Thanks. It's both simpler than I feared and more flexible than I expected. Here's a thing. Setting the pedal is easy but some songs might use a setting that is not "on the pedal". That's no problem, you set the knobs & you get that different sound; when you move the pedal the pedal sounds come back. Another thing I've found: I set the pedal to have the guitar going through & the strings to swell, but on one song I like the mix full-wet. Set the mix to full wet and the heel position will do that.
Thanks for posting this and explaining things so clearly. I've just got a Cloudburst and I absolutely love it, and you've totally sold me on the idea of adding an expression pedal to it.
Liked and subbed. Thanks for the video.1st video I've seen using controllers with the Cloudburst..I'm using 4 external controllers with a GM-800 guitar synth.Using a expression pedal with the Clousburst will add even more to those sounds. Also plan on using the Cloudburst with acoustic guitar and Electrics. It's in the mail. Can't wait. Best Regards..
thanks for this video. when I do the decay as part of the exp, I hear a warble/pitch shift unlike yours especially on example 1. What’s your global settings?
Greetings Sir, Quick Ask while I'm at work (trucker)..Will the Cloudburst allow cross toggle settings for heel/toe? Normal toggle for heel, and Ensemble for toe~
I'm curious what the specs are for the expression pedal. Since the switch provided by Strymon requires no batteries and it's a TRS connection, it's got to be a pretty simple concept involving voltage levels. Do you (or anyone else reading this) know where to find a list of compatible switches and pedals?
I'm curious if you think the Strymon Cloudburst can combine well with the Boss RE-202 (or RE-2) Space Echo? No one seems to ever use them together, but you do briefly here. Can you comment?

Sorry for the late response. They sound great together. I would definitely recommend using them together if you’re into atmospheric ambient soundscapes. I think I’ll do a longer video with them together .
Hmm are you using an expression pedal that use a trs cable? Also try changing the position of your pedal. If the light is red move the exp pedal to the opposite position and back again. Sometimes the cloudburst thinks the exp pedal is in toe down mode.
Help!!! I bought an expression pedal, trs type like you suggested. I watched your video several times and tried to use the pedal with my Cloudburst. I worked great just like your video shows. Now I'm having a weird problem. No matter how many times I try to set a new expression pedal setting, I can change the first setting I programed into it. Now after I turn the Cloudburst on, and hold down the pedal button, I get a green blinking light and NOT a steady ON green light. Moving the expression pedal up and down does nothing. After a few seconds of the green blinking light the light just goes back to red to indicate the unit is on. I've watched your video over and over and no matter how many times I tried to change the first programed setting, I can't. It's really making me crazy! Do you have any idea what is the problem? Its crazy that the very first time I tried to use the expression pedal it worked perfectly just like in your video but now I can't do it. Thanks for any suggestions.
@RPMusicStudios well I guess not. Do I need a computer for that? I don't have one. If there is a way to reset it, I don't know how to do it. I keep the power supply unplugged when I'm not using it. Wouldn't that be a reset just unplugging it? Thanks for your reply 👍

@RPMusicStudios thanks for taking the time to send me this. I'm sure I wouldn't have figured this out by myself. First time I try using the Cloudburst again I'll try to follow your instructions. Thanks again!

Awesome! It totally opens up a world of textures and movement with whatever you’re creating! Glad I could help!
Love my Cloudburst! I didn't think I needed a pedal but after watching your video I need to rethink that. Good demo! Thanks
Thank you!!!!
Thanks. ❤️ This was so helpful!

Thanks for a subbing! That sounds like a fun setup!
This method also works for the Brig, thanks for posting!

Unfortunately that is not possible. It would be awesome if it could!

I bought an M-Audio EX-P for £12 and it works just fine.
GREAT explanation video, thank you!

When I hold down the foot switch to start programming, the LED blinks twice and immediately turns red. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Can you do a video using midi to it? Ty

Have you tried a factory reset?
