that's why, other countries mostly purchase all the stuff from Romania. Agriculture in this country literally is insane, 2nd next to China in terms of how good it is, bakeries pretty much rock the world here
Few corrections..Bran castle is NOT in Transylvania but just across the border in Wallachia.and Vlad the Impaler never set foot in Bran castle ,at most maybe he just passed by it
Wrong: Bran Castle is in Transylvania not Wallachia, it was built by german settlers based on a special approval signed by KIng Ludwig I (1342-1382) on 17 November 1377.. The name of the village is Bran in Romanian or Törzburg in German. Bran has nothing to do with Walachia, even today the border between Transilvania and Walachia is south of Bran. Also Bran is located in Brasov County BV, not in Arges County AG.. Brasov is Transilvania, Arges is Walachia. Further south from Bran is Campulung , which is in Walachia AG, even its name was once Langnau which means large field in german, and Campulung/Lagnau was also fortified by german Saxons from Transylvania BV. Partially right: Vlad the Impaler never lived in Bran castle but for sure he set foot there as he use to travel very often to visit his saxon love from Brasov/Kronnstadt, Katharina... It was impossible not to stop in Bran/Törzburg when you travel from Targoviste to Brasov. In medieval times the traffic between Transylvania and Wallachia was organized through Ruker-Bran Valey not through Prahova Valey as it is today. So probably Dracula used to stop to Bran after the border to refuel its horses and to drink a coffee.
Whenever places with interesting stories, they intend to take advantage to have it as a tourist attraction. However, it somewhat loosen its authenticity or worse become too commerialized. Get well soon, Dan and still enjoy your adventures!!
You must visit the palace of the parliament and i wish you were not vegan.. Micii is a must try !! However, there are restaurants in old town bucharest which serves SARMALE usually are stuffed with meat BUT the old restaurant have the Vegan option MUST TRY.
The supermarket, Kaufland, is German and vegan options are abundant in supermarkets here. I suppose they are exporting the offers to Romania. Brasov is on my list- cool video 😄
Kaufland is indeed German, and Romania is its third largest market after Germany itself and Poland, but many products are sourced locally, there aren't so many german products in Kaufland Romania with the exception of the Kaufland's own brand and the Bio products...but for Bio&Vegan options is one of the best in Romania.
Transylvania was up until 1918, part of the Kingdom of Hungary, the Hapsburg empire and the Austro-Hungarian empire, also many colonists came from the German states to settle, they are the ones that built the city of Brașov (Kronstadt in German).
Transylvania=an historic Romanian province same like Banat or Moldova or Dobrogea, there is no”Transylvania and Romania” Bran castle has been transformed into Dracula’s castle for tourism only :) “Vlad-the emperor” never actually lived there, you should visit Maramures and the Danube Delta(at least) to have a clue about Romania, ask your friend Cristi 👍 , for cities try Cluj+Iasi+Timisoara (biggest university centers along Bucharest - there are internal flights from Bucharest few times/day ), for castles try Corvin and Peles (a real former Royal residence)😉
THANK YOU GUYS FOR COMING ALONG❤🧛🏻♂ How do we feel about the castle visit?😂🤔
