Sick Week 2023 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive is at an end. What a huge week as the world's quickest street cars drove the highways of Florida and competed with all their hearts in the Super Bowl of drag-and-drive. Michael Westberg's amazing win is the stuff of drag racing legend. There's so much to say, but we will just have to let the video do the talking.
Dude, the Swedes killed it! A HUGE THANK YOU, to you, Tom! The livestream all week made my whole work week go better.
Congrats to the Swedes. Let all send some love to the Nivlac57 YT channel. That crash was terrible. Glad he's gonna pull through.
Yeah they pushed at 4200 about as hard as they could with those stock rods one of the rods must’ve gone through the block or the pan and oil down the track and got under the rear tires that was scary especially because the fathers no spring chicken
@@edmahonejr.9364 Which is crazy to me because the engine in their Z is making more power.
Great channel, so sad to see this project wrecked!
@@SubSonicSubaru I agree. Went from junkyard to Sick Week in 4&1/2 months. And I actually thought it was pretty cool looking.
Does the driver of this truck have a youtube? maybe we can go support that
What a great event. Thank you Tom for the live stream an was great to watch all week.
Gongrats to the Swedish teams, they are a force to be reckoned with.
I watched all week, on a bunch of channels, and the biggest takeaway is that these people are really supportive of each other, but on the strip they are serious.
Great week coverage Bailey team. Swedes making it look easy on our soil. That s10 is a rocket. Love that these boys rebuilt the th400 in the hotel lot via u tube vid. That’s hot roddin.
I forgot all about the rebuild. Dudes were killing it a week.
Seeing the swedish sponsors of the S10, C4 and 245 makes me smile.
Yes! I noticed "Ölands grävtjänst" (among others) at rear window on the 245. Fun to see, and probably very exotic for the people in US...😉 " - What is THAT??"😁
That Swedish Corvette reminds me of the nineties pro mods. So nasty on the launch and bucking like Broncos the whole way down the rest of the track
Sweden 🏆🇸🇪 Thanks Tom for all live races. Just amazing ❤️
What a great week of racing with all my favorites. Congrats to the Swedes and all the winners of their classes !
Thanks to Tom Bailey and the sponsors for putting on a great event.
You provided the best footage ever along with live streams. I enjoyed the hell outta all of it. Thanks for all you did, and continue to do!
Congratulations to Ace engines and the Swedes for your win
Thank you to Tom and his whole team for this. Footage and event was great.
6:36 Dennis is always working - always tuning! He's my influencer of the year! 21:47
Congrats Swedes! They brought it. Tom, thanks for a great Sick Week production!!
Swedes showed us Mericans how its done!
eeh you mistyped a r instead of x.
@@teknoaija1762 Well America pretty much is a part of Mexico now, so same thing.. lol
@@JonHop1 you got my hint ok!
To finish first, one must first finish.
The Swedes have their sh*t together in that regard, they seem to always be in a position to compete for the win at the end.
Congratulations to Michael, he ran strong all week, well deserved win.
that was an awesome week to watch and follow, thanks everyone!!!
"it feels so good and then it doesn't" bahahaha what a quote. sick event thanks tom, the staff and the racers! cant wait til next year!
The sound of the Vette ripping off the line sound like a wild banshee!
Swedweek 2023! 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
GREAT editing BTW. I love how you show the bad runs, then immediately show the good runs. such a cool effect. great job!
Thank you Tom, and Motion Raceworks for the live streams. This was awesome to watch
Such a bummer to see your car "get Issues" while you were leading the pack... Thanks for all the coverage of Sick Week, and best of Fortunes next year!
Helluva week Tom! To bad about the break, but 2.0 will be back faster I'll bet. Thanks for the FREE livestreams, great quality and great setup overall.🤘
Congratulations to all who attended. 👏👏👏
Congrats to all the participants and winners. Spent many hours watching the live stream all week.
Another GREAT event Tom, Congratulations!!
Thank you to both you and Motion Raceworks for the live streams all week.
If I could, and i am sure that I am not the first to suggest this. Pick a certain et and mandate that either a diaper or belly pans be employed. While obviously that won't totally solve oil downs, I think that it would help save quite a bit of time and keep the racing moving along better.
