@@DouglasThompson Yeah, I didn't plan to use their software originally either. But for some reason all my pedals shake when I press them. What wire did you connect them to? I just use the USB to B in the PC
If I will ever have a proper rig in the far future, I will come back to this video to get your pedal setup off it, as I also want to have a sporty roadcar-feeling rig, something like your Subaru
I like the garage feel of your review. Also, those high pitched shifter clicks trigger me. Also, the Cammus stuff seems very cheap (price not quality) at the moment.
Finally got around to watching this lol. I do not look too much into the PC sim racing equipment as I only race on console but these look great. Definitely need to fill in the letters milled into that bottom plate with a clear epoxy or something. And I can laser cut an drill/C-sync new pedal plates. Those ridged do look gnarly.
You can extend the throw of the clutch on the v3 pedals by removing the clutch mechanism. It has way more throw than the cammus pedals but extending it will soften the pedal so you'll need a die spring to replace the stock springs.
I owned V3's great pedal set, although the Cammus pedals have much more throw available IME, the fanatec pedals are a better set overall but the cammus set is cheaper and good as well.
Thank you for watching! In case you are wondering, I mounted it to my second rig because I filmed the update video for the csl dd 200 dollar rig at the same time.
I've come to dislike fanatec there pedal tray sucks and handbrake is trash I own the cheap csl dd with a decent rim only thing keeping me from getting rid of it is the stem length fits my rig keeping my legs away from the monitor mount under neath the base.
Hi, do you think it's possible to put the brake on the left and the clutch on the middle? Do the cable lenghts allow it? Thank you very much. Greetings from Switzerland. Sandro
@@DouglasThompson Can use loadcell but still measure travel. If you replace the elastomers and the spring with hard spacers, so that the pedal arm has no travel at all, and you apply 100kg force to the pedal face there will be no signal output from the load cell.
@@1027hristo exactly. This is the weirdest LC setup I have seen so far. You can adjust the throw and the feel of the brake pedal by springs and elastomers, but the input is measured by the small load cell _underneath_ the pedal, which is driven by the exact same small spring just like the clutch and throttle pedals. This construction results in a travel measurent instead of force. Cammus obviously cut costs by simply using the same mechanism for all three pedals, just the springs are different.
@@andreasotto1977 those are load cells not proximity sensors. They measure force on the small springs in relation to the bigger spring travel of each pedal.

It's not the best but you can do some things like switching the load cell spring to a lighter Gauge but I wouldn't expect crazy performance from these. This being said, if someone mainly played f1 games, I wouldn't recommend this pedal set to them.

As far as I know, these pedals are no longer made as Cammus has shifted thier resources towards the upcoming LC100 pedals which are going to blow both these and the csl elite pedals out of the water. Unless you are able to find some of these used, I would recommend waiting a bit although these pedals were some of my favorites.
Would it be possible for you to do a review of an only cammus sim. Pedals, handbrake, wheel, wheel base, frame maybe?, and shifter. Do you know if cammus is planning on releasing a h pattern shifter ? I have only seen a sequential shifter. Looking to put together a sim soon.
