The quote from the head of the DOE loan program office is particularly illuminating.
Yet another reason the people at Aptera are showing confidence these days and Chris and Steve have a spring in their step. Things are really moving along nicely. I’m eagerly awaiting the reopening of the Accelerator program (to non-accredited investors), so I can put in more. :-)
Sometimes we write or say exactly the right things.
I was responding to someone last week who was complaining about when his Aptera was going to arrive and my response was this; “We are now seeing them built before our eyes in slow motion”.

Thank you Rich. The fact that the Aptera will become a Paradigm Shift is an understatement. Been waiting a long time. I also drive an EV (Tesla MYP) and I am never going back to an ICE vehicle. In fact, the MYP will become my wife's car when I get my Aptera.
Indeed, the Aptera Roadster will be a Paradigm Shift no question there. My Bolt EV (new battery from recall) will go my fiancé… and retire her trusty Prius.

Oops on the spelling! I am better with spreadsheets then I am with spelling.
It is an amazing car, bit they need to get to production and quickly add production lines in order to massively shorten the 2 year wait.
BTW I also don't care about its looks or awesome performance, I see it as the perfect lower-priced retiree car.
I believe the company is carefully balancing features, efficiency, price, and production schedule.
My favorite feature is the efficiency !
Say that the ATVM loan becomes granted, and then a few whales show up, because now the risk is much less, so they build 2000 Launch Edition, in a quick manner, and start getting some interest in the Automotive press. Car+Driver, Motor Trend, a few great reviews, then a private company still, with a revenue stream, and maybe even a small profit. That IPO might really change the lives of early investors. Once this is a better known, on the roads, with order book filling up, second and third assembly plants being built, then the IPO will look mighty good. Does your crystal ball see anything like this Rich?

What does these mean for the launch date?
The Accelerator Program / Crowdfunding, and the new $20 million Reg D offering, when combined with the DOE program - are consistent with production vehicles in 2024.

I've upgrading my lighting to include two LED panels and one large LED umbrella light. An upgrade to audio gear is forthcoming, likely using 32-bit float.
In the end, though, I get that it is how you use you equipment. You can put the highest quality gear in the wrong hands and get terrible results. Even the best microphones, for example, placed wrong, will deliver poor sound.
I am still working on how my channel should 'feel.' Warm and personal or distanced news reported type factual. I'm trying to hit the sweet spot in between.
The quality now is a far better from two years ago when I walked around the neighborhood with my phone in a gimbal.
