Thank you Peter for your wonderful feedback. I am George Mylonas with the Golf image. I am really happy that you took time to share your thoughts. I will always try to learn as many as I can. Hopefully Olympus will stay by our sides long enough to provide us the tools to do it.
@@ForsgardPeter I take more than 10.000 photographs of cars monthly ( I work as a photographer in the biggest car retailer in Greece ). Always with Olympus. My first EM-5 went to 340.000 clicks and if it wasn't "abused" by me it would carry on! Thankfully Olympus gave me one brand new EM-5 mkII for the price of the old one being fixed and I appreciate them for it. I have my personal projects too and I never stop training to get better. Thank you again for your feedback. It is appreciated.
Hi Peter, very nice video and it’s great to hear the feedback or how you would adjust some images. The image of the guitar which is build, what for me is strange is that in de left down corner there was a nice shade with light spots of the holes in the wood. But underneath the rest of the “arm” were all the clamps are there is no shadow underneath it. For me it feels unnatural… But the idea is great and the craftsmanship of the builder is great! I cannot build a guitar by myself…
Thank you Peter for your very helpful suggestions about the star trail photo I submitted! I am brand new to photography and the em 10 mark ii is my first “real” camera. I’ve only had it since May and I’m still learning how to use it. I really enjoy your channel and I’m learning a lot from your videos. Thanks again. Peter!
Peter Forsgård Hi Peter! I like landscapes and street photography. I just bought my EM 10 ii in May and am enjoying learning. I live in Havana, Cuba which is a great place for street photography and I live near the water which makes for some interesting seascapes. Thanks so much for your interest!
Thank you for the review! (From the guitar maker) Great channel for an Olympus user, this channel is. Been learning alot from your tips. New on Olympus, but a brand that inspires with their features more than anything in my photo life. Can't wait to get a newer model! (Btw, more of my guitars on Flickr: Isaksen Gitarhøvleri. My other pictures on Flickr: limerot).
Congratulations, all excellent submissions! The daylight live comp, never considered that before. Thanks also Peter for showing and sharing your editing style in Lightroom, very much appreciated.
Thank you! Yes the Live Composite feature is great also during daylight. Of course there is a limitation, the 0,5 second is the fastest shutter speed that can be used.
Just discovered your channel. I like your approach in discusding these examples. I learned a lot an I am looking forward to my next shootings. Thx alot and greetins from switzerland.
Peter you do a fine job of explaining live composite. I am Australian and will be in Norway in February hoping to see the Northern lights. I have an Olympus TG5 which I bought to handle the cold, and I am hoping that live composite might be the way to get some nice shots of the lights. Have you tried this where you live? Any tips? Regards Johann
Only picked this up now. Very topical with this month's focus on long exposure in your new Facebook group. Maybe 'LiveComposite' could be a feature later this year?
That depends on the amount of light there is. The aperture is determined by how much depth of field you want. Then the shutter speeds follows with the ISO. It is the same logic as in any exposure. I tend to choose as fast shutter speed as possible to get faster feedback.
Peter, I appreciate your comments, the fireworks didn't start till 7.00pm so it wasn't possible to have a blue sky. Thanks for the educational videos. Olympus cameras have so many features having someone explain their use is fantastic.
I can understand and that what I thought. Fireworks looks better for the eye when its really dark, but better for the camera when there is some light in the sky.
Unfortunately I do not have any inside knowledge about new lenses. 12-40mm lens test would be interesting to do. Using that lens almost every day and I am very happy with it.
One thing I really don't get about Live Comp, is how you work out what exposure to give the shots. My brain is not engaging on this for some reason. Peter, help!
Hi Peter, i have a question for you. I'm thinking of getting an Olympus camera in the future and i can see myself as a landscape photographer using this feature, but why are the sizes of the images so small? They all seem to be around 2500x1900? Thanks
Peter. Thanks for your three Vlogs. They opened my 'eyes.' I have an Olympus camera, but I'd like to take it to another level. RAW. Shoot one RAW of the scene and as meany light shots as needed, put 'em in layers in Photoshop and blend/remove as needed. More work. But, I think one could get some really spectacular results. Wa'da'ya think? I too love snow and -temps. I lived in Fairbanks AK in younger years. Only camera I had was my eyes. Loved it. The Arctic offers challenging, unique and rewarding opportunities for a photographer. Macros of hoarfrost??? I now live in San Diego California. White bread weather, cities, landscapes... Some day I'd like to visit the north of your country.

Have you made more car images? That was really nice done. Thanks you for sending me the image for the review.

And all of them are being processed in Lightroom!
How is catalog holding? Does that amout of images slow it down?

Never been to Cuba, but have seen a lot of great street photography from Havana.

TG-5 works quite well in cold conditions. You will need a tripod to hold the camera steady. I personally have not tried the Live Comp. with the TG-5.

Good idea. Maybe it will in the fall.
Hi, cool thanks for your tutos. Do you use IS vibration on or off when having a 1 hour live comp ?? Thanks
Yes it is best to have it off.
Thanks for your detailed video. Question - how to determine which aperture to set, and which composite interval to select?
That depends on the amount of light there is. The aperture is determined by how much depth of field you want. Then the shutter speeds follows with the ISO. It is the same logic as in any exposure. I tend to choose as fast shutter speed as possible to get faster feedback.

Hi Peter! Can you share your inside knowledge about new Olympus lenses (too come)?
Can you talk about 12-40/2.8 performance?
Unfortunately I do not have any inside knowledge about new lenses. 12-40mm lens test would be interesting to do. Using that lens almost every day and I am very happy with it.
Take a look at E-M1X!... 43rumors.com... boom!!
That is interesting, but its only rumors. But have to say that 43rumors is usually quite close with their "news".

You set it from the menu. The shutter speed and aperture is the same as you would use if shooting a normal photo.

Where did you get this info? You can use all the pixels to record the Live Composite image and it can also be rocorded as a raw image.
@@ForsgardPeter i was looking in the top left of lightroom, unless that's for something else...
Of course from there. These images have most likely been reduced in size for email.
