I was shocked because Google said there was a music group called 'Celeste Strawberry Jam'. I couldn't believe that there was a music group out there using that name. And then I saw the list of their songs and there was Celeste Strawberry Jam OST, and videos with this being one of them.
I finished this yesterday. I used this video as a frame of reference for a couple of things that I had to look up (namely, flags 11 and 3), and out of curiosity, compared my solutions for things I didn't look up here. I can absolutely agree that the ending is absolutely worth it and if you are considering going through the process of getting to this point, it's an incredible journey. To say that this was an unforgettable experience is an absolute understatement. Less than a year ago, I finished Mango Mesa and didn't think I could possibly go any further. I'm so glad that I took the dip and proved myself wrong.
Literally burst into tears after finishing this map. Still crying 4 days later. Honest to goodness masterpiece of a map. Hell, masterpiece is an understatement. Everyone involved should feel immensely proud of what they've made, makes me wish I could donate to the team directly.
Absolute masterpiece and that can't be understated, 45 hours and 14k deaths savestateless , grueling but worth every minute. Experiencing the map, gameplay and music evolve from their modest underground beginnings, to a trek through the planet's surface, to a full blown hostile supernova was nothing short of amazing. The checkpoint names really sell it too, with them getting more and more destructive and combative the further you go. It's like fighting against the map at every turn but still coming out even, as you maintain your resolve, make work of all the obstacles, and shake off being thrown around by portals. Still thinking about this map months after finishing. love it love it love it
After 39 hours, I have finally beaten the heartside! 130 hours total for the expert lobby, and I loved (almost) every part of it! Incredible work on the whole lobby! Now onto GM...
36 hours here, I thought I sucked but I guess the level really was hard (tho I spent more time on the lobby, I did every berries). Sincere congratulations!!
The last part of flag 7 is a really good warmup. After practicing it in another savefile, it quickly stopped feeling impossible and now I could do it every time
This and the grandmaster heartside are phenomenal, especially the music and atmosphere. Think I prefer the vibe of this heartside, but the gm has great moments too. Wish I was skilled enough to reach this point though! Still can't beat much past intermediate.
I was just thinking about this. I’m pretty sure it’s because the first three heartsides have zero storytelling. Blueberry Bay is just “wow you did it! Enjoy this view.” Raspberry Roots just rewards you with the giant tree it’s been hinting at. Mango Mesa is just “congrats.” Or something. I honestly don’t remember this one at all. Storytelling goes a long way in games like these. Not to say that the other heartsides suck. They do their job and they are enjoyable
@@joshuahamilton7630 there's minimal storytelling, the first three just go "have a nice view" while the last two have more involved stories hidden blueberry bay: a leisurely stroll from the caves to the shrine. go watch the sunset with some cute companions raspberry roots: a casual midnight stroll to the ancient raspberry tree of life. mango mesa: climb your way to the top of the mesa and enjoy the view of space. (it's so tall that there's a zero gravity section near the end) starfruit supernova: go on an interstellar adventure to reach the supernova and uncover the mysteries of the planet's past, present, and future. (also, madeline probably dies) passionfruit pantheon: this is it, madeline. complete the trials of the gods, and ascend to godhood.
Holy, after 80+ hours i finally finished this lobby, what a lobby it was, this was one of the most frustrating and hard things i've ever done in any video game ever, but god it was worth it for that ending screen
I forgor to breathe ;-; but wtf this is amazing everything about it is just top notch it feels like a separate game, and the ending is just... it teared me up a bit lol
I beat this literally only about half an hour ago, thank you for making this video, it helped a lot with the routing for each room ^^ I started playing strawberry jam with no expectations after having done nothing else but the vanilla game, never thought I would get this far but I'm having a lot of fun. Playing through the collab has helped me improve at the game immensely, to the point where completing this map only took slightly more deaths than when I completed Farewell for the first time, which was extremely surprising to me. I'm looking forward to Grandmaster next, hoping I have the resolve to improve enough to finish this out.
This seems achievable- maybe not now, but someday! The advanced heartside already pushed me way further than I thought I could go- I gotta come back to this eventually
Sometimes I come back to this video and just think about how good this map was. Shoutouts to Vinculum room making me use mirror mode because my keyboard won't let me dash when pressing the grab button and right at the same time.
Let me guess, you dash with _X_ and grab with _Z_ ? If so I have the same problem. That's keyboard ghosting or something like that. I'd advise you to label a secondary key for jumping, grabbing and dashing just above the default ones (so grab being _A,_ dash being _S,_ and jump being _D_ ) so in certain, very specific cases when you need to do something like that you can do it easier. Now if the problem was something completely different and I just misunderstood then I'm sorry TwT
@@BUGFlower413 That was actually exactly the case. I tried to be stubborn and stick with it to the end, but ultimately I ended up shifting all my action buttons one key to the right. It was probably inevitable anyway. Solar Express, which functionally uses the same tech as this flag, might be straight up impossible to do without variants (which I needed to make my clear video of it for RUclips).
@@gappy_galloween Oh that also sounds like a really effective way of fixing it tbf :33 Honestly I can't remember much of Solar Express (mostly bc I haven't touched anything from the GM lobby yet, my skills die at Expert, so Starfruit Supernova is as far as I'm going to get >w

Ive been playing through sj as a break from the sc2020 ngmhs, its very facinating to see the evolution of mapping in the community between the two, and how while the expert hearside of sj is defonitely harder than the sc expert heartside, the rooms are much shorter, which makes them feel significantly more manageable
tfw you get to the part that says "this ending is best experienced blind" but you also know you'll never be able to reach the expert heartside anyways... unless? (i will go back to playing the beginner heartside and hoping i reach this level of skill someday lol)
If you want a serious answer: mushroom dash crystals that augment hyperdashes to have more speed, along with special dream blocks which preserve the momentum you enter with, allowing you to build momentum by jumping out of dream blocks again and again, each of which gives +40 speed.
