There is something about catching my own bait that is very fulfilling and knowing that I have only caught enough to use for that day without any wastage is satisfying.
I am certainly no pro at catching these creepy little guys but it is a lot of fun trying. This is a brief explanation of how I attempt to catch them. Some days I catch everyone I lock onto and some days they just keep slipping through my fingers.
Some people use worming pliers but I prefer not to, I like the challenge of catching them with bare hands.
Enjoy xx
Australia, home of giant spiders and now giant worms.
Why have I only just discovered this channel? It's the quickest I've subscribed
very interesting, a couple of those will make a lot of bait. by the way - love your Aussie accent, it so cute. I was in Sydney and Perth years ago and I loved them both. The people were so warm and welcoming. I have never forgotten that.
😅 thank you, I'm not sure about my accent it's very strong.
Did use really come to see her catch worms or just come to see beautiful brook 🤔😂😂😂😂🙋♂️
Hey Brooke is this fingal beach Nsw??? Making it look easy in style by the way
Clearly explained the art of catching the worm as it arches it's head. I never had much success, but this should improve my score.
YOU ARE A GORGEOUS WOMAN..AND I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WERE WORMS JUST UNDER THE SURF.
what an awesome way to catch bait
We will give this a crack this summer coming with Melly girl, sweet video.
Beach worms are great to try and catch with the kids ! They love spotting them and the whole process is a bunch of fun. I can only catch one out of about 20 but we always let them go (bury them) it's just a bit of fun. Anyone who wants to try , all you need is a couple of cans of sardines ( in oil) a stocking and a calamari ring from your local fresh fish shop. It is a real challenge! :-D
Your better than me at catching them brooke great video thumbs up
do you use the whole worm for bait or cut him up in several pieces? I don't recall seeing those on beaches I've been on a lot. That must be a south Pacific, Coral Sea, Indian ocean thing. I've lived in Daytona, Virginia Beach, Naples, FL, LA and San Diego and none of those beaches had beach worms. Or if they did few people knew about them and I never saw one being caught. I've only used earthworms for bait. And they work very well.
Happy to see my favorite n beautiful youtuber! Cant wait for the next one brooke!😍
Hello from Chicago, 🇺🇸
😁 hello Chicago. Thank you for watching.
Awesome video I live on the mid north coast of nsw was lucky enough to grow up around beach worming and mullet netting my family does it for a living, caught my first beach worm at age 7 now 35,good money in worming for a living but the licence is expensive
Another amazing looking location, keep the great info and vids coming Brooke!👊
Ps if you haven't ever watched or heard of it, check out fiddler worms, further south of me many still take a piece of wood and use the vibrations to call worms out of the wet ground.
that sounds interesting, I'll check it out. Cheers mate.
Cheers, it is pretty cool, hammer a piece of wood into the ground then take a heavy thick toothed file and drag back and forth across the top and they just flood out of the ground, keep up the awesome work.
I would be keeping you at home with a butt like that Ha ha
Great video on worming, very well explained. And oh so nice scenery.
Is this in WA? Im trying to find out what bait i can catch around the perth area
Did you find out if there is a way to catch those in Perth Area?
Are these bobbit worms? Can they bite ya?
Are these in Florida beaches?
Thats a pretty small guy?,lol,,, gotta be the longest worm I ever seen....thanks for the video and good day mate..
Very interesting! Never seen this done. Thanks for the vid.
Interested to try as normally I just bought them, thanks for the tips, you’re beauty 🌈
Hole mole, those worms are long! Your so brave!
Great video Brooke your the best!!
Thanks very much for showing me how to catch beach worms ,
Going to try get some this weekend.👍✌✌
Excellent "how to" video, now I know what I've been doing wrong.
Also love a girl that's not grossed out by the slippery worms..
they are a hard little creature to catch. Thanks for the support Nancy.
That is so cool, i had no idea that is what you did for worms
It's so much fun. Specially when you get a real big one out of the sand.
Your videos are such high quality and always have great cinematography! Where was this?
This is a really cool video. It makes you wonder what else is under your feet when you walk in the sand. Are they hard to keep alive after you catch them or do you have to use the right away?
I usually use them that day but I do freeze them too. Add a bit of cool sand to the container to dry them up a little before freezing.
Thank you for sharing.
Quick question. Can you find bloodworm in any saltwater beach ?
Can I do this off any beach brook?
came for the worms, got a nice view.
