No more heart attack moments, no more allez Roger on slam Sundays and no more I hate you Roger for missing that easy shot. 😭 It's officially the end of our childhood. But the most overwhelming feeling I have is that of immense gratitude. I'm lucky enough to have started following his career from 2004 and saw the glory days, the dark days and the resurrection. People who have been brought into tennis after 2010 will have no idea how scary good Roger was at his peak. It's hard to fathom unless you're seeing him weave his magic live. His legacy can not be matched, ever, by anyone. Tennis will be forever indebted to this great man and I can't imagine how many millions will now tune out of the sport after his departure. He made people fall in love with the sport, inspired millions of kids to take up a racquet and try to swing one on the court, and always upheld the integrity of the sport. To me, that's his ultimate gift to the world and the game. Au Revoir, Roger! C'était un honneur.
