If you get the chance, and wanna do something kinda long, you should do the Stories of the Outlands: Fight Night trailer. It is almost 8 minutes long, but absolutely stunning, hilarious, and one of my favorite game trailers/things. Would love to see a breakdown of it if you ever get the chance.
Apex season 3 trailer meltdown Apex stories from outlands (u can watch every one of them cause all of them good )but my choices voidwalker ,northstar , fight night, forever family
Yes if you check out the apex legends channel there are also Stories from the Outlands that are basically the behind each character lore, or their story.
The head that was in the capsule was revenant when he was a human over 300 years ago. The syndicate uploads his mind into one of the simulacrum bodies every time he dies which is why he is immortal. This caused revenant to go mad for revenge against the syndicate.
a few details missing, he didn't know he was simulacrum, he was a hitman for the syndicate and one day something didn't work and all the previous times he "died" came rushing back all at once and he realized what he was then. that is why he kind of went mad and wants revenge because he basically experienced death HUNDREDS of times in seconds and wants revenge for being used like that.
In response to Thrustful2 (also this video is a little late, the trailer is kind of old...) That is true, I believe his head is alive-not just preserved. His source code is manipulated by his new memories, he says himself ic loading screens very..."sanely" to say the least, for the most part, that he is mostly a computer but hes still human (his head), it isn't just his source, it is HIM. He wants to DIE for a reason, not to end, but to die and rest - after being killed by what was his name, Bob Woods? Whatever his name, his body was rushed to Hammond since he was the best hitman, they had it planned for when he died to enslave him like this - he never did any of those things willingly, they type someone's name, they're dead the next day. In the images we have of his source code those tubes, there is blood flowing through them. To keep it alive and simulate the way the rest of his body would keep his head alive normally. I wont bore you with the half of my memory devoted to the Titanfall Universe lore, but hey, its just a theory. A...titanfall...theory?
The problem is he has no clue what he's watching... and that shit is so good and he has to have some knowledge who's this and that... It gives you the chills man
Its because when after her parents died as a little girl she wiped her tears and she had blood on her hands, causing that pattern. She then would copy that in makeup later.
I'd recommend watching the first "Stories from the Outlands" titled voidwalker. It's about Wraith, who is another legend in the game. It has a totally different art from the cinematic trailer. It's probably their best video.
My prayers have been heard. Thanks man! A little explenation for Lobas in-game abilities that were shown here: That translocation bracelet is her tactical ability, "Burglar's Best Friend", she can throw it and will then teleport to where ever it lands. When she used the staff to grab a gun, that was her ultimate "Black Market Boutique". In the game, she can place it down and interact with it to grab 2 loot items in a certain radius around her. Here in the trailer she used it to grab a gun from one of the Stalkers (those robots that she fought). Regarding Revenant, he was once human. When he somehow died, he was turned into a Simulacrum, which are robots that have the minds and memories of real people implanted in them. Its using the real brain tissue as the "source code" and is usually internal, but in revenants case its external and its his real head. This is most commonly used on soldiers who are too wounded to keep fighting, they are simply given new and better bodies. This is not really a cyborg as the entire body will be robotic. Destroying his head (which is also called Source Code) will kill him for good. Revenant is also 300 years old and was the first Simulacrum ever.
If you really want to get surprised with Apex legends, i recommend you to see The Old Ways, And Fight Night, these two are "Stories from the outlands" and are longest vídeos that shows the story from diferent characters
Definitely do another cinematic!!! Look at the “stories from the outlands” videos they are longer than those trailers but they also have more to breakdown ya know?? Definitely would give that a watch from you!
I expected you to comment on the lyrics. "I know your secrets" 10:53 when the password works and reveals the head" "no where to run too!" at 13:35 aswell, as it seems like she's surrounded.
I think that seeing how season launch cinematic trailers are shorter, you could react to more than one of them. As many more have mentioned, the stories from the outlands cinematics are worth a watch and could suffice for a whole episode by themselves.
Once again loving your reaction to these cinematics and as someone who studies film making and editing, I've learned quite a lot from your breakdowns, so thank you. To answer you question though. When it comes to the Apex cinematics, it's hard to tell you exactly which ones are connected to one another and which ones aren't, but they do usually follow one another, so it would be my recommendation to watch them in release order.
Apex has the best game background and story. The best is how it links directly to all events in titanfall. We got to see Hamond robotics logo in the revenants room of this trailer.
Revanant is conscious is controlled by his preserved head so you were right! It was sent to another planet and in the game you got to figure out where it is, I won't explain what happens after that because I want you to find out through the videos on your own 😁
From here you can just watch them all in order of release. It starts with the very first cinematic launch trailer (before the game launched) all the way down to the current season 9 launch trailer. Though there is no season 1 cinematic trailer. You can also watch the Stories from the outlands (SFTO) trailers though those are mainly story trailers. A lot of them are also way longer. But you should still watch the "Up close and personal" STFO because that ones still really cool.
you should watch the "Stories From The Outlands" from the Apex Legends channel as well, they are pretty cool and full of lore and I'd love to see you break one (or them all, hint hint) down.
