I loved this conversation! I have found that a few artists on RUclips do not go into such a deep level of describing her purpose and process. Thank you.

Loved this conversation. I'm one of Ali's "Aligators" in our community on Patreon and it's been life-changing for me. Would highly recommend if anybody is interested in painting on Aquaboard.

Do you need to treat the Aquabord before applying Watercolour using Ali's techniques
Wonderful video, sound it just in time for my Christmas List 2024 :)

@@Gothxuk There isn’t any preparation needed, but painters will sometimes “flush” the surface with water first and let it dry to a slightly damp feel (not dripping wet, just cool to the touch). This is especially useful if you’re doing broad washes as air in the coating can rise up through the paint as little white bubbles. It is not necessary for detailed, small brush work however,

WoW! Loved this one, Ali is so excited about her medium. I like how she just goes into such detail about the Aquaboard and the watercolors. I have only tried Yupo with the watercolors, I just hate it, yes it behaves in a completely different manor than paper but, I'm not impressed with the pooling and settling of the pigment. The Aquaboard looks much better in that it will take a detail to wander over to the looser side of things. Thank You very much for sharing Ali with the rest of us!
