The virtual boy is way better if you get rid of that hunchback screen, and put it on a TV. Plenty of people do that with a thing called a Virtual Tap and a console case. I, being different bought two Virtual Taps to go to the same system, and had to find a way to make it 3D. Literally today I gave you'd probably the best showing of the 3D virtual boy. Set the left virtual tap to red, set the right virtual tap to cyan, and then wear one of those plastic 3D anaglyph glasses with red left, cyan right. There are many problems. First you need a 90s video editor. At first I had a composite video mixer so I had to convert VGA to composite but that cause ping which is especially notable in Galactic pinball. Finally this month I found a dual VGA mixer. If you do not change the resolution (either on the input or the output) then the game is low enough ping where Galactic Pinball is as playable as Hunchback mode. I make it a point to play the Virtual Boy on every third Thursday of every month. My twitch username is tripletopper.
@@Spaghettaboutit No, but most Amazon-sold VGA to HDMI converters are quick enough to be played well on a 1 ms monitor. Besides, a Retrotink 2X Pro M doesn't do VGA. Thankfully, it doesn't have to be microsecond-quick. We're not playing a light gun game.
You know, they should release a compilation with all of them or even release them on the EShop or NSO. I would even love to see the unreleased ones since I think they still have the source code.
I would say the 3DS did reach that potential the virtual boy was going for. I just find it funny that even though the 3DS perfected the stereoscopic 3D concept, NOBODY used it.
This is just Scott's questionable financial decisions, the video. $200 Space Invaders, $500 Water World, $2,000 Jack Bros. I hope Scott has an extremely well paying day job or is exaggerating. Luckily for him, the Virtual Boy seems to be region free, so he doesn't need two of them.
I am a HUGE Space Invaders fan, you little s***! You're lucky you are funny as f*** and I thank you for censoring the curses on your videos so I can watch you with my kid in the room.
I got it for Christmas the year it released and lol, yea. I used to lay on my back in bed and have the VB rest on my chest and play Tennis for hours 😂😂😂 i loved it, then Rhino Video Games came to town and it got traded.
The base of your Virtual Boy is wrong. I played like this, for many years, but recently I discovered that is wrong. It’s improve a little the comfort. At the 3:32, the Red Alarm game show a picture of a Virtual Boy with the right placement of the stand.

Imagine if Nintendo added the whole Virtual Boy(AKA Stinky Stinky Mr. F&ck) library to NSO. Now that would be weird.
