Akita versus Coyotes

We ran into at least two Coyotes this morning. One of them kept scream barking at us. I’ve never seen one stick around for so long and let me walk up to it that closely. This all happened 200 yds from my house along our regular route. It sounded like there was a 3rd Coyote further back in the woods.

Akitas are amazing! Glad he came back to you. As you stated, the Yotes will draw a dog in to ambush them. Great video!

They totally are! He’s a good boy, stubborn (like all Akitas) but he always comes back pretty quickly.
Years ago a local trapper told me the same thing, coyotes lure dogs away so they can kill and eat them. Crazy!