I'm now terified of the beach.
😂 just sprint to the water.
Thanks I was having trouble catching worms on the sea beach
Brook where were you catching those worms at?
Fingal. South side of the Tweed bar but most beaches have worms. Best to use the burly bag to find them. 😉
Great clear video.. good explanation too.
Thank you.
Aaaah, you haven't really lived until a pair of quizzical young english backpackers happen by, the curiosity of what the hell that aussie is staring at in the sand gotten the better of them. This is where you highlight that u are catching worms! "Worms? Bollocks" they reply, and need little encouragement to get down really, really close so they can see. This is the perfect moment to withdraw 3ft of struggling pink snake with black teeth from where they've been walking, being sure to mention they're harmless, at worst they might take a little toe!
😂 it's so true.
What are you catching with those????
One of the best baits around. Whiting, dart, bream, jewies, etc.
Nice demonstration
Thanks
Awesome video Brooke. When is the next one coming:)
😎⏳
Well done beach worming is hard work but good fun👍
Wow, I’m hooked
Very Cool vlog Brooke
Nice work Brooke, they are extremely hard to catch. I haven't mastered the art as yet. So expensive to buy.
How long did it take you to get your first one?
Which time is best for catching this type of worm?
awesome job Brooke hello from alaska USA
Hello Alaska. 😊
That seagull was not happy
yall be careful, those are venomous and cause horrible swelling and burning pain
Nice..... Subscribed and all of the above.
Some people use pliers. Coz the worm's grip is something else
Didn't know what was going to happen next when she said do you want to see my big one
Hi there ,can I find these on any beach
Great spot for them there, the road in is a bit rough but hey!
Yeah my Skyline doesn't like it.
where abouts can you search for them specifically?.........around the pier area ??......or any part of the beach please?
Along the beach
We use to catch worms in Maine, USA. But our's had one heck of a bite if you got your fingers near their mouths/Jaws and lived in the mud flats.
I live in Maine and am an active beach person I have never seen a worm like this. I do know we have a huge blood worm supply in the mud flats and people have to really dig for them (thankfully.) I really hope they are not right under the sand like this. Ughhhh. I am scared of them I would rather hold a snake.
@@Jacksonandjulian ....I live in Maine too, OOB, I'm going to have to try this technique. Beats digging up the beach.
Where’s the bearded clam?
Or waxed? Is yummier
What a beauty!
Beach worms and eels.. gross. But epic bait. Lol
True that. 😉
Was there a worm in this vid must have missed it
Gracias por la idea, saludos desde Punta Umbría-Huelva.
Can you do this in the STATES?
I'm not sure, I've never fished or tried worming there. I image there would be worms there too.
I know that they have saltwater yabbies in the states, collected on the same type of sand flats and methods as here in Oz, so I'm going to reason that brackish substrate worms similar, if not identical to our beach worms are also likely have taken up residence.
@@HookedOnBrooke ...yeah we have worms here, just not the monsters you guys grow down under. Here they are more like the size of earthworms, 4-6" some larger, but too much more, unless you get bloodworms.
She's got works!!!
like Bobbit worms without the large teeth
Cool, show us some whiting next time
Not enough butt lol. Jk cool info and vid
Well between pirate gold and now this, i've had quite the RUclips day - both firsts ~ AJ :)
Good to see you are a RUclips fan. So much to explore in RUclips land. 😉
And you see my avatar and i commented on your bait catching ability -so obviously i watch fishing stuff as well. Never seen anything like those worms you have down under, i sub you so i'll expect you to catch some fishes and fry up a few ~ AJ :)
awsome brooke :))
I never knew about those guys
What's the purpose of catching these things
one of the best baits you could use on the beach, just about everything eats them
what do you do with them for heavens sake ?
Use them for bait. 😉

I can't seem to find the knack when it comes to beach worming I can catch the fish just can't seem to catch these bloody worms
It's hard I know. Sometimes I'm good at it and sometimes I miss every worm.
Tweed Heads?
😊 Fingal.
I assume this is for someone who isn’t squeamish when they see a worm? Lmao nice video though

Well I actually had no idea those things lived under the sand at the beach like that and am now terrified of being eaten alive by beach worms... =/
They have been known to come up and bite in between the big to and the next . You have been warned ! :O
Yikes!
If you need help with that grip strength and head grabbing technique id like to help....
Damn, that CAKE!
