- I like having flexibility to my arrow build for a variety of reasons. Here, I'll go over a modular approach to arrow building that can get your arrows tuned to your bow in no time. At the moment, I'm using Victory Archery's RIP TKO.

Gold Tip Kinetic Pierce Platinum w/50 grains of brass up front, 125 microhades 4 blade, & bohning blazer three fletch w/wrap, and your standard nock. Switching over to a four fletch tac vane (2.75”) w/lighted knocks for those late/super early morning hunts. Have had great penetration, arrow hits like a freight train out of a 72 lb LH BowTech Captain.
Sounds like a solid setup man! I love that Tac vane. Hope you fill your freezer this year 👊🏼
Beman ICS Hunters 300 spine
3 AAE max stealth vanes, Easton S nock
50 grain brass up front with S125 double bevel Iron Will.
28.5 inches. 494 grains total with 15% FOC
Great setup! Those Iron Will double bevels are absolute money!!
@@s.g.holmes Can't wait to put one thru a whitetail!!
Your arrow in that build is only 10.6 FOC. What calculator did you use? Go to gold tip’s calculator.
I’m trying to build a fast arrow. For shooting like 250 ish yards😂 what would u recommend?
Wow, that's quite a distance to be shooting! I would look at something with a light gpi and possibly a 4mm diameter (to help with wind drag). Maybe look at something like a Victory RIP EV. Good luck!
@@s.g.holmes awesome. Thank you. Just trying to break some records
What are these arrow lengths carbon to carbon???
What poundage are you shooting, and what spine is your arrow?
It’s a 300 spine. Can’t remember the exact poundage last year, but around 70. Thanks for stopping by!
Built the same arrow with 75gr brass inserts, awesome
Definitely a lethal combo! Thanks for stopping by the channel!
Victory RIP TKO V1 300 spine
AAE Max Stealth 3 fletch
Nocturnal Fit Nock
Goldtip Trad 600 inserts (72 gr)
Iron Will SB 125
Length 25.5
Weight 475 gr
FOC 16%
Love it! I've been wanting to try those GT trad inserts - like them so far?
@@s.g.holmes love them so far no issues. They were one of the only stainless ones I found with the weight I wanted. MFJJ just came out with 50 grain titanium ones though so may check those out.
@@chilson07 just ordered some of MFJJ’s to try! Good looking out 👊🏼
Awesome setup! How long are your arrows?
Thanks Anthony! Mine are cut to around 28.5 carbon to carbon, I believe. What are you going with this year?
@@s.g.holmes my bow is Mathews v3x 33 74ish pounds I have a 27.5 draw and I’m running Easton axis 340s with 150 upfront cut 26 carbon to carbon, but also playing with 300 spine too. Being indecisive lol
@@Adlautz you should be fine with the 340s when cut under 28" carbon to carbon. However anything closer to 28" and longer, go for the 300s to prevent much flexing at 74#. At your length, you're just playing with weight of the shaft between 340s and 300s. Good luck!
The only LA I know!!!!
Hahaha, for sure! Thanks for stopping by the channel.
High dollar arrow!
Haha, yeah I didn't skimp on this one.
@@s.g.holmes it's a solid build! If there's anything to not skimp on it's the arrow. Best of luck this season!
@@jackbuendgen389 You too! Hope you fill your freezer man!
