  • Wilma built a #Dream #Home for her parents, now it's time for me to build hers. There are many stories like this here in the #Philippines. Many hardships and difficulties in a developing country. It's important to be thankful for what you have and enjoy life to its fullest.

Wow tears here, what a beautiful story Wilma, thank you for sharing. I married a lady from Leyte in 1980 , your stories reminded me of her. My wifes mom left and her dad died and my wife and 2 siblings became street kids at a young age and slept under a tree in a church yard. That was Palompon, sadly my wife died 20 years ago but we had 5 beautiful daughters. They have all grown up and left home and I now live with a stray cat but Im grateful for her being a big part of my life. Thank you again, you are an amazing lady, God Bless

Hi Paul, sorry to hear about your wife passing. Condolences. I know that church and church yard very well. Church of Francis Xavier, which is actually my confirmation name. So many stories like Wilma's here in the Philippines. People from richer nations don't realize how easy they have it as compared to developing nations. Thank you for sharing your story and keep watching.

First, my condolences to you and your family on losing such a great dad, and secondly, your dad must have been so proud of you to know that he helped raise such a great daughter that never forgot the family. You did give him his party, but you didn't know it at the time. Stay strong and prosper with Greg and your family.

You are right, she should smile as she has done so much for her parents over the years.

Wilma I saw how emotional you were telling your story so much so that I too was moved and I teared up also just listening to every word describing the details of your Papa's passing. It was so sad hearing how much you gave of yourself and the sacrifices you made so they could have a better life it's a very moving time. It's the hallmark of the Filipino life of Family first, with the sacrifice and commitment made for the betterment of the persons responsible for bringing you and your siblings into this world. Your Christian values of loving, caring, and respecting your parents by all you did so unselfishly made their lives better and it's what makes Filipinos so special. I do understand what you did, and how it impacted you because I too am married to a Filipina for many decades and during that time my wife went through a similar loss. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes to you and Greg, enjoy your retirement.

Wilma gets quite emotional when telling her childhood story. Maybe someday down the road. She has overcome so much and I'm so glad she finally has her Dream Home. Time for her to enjoy the easy life - - - with me.

Hi Rhelyn, it's a sad story. However, she can feel proud she supported her parents all these years. I'm proud of her. Thanks for watching.
