Thanks for watching guys as always! If you're a Radiohead fan, I'd love to know which you think is their best album as I've seen different opinions on this.
I think that their first four records are really good at what they were trying to do. Yes I like pablo honey. Most of those song rock hard. But my favourite is probably Ok computer. Even though thats the one everyone likes.
It's not one of their most talked about albums, but I often find myself returning to A Moon Shaped Pool. In terms of their best album though, it's hard to argue that it's not OK Computer imo. In Rainbows isn't too far off. But OK Computer is their masterpiece.
@@coquierik6643 i think its a good record but i just prefer ok computer and the bends tbh. But kid a is also nice everything in its place is a hell of a opener. Like it very much.
Damn, hearing the guitar alone really exposes the grungeness of it. Those complicated layers of beats, psychedelia and noises on top of this is what makes Radiohead sound unlike anything else.
As much as I love pretty much all their material, I'd love if Radiohead released one more big guitar album. I think it'd bring their discography full circle. Anyway, great vid. The tone on Airbag is spot on.
@@S728-u9x Because instrumentally it sounds like a happy lullaby, but with the dark lyrics on top, it becomes a whole new song. Sort of like Girlfriend in a Coma by The Smiths. Super happy and innocent sounding song on the surface but the lyrics are the complete opposite.
My favorite Radiohead riffs are their arpeggios or more subtle ones. In 'In Rainbows', they are so simple but vibrant like reckoner and 15 step. The guitar part from nude feels like a sad hug tho and I love it for that. Most underrates ones are probably from Hail to Thief (I will and Sail To The Moon). Present Tense is also cool
I've been waiting so long for this one! You sent chills down my spine when you played "Airbag" and "My Iron Lung". You nailed the tones on them for sure. Their first two albums have tons of great riffs on them with songs like "You", "Just", and "Planet Telex". I'd love to see you cover those in the future.
Another great video, and it's hard to pull off the essence of Radiohead's songs with one guitar only. But you nailed it as usual. Glad to see The Bends and Optimistic making the cut. Cheers!
Nice one mate, 👏👏. I spent about 50 mins about 11 yrs ago 'writing' Iron Lung, it felt familiar but I pressed on. When my missus came back from shopping I proudly played it her. "Well, what do you think?" "Wow, you worked out how to play Iron Lung, congratulations 🎊 !" I was so disappointed, then chuffed, she was right, I had learnt how to play Iron Lung 😂, I thought that it might have been a Beatles song when I was 'writing' it. 🤣 Like deployed 👍 😎🎸✅
Solid picks and great playing as always! Thom, Jonny and Ed can really come up with some seemingly basic, but surprisingly intricate and memorable guitar lines. Guitar wise, "Let Down" is one of my faves, for the tricky timing and seamless layering of the guitar tracks. Also have a soft spot for "No Surprises" and the haunting "Street Spirit".
I’m subscribed and am pleasantly surprised with your choices like dark entries in one of your recent ones hopefully maybe STP or Siouxsie and the Banshees soon.good job.
props to putting in little by little, go to sleep, and the bends' title track--all killer songs that absolutely need more attention. this video is rad as fuck
Despite the fact that Radiohead doesn’t like this particular song Creep but, still perform it at some points, it is actually a good riff because of how the verse chord progressions is an arpeggio.
wow you absolutely nailed the tone and feel on these! radiohead has so many incredible riffs. as for best album it's an impossible choice but ok computer as a statement album from seemingly out of nowhere was almost unbelievable
Surprised to not see anything from Pablo Honey that album has some pretty decent guitar riffs Oh and yeah as usual I made a playlist on ideas for your videos this time it's guitar riffs from bands with animal names I don't know I thought it was a fun idea
Songs that should’ve been on the list as well: Electioneering Weird Fishes Let Down Just Street Spirit The National Anthem (bass riff) 2+2 = 5 Jigsaw Falling Into Place No Surprises You
@@cornflakesyuh3235 I really do agree. It sounds so beautiful. I would also say (Nice Dream) but I’m not 100% sure if it has a specific riff in it, but the chord progressions are really lovely on that one.
Your tones are somehow freaking accurate.. How tf? Also, I think Pablo Honey have some good riffs... Especially "You" which is pretty sick because it kinda sounds almost metal to me and to this day remain the heaviest guitar sound they did, for me
How have I not seen this one yet? And I completely agree with this list!! Only thing I'd change is the last 2, but I'm not sure which exactly I'd replace them with since there's so many good ones to choose from
I love that more than half of these are post Ok Computer, which is after they allegedly had turned away from guitar driven rock. Even then they never stopped keeping the core matter of coming up with killer guitar riffs alive and well.

I love how your guitar sounds on Airbag. Airbag is easily my favorite opening song on a Radiohead album
Everything in its right place >>>
15 step is mine but ok computer is a MASTERPIECE, and airbag is the better song easily in my opinion
I agree.
Man, there's like 4 different riffs in Paranoid Android and they're all awesome. My favourite is in the chorus of the first section, the very high one
If you end up doing a part 2 could you include “Just” it’s a really powerful song with a crazy riff
Myxomatosis would be really good as well
would also like electioneering in a pt 2
would love for him to cover the ending riff of Just loool so good