These trailers are all very cool however if u want to watch like a full mini movie in that art style that is like 10 minutes long I suggest looking at the stories from the outlands like void walker or the old ways.
Also Idk if they explain this but if they do spoiler warning here Revenant is a simulacrum which basically means he used to be alive but now his head is being kept alive and he controls the body which can be manipulated and control what the robot body does
A cinematic just recently came out called “northstar,” part of the “stories from the outlands” series, in case anyone would like to look further into these cinematics. Note, these tend to have more of a definitive ending, more so than these trailers.
Its really entertaining to watch someone try to understand apex when he hasn't played any of it. As someone whose been playing since launch with at least a thousand hours. Its so much fun to see his fascination
Watching the trailers in order (Seasons 1 through 9) is interesting to me seeing the progression in style. The early ones are really bright and fun because the game was something new, but Season 4 the game has been established so they start getting more serious in tone. Season 4 is about as dark as they get though. Season 3 and 7 are my personal favorites.
The head loba tries to shoot was revenants head when he was still human In case anybody didn't know, revenant is a simulacrum, a robot that was once a human
did you notice the Figure head on her staff is the same thing her dad had in the box in the restaurant in the season 4 cinematic. If i remember correctly her dad was a master theif and she went into the family business.
I recommend checking out the various "story of the outlands" apex videos, they're very cinematic. The story between season 5 and 6, was settled in-client in a visual novel way, So the season 6 trailer is very past where this one ends, story wise. If you're curious, spoilers, She discovers how to kill him, but in the process discovers that he wants to die, he doesn't wanna be a robot, he's been alive 300 years, he thinks he's killed everyone he wanted vengeance on, he isn't allowed to die, he's effectively nearly immortal. And she decides it better vengeance to keep him alive. Tortured by the inability to die. She doesn't wanna do what he wants, He isn't a fan of this. But she is the now the only one who knows where his head is, So he doesn't wanna kill her, and has no idea how to solve problems without murder.
I think before you watch those cinematics you should see some sort of abilities trailer for main character, it makes muuch more sense when you know what she can do.
The cinematics do progress the story, but a big part of the story unfortunately is in the comics that are in game,so if you really want to know the whole story of the game you can look up the comics or a summary of the stuff that happens in the comics, the rest of loba and revenant's story is also in the comics, and not in the other trailers
The head is the memory system of Revenant. Whenever he dies, Hammond robotics transfers the data to a new corpse instantly. It is now season nine. Revenant and Loba (The girl) have had a huge rivalry. But now they're teaming up to kill Revenant. Yes u heard me right. Revenant is teaming up to kill himself. I believe in the games lore he is several centuries old at this point.
BOI it's good to be back for Apex, but ya gotta check out the previous ones! It will explain a lot. The Launch Trailer is important to watch, then Seasons 2-9 in order, skipping ones you watched of course. Season 1 is just gameplay so it treat the Apex Launch trailer as "the first one" x) Also, you are lucky because those two are pretty much the only ones that have a continuous story, other trailers don't really carry the story from the previous ones, rather show new parts of the lore. To understand more about Loba, I recommend watching "Legacy of the Thief", it's one of the Stories of the Outlands which are all fantastic to watch too!
You should play Titanfall 2, Apex Legends is basically an after story in a way. Its based in the titanfall universe, 30 years in the future. Revenant is a simulochrum (Apex Legends Cyborg). That head was Revenant, the army of robots are for his consciousness to transfer to if his current body breaks to much. I would HIGHLY suggest playing Titanfall 2, it will help you understand a bit more of whats happening and you will also enjoy it as its one of the best game campaigns of all time.
This season trailers are awesome but for Apex lore you should watch "Stories from the Outlands" videos, Wraith, Bloodhound and Pathfinder videos are great.
I'm playing apex legends and at minute 3:00, yes it's revenant mind. And to the video where you watched the season 4 trailer, he's a simulacrum or something like that and pls watch the gaming merchent!(insert the smash bros music here pls) he explains all of your questions about revenant. Search for revenant lore. Was that what the video's name was? Idk
Hey, React to the Titanfall 2 opening cinematic! Titanfall 2 takes place around 30 years before Apex legends and one of its Characters (Viper) reappeared in the newest Apex season cinematic

10:50 that red eyeshadow she is wearing should represent the blood from her parents (one eye for her dad and the other for her mum) :D
Its because when after her parents died as a little girl she wiped her tears and she had blood on her hands, causing that pattern. She then would copy that in makeup later.