They already mandate diaper/belly pans. And they already have classes for picking a certain et. (Dial Your Own, Pro DYO, And a Bullseye Challenge)
From the rules for 2023 - All vehicles with an e.t. of 9.99 or less should have a fluid containment system (either a diaper or fluid containment pan) while on the race track.
@@aSinisterKiid obviously I have not taken the time to look into the rule book. Thank you!!
Appreciated the Event, the Videos and the Livestream. Thank You.
Sick week was Awesome! Thanks Tom Bailey!
Tom, Thank You for taking all the time and all the effort to put on such a race. Just wished you guys could have started this about 10 years sooner. I really love to follow some of the cars shown on the videos. Thanks Again.
Hey i saw the Vice grip garage passing in the back around at 3:18 lol. Derek was in the vanishing paint charger.
Congrats Alex.
Great video showing the end of a great week ! Many thanks.
Great coverage! Gotta applaud thinking outside the box: "Haulin' Ash" 😜
Just want to say big Thank You Guy's for the content this week ,to be able to watch this in the Nederlands is Great thanks 🤙
I was stuck in the hospital for five weeks so I am now catching up on all the Sick Week action.
What a great week
Thank you for the livestream while allowing many of us to live vicariously through all of you.
Great job to the entire Crew for pulling this event off and making it even better that last year
Congratulations to all of the winners. Its been great to watch this all week. One of, if not the best Drag N Drives.
9:15 - someone just cruises past with an Australian VH Charger on a trailer !!! Where was that on the live streams???
Thanks Tom. I had a great time
The S10 is a beast.
Do y’all have a video for us first timers kind of breaking down the rules n classes for the drag n drives?
It’s best to go to each event as the classes and the rules of each class can vary from event to event. You might run one class at RMRW or Mid West drags and it’s called something else or a different class at drag week or sick week. That being said there is almost always a class for everyone. The basics are, car must be registered and insured, only you and your copilot can work on the car, you must follow the route and drive to each track with no support (you carry what you can in your car or a single axel trailer) and they typically use NHRA certification rules.
Ok cool! Do you have to be NHRA certified? Also can the co-pilot share in on the racing or is the “driver” the only one who can race the car?
U kick ass thanks for not kicking my ass.
Thanks for excellent streams Tom!
Holy sheep dip...'Haulin' Ash' center seat riding daughter is huge now!!! Sadly, we all ain't gettin' any younger. GREAT JOB on S.W.'23, HIGHLY entertaining
The driveshafts left the building this week, congratulations on a good event
Congrats everyone! So much great content!!
Foreigners taking first & second place on a very North American event & sport. You gotta love it xD
Great work Tom.. In Fact it was a SICK WEEK LG
That vette had the "shake and Bake" tune for sure.
Great event Tom! Sorry you personally had issues this year. You’re still bad fast. Thank you. 🙏
Pimp shoes made from snake skin dyed green is next years goal
Thank you Tom Bailey you and your friends really know how to put on a top even Sir.
That young lady loves her sport so happy for her way to go Alex
👍 thanks for all videos this week
On the test day I knew this truck was going to take it. It was just solid running down the strip.
"Ginuwine snake" hahaha..
That's a fast 5.0 Coyote!
Good show lots of fun
Hell yeah brother
looking forward to next year, thanks Tom 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Super fun week! So many cool cars!
Killer boots dude
You have very High quality videos. Am I not entertained! Thanks for the video!
Has anyone got a link to a video of the Swedish truck? Wanna know more about it !
Dude with the green shoes lol.
Which brand of engines were using the Swedish racers?
And people said an LS wouldn’t run that fast for that long. Way to prove em wrong!
Cool 😎 . Awesome stuff !
That blue hoodless Camaro is nice. I'd love to see the inside and learn more about it. Does anyone know the guy or how I can see more pictures of that car? Thank you
That's Soccer Mom in a previous life. 😂
That’s Clint Sedowski, former MLB pitcher.
Soccer mom hoodless?!
Great event!
1:05 is hilarious
I think that the ole Pearl should get LS 408 stroker with a "built" 4L80 trans, use a simple Terminaor X setup and let it eat all motor until you can no longer stand the lower power levels lol
I was like that sounds just like Tina Pierce …. Lol
Those are genuine pimp shoes....lol
Sorry I missed it this year looking forward to joining next year but need more information what does it cost to enter this
To be honest, Im trying to be kind here, but if you ask those things in RUclips comments, are you really that close to join in?
