- The active arsenal of takedowns in modern grappling and MMA has been significally narrowed due to the risk of losing position when doing some techniques. However grappling arts are as diverse as life itself and there are situations when it's absolutely comfortable to use some classic throws. One of them is lateral spin. Watch Kirill Sementsov give a breakdown on it in this video tutorial.

Classic wrestling and judo technique. Gotta love Sambo.
love this stuff. very cool.
by the way its too fast haha... maybe u should try slow motion ~
vertushka👍
Можно было бы и деталированей объяснить, и шаг за шагом движения показать ))
имхо, чем отличается ваше видео от броска на соревнованиях ???
YOKO WAKAREEEEEEEEEEE
hey bro !! this movement all about use spin power right? not use throw power
Spinning motion, being tight and using his forward movement are the mechanisms that work in this throw. You don't have to lift him up in any way, if that's what you mean brother.
Love the guy posing at the end of the video lol
Good for gi too ?
You could show a repetition in slow motion ...
+Nico Contreras Absolutely. It is widely applied in gi or kurtka.
In the gi / judo, it's gripped a bit differently, but has the exact same mechanic. It's called ude gaeshi and it absolutely works in the gi (just won a tournament with it recently actually!)
Thank´s, my coach always encourages us to try some new techniques..
+theskorpian yeah, it's proved to be efficient in different grappling styles throughout the years. Thanks for watching!
Just don't change the camera angle in the middle of demonstrating the move, makes it much harder to understand.
+Cornbreadddd Thanks for the note. We'll have it in mind.
Shut up and just appreciate his great works
Thats a arm spin
