This was great! Arizona sunsets and landscapes are unmatched. Also, your Google Earth skills are exceptional lol.

We went with a Navajo guide and it was well worth the expense. One of my favorite places. 📷

I hadn't heard of John Ford Point but it looks like it was in a scene towards the end of The Searchers, directed by Ford. Marty (Jeffrey Hunter) was dropped down from the plateau at that point so he could sneak into the Indian village and rescue Debbie (Lana and Natalie Wood). John Wayne should have won an Oscar for his role as Ethan. The scenery, of course, was amazing and Ford set it in Texas!

John Ford was a famous film director who did a lot of Western movies mostly staring John Wayne I'm sure he filmed there to have the point named after him . Great pictures and video of Monument Valley

John Ford filmed 7 movies in Monument Valley, starting with 'Stagecoach' in 1939. I made the trip there a few yeas ago and shot dozens of images. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

I had no idea there was a loop you can drive at Monument Valley. I'll have to drive it next time. We stayed at Goose necks state park near Mexican Hat, not a bad for five dollars a night.

Not noticing the exposure change is something I've done in the past but now with mirrorless it's kind of hard not to notice with the EVF.

A definite benefit to mirrorless there. At least these moments are few and far between.