Go to the website and find out. The comments section isn't exactly the place to find that answer.
Okie dokie...thanks brother
I've never drag race before so all this is like new to me I do love the sport I've washed NHRA eyewash bracket racing my neighbor used to do bracket racing at that time I was not interested in it but now I am just looking for a little help and how it works that's all I'm asking how does it work I'm just the new guy
I got all the information I needed....thanks
Amazing week.
He SOLD THE TRUCK
Sorry to say but that's the justice system for you wish you the best on getting your truck back
Congrats To Bradley Arnold from Ky.
Why nothing about Devin Vanderhoof winning Rowdy/235 class?
I saw he sold it, but I never saw what the setup was. Anyone catch that? It’ll probably in the Sick the Mag. I should subscribe…
I am from Sweden!
I'm from Finland >:D We love your drag culture.
Liksom 10.4 miljoner andra 😆😉
Swedes and cars just go together
👑
Sweden is the street racing capitol of the world. Sorry for the good ol boys of usa😅
The dangers of steel driveshafts
Murican parts and tracks and yet they need Europeans to show it how its done lol Was a fun week to watch.
The swedish HPD is needed.
you know why?Swedish ed system is based on Finnish one and we all know our physics.Westbergs relatively small engine shows this.Steve s over powered engines just destroy everything bolted to them.
@@teknoaija1762 And then to think there is almost no drag racing community in Europe. (there is, but not big)
What's next, are the Norwegians on their way to deliver some Scandinavian whoop ass next year too ?
Snot rocket slippers.
Bad ass ls power, its not a coyote lol
Uhmm if you are talking about the green mustang, it's a coyote
How you guys let nordics come and dominate such a event?? :D
PLEASE SAY FIRST SICK WEEK LS CHAMPION LETS GO.. LS COMBO TAKING DOWN BB'S BILLET BIG DAWGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Given the number of drivetrain failures, especially with the big tyre cars, do you not think that possibly the tracks were over prepped and too sticky? Seemed brutal…🤔
That's the tuners and drivers job to assess the track conditions. As you see the Big winner Swede was right on it and beat everyone with a square body s10.
That's what happens when you have radial class cars and slick cars trying to share the same track.
You can never have a track over prepped, lol. Tom literally sells this event on being "The best prepped tracks in the country" and puts in the extra money and time to dedicate to top tier prep for the event days. Each side of the track is prepped specifically for radial and slicks. You won't hear a single racer out there complaining about a track being prepped "too good" hahaha.
@@lunkydog they prep for each tire, that’s why they call for slick tires and then reprep for radial, this is one of the reason sick week is one of the best drag and drive events.
As Steve, Tom, Kevin from KSR and just about everyone else there says, race cars break parts, that’s about it. Racing is tough and then you through in the driving portion and things break.
PLS Delete if not allowed.... Does anyone know if the swedes have RUclips etc ? would love to find out more about their Builds.
all of those folks pouring scorn on Steve Morris for not wanting to use a 'conventional' drive shaft in his wagon so you can see awesomeness , check out at approx 16 minutes into this video and see what a 'conventional' drive shaft even with 'mild' power does when it has had enough.
drive shaft loops are mighty fine but there is nothing to prevent the u-joints from calling it quits.
here is a suggestion for next year not just your event but for all drag and drive events.
i realize they are 'street' vehicles but safety is more important than ever especially in a litigious environment ......
RWD/4WD vehicles use a carbon fibre drive shaft and utilize u-joints rated for 1000 hp greater than the engines capability and certified by an accredited certifyer similar to the cage cert.
lastly on all vehicles no stock axles and also certified
congrats to the winners , to all who completed the event not just the drivers but the co-driver , to all the support staff who had to stay until the last person left and then had to get to the next event before everyone else.
lastly a tip of the hat to Tom Bailey and his crew.
6.57 with huge slicks and wheelie bars, while mullet runs 6.74 not on slicks and no wheelie bars
Mullet didn't make it the whole week...
@@henrycow203 and? my point was the time vs the weight of the vehicle and the accessories...
Living the dream is correct sir! I hate my life so much…
Pretty sure the rules will be clarified for the front clip in modified class next year.
Like the green Mustang guy stated though making that front 3-4 pieces wouldn't change his et. Just make it slightly harder to do maintenance.
