*** What is ASMR? It’s that tingly sensation that some people get in the back of the scalp, sometimes going down your spine and other parts of the body. It is pleasurable and relaxing. The purpose of ASMR videos is to trigger these tingles by recreating real life based situations that would normally be triggering, or by simply playing with sounds and visuals that work just as well. There's a lot more to that pleasurable physical feeling though. Most ASMR videos provide personal attention and make the viewer feel cared for and safe. I like to believe this feeling called ASMR is a primal body response to the feeling of being safe and loved. ASMR may not only help you relax and sleep, but it can also help you find comfort and can be a powerful tool to be more mindful and deal with stress better. A shortcut to meditation.
***Que es el ASMR? Es una sensación de cosquilleo que algunos sentimos en la parte trasera del cuero cabelludo; a veces deslizándose por la columna vertebral hacia otras partes del cuerpo. El objetivo de los videos ASMR es detonar este cosquilleo recreando situaciones basadas en la vida real (que naturalmente generarían esa sensación), o por medio de sonidos y efectos visuales. Estos videos representan mucho más que un método para detonarlo. Muchos ofrecen una ficticia atención personal con el objetivo de hacer sentir al observador cuidado y seguro. En mi opinión, esta respuesta fisiológica que llamamos ASMR, no es más que una reacción primordial del cuerpo ante situaciones de seguridad y afecto. El ASMR no solo sirve para relajarse y poder conciliar el sueño, sino que también puede brindar consuelo y puede ser utilizado como una herramienta para combatir el estrés. Una forma sencilla de meditar.

Sometimes if the language isn’t understood the words can trigger more tingles because we don’t think about the meaning, we just enjoy the experience 😄 I watch ASMR in foreign languages often. Chinese has a lot of soft sounds that cause maximum tingles.

I find spanish so much better for asmr videos than english, but that's because I hate lipsmacking.
I like it better because with English I have to focus on the words and I can't just relax. I don't understand much Spanish so I can just listen to the sounds.

I don't know if you've done it before but if you want to use both languages, why not do a teacher role play whether it be teaching English to Spanish speakers or vice versa? Could go both ways. Me gustan los videos en Español. Espero que usted haga más como éstos. Gracias!

+Deluca ASMR it usually depends on how I'm feeling, but I do rather enjoy being able to just listen to how you enunciate your words, rather than on the meaning of what you are saying. Also, you in particular have a very nice voice to listen to, regardless of what language you happen to be using. :)
It's so weird, I speak a (little) bit of spanish so I can understand certain sentences and then other times I have no clue what you're saying :p Not that it matters since your voice alone seems to be a huge trigger for me! Thanks for the lovely video again ^^
same. I have to pay close attention to understand full sentences at all, and then I'm still unsure a lot. everything seems to run together, except random words that jump out. language is an interesting thing.

Normally, I have a very hard time figuring out what language someone is speaking if it isn't English, as my brain differs between different languages depending on what you're saying (example: if you're speaking Spanish, you may say something that sounds like Japanese to me(I don't speak either language but my step sister watches a lot of anime, so I pick up on a few things)) but you speak so clearly and fluently that I rarely get confused and it's so nice, it helps me relax so much more❤️❤️

Casi no miro asmrstist varones porque la voz "me da calor" (lol, eso suena mal). Es que siento que las voces demasiado graves me hacen sentir en un espacio pequeño donde solo quepo yo, de ahí proviene esa sensación acalorada/de aplastamiento.

Every time I think I'm pretty decent at Spanish, I'm always put right back into my place whenever I try to understand a native speaker. I can only understand half of it if I'm lucky.

I have experienced ASMR since I was a little kid, but I did not know it was something other people felt, too... Long ago I had tried a couple times to explain it to others and they thought I was crazy, so for a while I thought this "weird thing" only happened to me. The closer description I ever got was from my partner, saying that I am "like a cat", as I do experience ASMR when he plays with my hair. Deluca: THANK YOU for making this, I really enjoyed it! Hugs!
