You've got nothing to worry about! Your footage is fantastic, attention to details and light play especially. I love the unrushed quality of the shots as well, challenging but so worth it. As an artist, I see another artist eye at work, noticing what is there in the moment that's gone in a flash. Getting use to filming yourself and talking about yourself is just a process. Be yourselves completely and don't be afraid to be real. We all know that there are significant challenges in this life style. Oh and be flexible in your expectations 😅
Thank you for taking me into your van life, cooking, beauty, hiking family.......oh yeah! I am your family! The music along with the videography is so soothing. Thankyou
Went to Arches National Park last March and did a day hike. The weather got bad, so we left earlier than we wanted and unfortunately didn't get to Delicate Arch, next time.
That’s unfortunate, we’ve just got the first of the poor weather in UT. Luckily it was quite warm while we were hiking. Good thing the park isn’t going anywhere so you can go back!😁 thanks for watching!
Your story telling is humbling and I love your soothing voice. I love watching the two of you live out your dreams. I too live in my van and document it. I understand the comparison game all too well at times.
Good stuff. Regarding storytelling, and somehow I feel this, especially applies to all of those in the vanlife genre, in the long run, it’s got to be not only somewhat unique, but also genuine. You do you. Without question, I would not be still following along, and certainly not taking the time to comment. If I didn’t think you all are on such a path. So yeah, you have to figure out how to tell your story in a way that attracts and retains all of our limited time. So far, I think you know that it is not about a thumbnail that includes T&A or clicky, suggestive titles. I think it boils down to telling a story about people, places & things. Especially unique ones, which certainly is not easy on RUclips anymore, and tell the story in a way that includes your emotions. And then, of course, there’s the hard work involved in getting all of the shots while trying to travel in real time. I vote you guys hang in there.
Thank you for the kind and thoughtful words. It’s very true that YT is a real challenge for those who don’t wish to play the game of click bait titles and T&A thumbnails. We’re trying hard, as a couple, not just me (Alex), to find our flow so we can create genuine stories of life experience for those who care to watch. We’re getting closer with every video. Thank you for watching and following along. We both really appreciate kind, encouraging words when the come along.
Great feedback. You obviously know the routine. This is the stuff of rare friendships. I hope y'all find each other on the road one day and get to trade stories around a campfire.
Enjoyed! I drive by Grandstaff almost every day - now I'll have to get my feet wet! As far as creativity goes - I say - just go out and shoot a ton, and don't get caught up in the comparison games that are pushed by "big tech" ( because - it's meant to divide everyone once you really try to understand what their game is ).
Hello fellow Canuckianians!!! If you're ever coming through Denver, let us know!!! We've got a spot for you to park and hang out and refresh... Have fun out there!!!
I was in Moab in the middle of October. Fabulous place. I took a slew of pics. Just one amazing scene after another, but in the end I just had a few really good ones and the rest were pictures of more rocks. Your video did a good job of capturing the magic of that rugged landscape making it another noteworthy production. Keep it up!
Wow. Wow! WOW! Thank you for taking us to Moab, for sharing the outward experience and your inward journey. Both are so beautiful. Loved the PDA too! 😍
Great video! I live in Durango, and I am a regular to Moab. I have been watching you guys a bit lately. You're doing a fantastic job! Don't compare yourselves. Leave that for everyone else to do, just keep doing you. Be sure to drive Hwy 95 from Blanding to Hanksville. Also check out Burr Trail as well. So many great spots in southern Utah.
Thanks for watching Jim! This state is unreal, we have SO MANY spots marked on our map. We drove the 95 the other day and loved it so much we’re going to do it again. We’ll definitely check out Burr trail.
We've done Grandstaff Canyon once, love the diversity of the trail and being down in the canyon. Done delicate arch twice, think it's the most magical place on Earth. Looks crazy when the peaks of the La Sal Mountains are still covered in snow in the background.
Grandstaff was a nice surprise, we were the last ones in the canyon and had it all to ourselves at the end. Arches is otherworldly, we could hardly believe what we were looking at. Thanks for watching and following along!🙌🏻🙌🏻
The tortellini soup looks so good you better not put no chickpeas or tofu in that lol🎉🎉🎉 great shots took me forever for the algorithm let me find you keep up the good work guy thank you!!!
Thanks for watching John! Maybe, just maybe the algorithm is finally working a little in our favour! You’ll have to take up the chickpea and tofu thing with Meg though.🤣
My videos wont be as grand as yours,Yes you are a storyteller...lol....i'll definitely need to download grammarly to match your type of vocabulary....double LOL....by the way that 18km hike must be really 19km...as you had to walk back to grab your camera. Again no criticism here, love your videos!!!.
lol, perhaps I get carried away with vocabulary from time to time. It’s likely a mask for my insecurity that people think I’m dumb. 🤣 Return trips for the camera are no joke, as you create more you level up, getting further away from the camera before turning around. Thanks for watching!🙌🏻😁

Wow, your drone footage is top drawer, not to mention the editing, the both of you look happy and healthy, stay safe.
Thanks Jim! We’re happy, healthy and mostly safe!😁😁
@@jimshaw9449 Agreed, I've seen plenty of drone videos on scenei but not as beautiful as his.
Excellent storytelling my friend. I really enjoyed this
Thanks Jacob, and thanks for all the storytelling wisdom!😁
