    Killer ☝🏼🔥
    I like to give a fast coat on just the primer spot when Im doing these blues and red and let it flash before i give the 1.5 coat because of the same issue with the covering 🙈

      Axalta is wet on wet, spraying on dry BC will cause adhesion problems later, years down the road

      @@DirtyDimicoI don’t think he meant flash fully. Just a little 15 20 second dwell time. You can spray base on dried base it won’t peel. If it worries you tho just activate it first

    I like to use dark grey primer/sealer on blues and reds . Really helps with coverage

      Definitely on blues! Lately I have been having problems with the darker primer on reds. 3 cars in the last 2 weeks I have had trouble covering medium gray with red. Covered light gray very easily though.

      Run paint code for proper ground coat value shade. It will tell.you what color primer. It does with cromax pro

      @@everyday_painter I’ve even used a red ground coat to help cover over the dark gray sealer/primer if you have any left over.

      Why do you not put the first wet bed over the primed area ?

  • @ExFilHobbies
    @ExFilHobbies 8 месяцев назад

    What exactly is the wet bed? Is that the sealer that is put on the clear coat areas specifically to introduce an adhesion promoter?

  • @ExFilHobbies
    @ExFilHobbies 8 месяцев назад

    What is the wet bed material? Is it intended to be a sealer on top of the clear coat area to be an adhesion promoter for the base coat?

      Because you are not blending there. its getting base coat over the primer so the clear base would be redundant

    Your work is awesome, could you please help with this question, we have two options of clear base in our country: yellowish Matt or clear shiny, which one is better to use!
    I painted my wife car and
    I think she is going to kill me if she saw your work 🌹

    • @everyday_painter

      Matte clear base? Or clear coat? If clear coat I would go with a gloss finish. Matte is very hard to maintain as for if it gets scratched you cannot polish it. It would have to be repainted. Gloss you can. Hope this helped. Not exactly sure if this is what you were referring to.

      @@everyday_painter dear, before color you use clear base for blending , right?, what I am trying to know is what should I use as clear base before color as no much options here are available only two which is Matt yellowish and other clear shiny.
      No one here know what is clear base for blending
      Sorry for my bad English

    • @everyday_painter

      I have never heard it be referred to as matte. When my wetbed dries it is has a matte look to it. It is not shiny. But I spray my base coat into it while it is wet so it all blends and dries together. Maybe try telling them wetbed or basecoat blender. I have seen other channels that use a wetbed in different countries before. The thing is though that not all paint systems require it. So some don’t know much of it
