Hehe yan den po yung tinanong kopo sa instructor po naman na kung dumadaan papo ba or may roong malaking timbangan ang dadaanan ng mga cargoes bgo e Stowage.. medyo na tawa yung instructor po namin haha.. pero ty den dahil sa draft survey pala yung ginagamit nila at wala nadaw malaking timbangan haha😄 soon po sana maging isang officer onboard din po ko. Ty po sa lahat ng video nyo po madami pokong natutunan☺️ lalo nat ONLINE class lang po kami☺️
@Asia John yes it’s draft survey to determine the quantity of cargo on board, soon I’ll be doing tutorials for calculating cargoes, sa ngayon real life muna para makita nyo yung totoong work sa barko hehe

Hello, Chief, the video shows the draft survey in detail. Even a layman, like me, can understand it. It's not easy. 1, If there is a difference between the shore figure of cargo weight (let's say measured by scale under land bridge) & the draft survey figure, how to settle it? In case the difference between the two figures is below 0.5 per cent, in general is it acceptable? 2, In brief, can I understand the 6 draft survey figures are to be averaged to come up with the final figure? 3, After checking the density of the sea water sample, is it essential to adjust the density figure in equivalent to (a)the density of fresh water or (b)the density of sea water at discharge port? 3, Is the draft survey figure always in sea water or fresh water? How to determine it? Thanks.
Normally if they say we follow the shore figure then we have to follow it, draft survey is just to double check it. If there’s too much difference then we have to file a protest. Yes, the dock water density must be used.
Any recommendation on how to learn more. Books etc. I am a Cargo Surveyor would want to learn more on Draft Survey
@Chris Kimari, Trim and stability booklets, every ship has it. May be if you come to the ship, ask Chief Officer if he has a soft copy of trim and stability booklet and copy it on your USB drive.

@Bas Chrsitopher bali yung intermediate kasi pang pre-checking sya kapag malapit ng matapos ang loading operation para cguradong hindi sosobra sa target cargo ang maikarga, shinortcut ko na kasi yung video pero yung sistema ng draft survey ay parehas lang
