Trains at Hastings, ECL - 1/7/19

- Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Hastings on the East Coastway Line and on the Hastings to Charing Cross route. Services are seen here by Southeastern and Southern (brand of Govia Thameslink Railway).
Hastings was the most enjoyed station of this particular day out. The station retains semaphore signals on one end and it looks great! The tunnel view from the Eastbourne direction is fantastic too with a view so far you can see trains enter and exit the tunnel. The variety here was good with Southeastern appearing here too making it not just about GTR and to top it off, the station is managed by Southeastern. This station has a freight yard near it too but not much came through in the way of freight however something did (watch and find out!). The sun shone here as well, making it a very successful and enjoyable filming session here. Highly recommended station!

Hastings my hometown not been back since 2014 (now live in Darlington), one thing I don't like about that station is the station itself. I preferred the old station as it had more character and charm where the glorified greenhouse just doesn't have it.
