    Jono, your channel deserves a gazillion subscribers. All of your videos are fantastic. I've used Logic for longer than I care to admit and I'm always fascinated by the creative way you use the program. You are a great broadcaster and educator - thanks for everything you do.

    Hi Jono, just to say a very big thank you - I learn so much from you and really look forward to your videos each week - you make using logic so accessible and understandable, and it all feeds so much into my creativity. (I also enjoy how you add in your sense of humour). You truly are a legend!

    Hi Jono, thanks to you I learned to use Logic plugins. I didn't appreciate them at the beginning. I used a lot of subscriptions. I gave them up after some time, when I appreciated the potential of what is included with the program. I only left myself the most valuable ones from Waves, Flux and other manufacturers. Now I'm playing with the new capabilities from version 8.

      Hello! I'm so pleased to hear that. There is no doubt that Logic's plug-ins are capable of a great deal, particularly if you're the kind of composer / producer / mixer who enjoys blending sounds, treating them and making them your own. Thanks, as always, for your kind words.

    Great video again. Thanks a lot, Jono.
    Since I'm using an older version of Logic Pro (10.6.1), I don't have 'Analog Kick Drum Bank' (.pst) on Ultrabeat. I was following the steps you did before, but when I couldn't find the right sound there, I lost my enthusiasm. Anyway, I'll try to select a similar kick sound hopefully. :) I do appreciate what this video teaches., the overall concept though. Thanks again.

      You're most welcome. No two Sub Hits should ever be the same, so definitely don't be put off if you're missing a specific sound that I've chosen as a trigger. Towards the end of the video, I've listed a few ways that any hit like this could be further enhanced or developed, so do try out some of those ideas. Hope you get to the sound you want.

    2:25 Nailed it! and at 5:18 ( ish) you made "Endless Space" . . . End! Another triumph. 😂
    Fun aside ( because who want's that in their life) I really enjoy these vids of yours because I always learn something. Cheers.

    The thing that sets your excellent tuition videos apart is your detail. You often create what you set out to do and then take it further by adding another element, and then finesse it further via another tweak. Outstanding. Thank you so much 👍

    Thanks for the tutorial. I now have what I am looking for in my latest piece - the sound of a journey by steam train!! I needed a "sub-base" sound to simulate the engine noise. I had all the "high" steam sound sound, but needed something underneath it all to pin it together.

    FYI, there are already cinematic hits (including sub bass) in the default Logic Pro library.

    • @jonobuchananmusic
      @jonobuchananmusic  9 месяцев назад +2

      Hi Teddy. Absolutely, there are indeed. The Loops library and the raft of presets for Logic's instruments are abundant but it's always worth remembering that everyone who owns Logic has access to those same sounds. A huge part of the wonder of production and composition is building new sounds - not just for that one sound you make - but for what you learn along the way. So I'd always encourage people to ignore the presets as best they can. Take inspiration from them, for sure, but then look to get lost in the joy of original sound-making and shaping. You'll always discover something new.

      Give a producer a sub hit, they use it on one track. Teach a producer to make sub hits… :)
