Roger Federer ● The End of A Legend | Emotional Tribute

- ● Hey guys, I did my best to release something for the retirement of Federer since the announcement this last week. I've done so many tribute videos on him through the years that I didn't know what to do for this very special occasion.
I feel like everything have been done about Roger and I don't have anymore original things to show you guys.
● So it's why I've decided to tell you how I've become an absolute fan of the Swiss Maestro with my voice in French this time. I had to add english subtitles inscribed in the video and it's not something I like because I think reading distract you to really enjoy the footages. I had to take this in consideration for my montage.
● But I still hope you will enjoy it and I hope to make more in the future about the Great Man, I don't know yet what it will be but I will try find new ideas.

This is such a powerful tribute. Almost to the dot, these were the same to my experiences being a video editor as a teenager (probably around the same age as you) in the United States. I vividly remember watching that RG 2011 semi, and I even still impress my friends that I know what federer was wearing and who he played for a span of 10+ years. I’m so happy this man could bring us tennis community all together and produce one of the most inspirational lives as a human being we could ask for.
Tennis has been recreated because of this man, he gave us something to look at. He will be remembered forever, even if others beat him in grand slams. He is the GOAT, absolute brilliance, that’s what he is. 🫡☝🏻👏🙌
To be honest i felt regret as i discovered about Federer so late (around 2019)
Since then every time i watch him it felt like i've supported him for 20 years. So much emotion
Once again, thank you LHP for this incredible tribute
Beautiful Tribute as always! I am a Djokovic fan, but I cried when Federer lost the 2019 Wimbledon Final. There is no way to dislike Roger Federer. I'm sure many would agree with me when I say that Federer was Djokovic's toughest(and scariest for us fans) matchup on the tour because regardless of which surface the match was being played on, there was always that feeling that Federer could find that Roland Garros 2011 miracle level again. Tennis will never be the same without him.
Thank you ! Compared to the Fedal rivalry, Novak and Roger match up has always produced very close matches between them. Even if it was straight set wins. Roger himself told that he was enjoying his matches against Novak even more than Rafa sometimes. So many epic battles that marked me forever, in good or bad ways ^^
Well, well, well. An admission. Am seeing a fair few of these at the minute. Yes, they are evenly-matched, which is why Federer's choking and tragic BP conversion rate is so galling. Alas.
Don't know about you, but it's clear to me that both Djokovic and Federer have made concerted efforts to not talk about their rivalry, and it has been easy for both to do so because Djoker and Nadal have played the most matches thus creating the biggest rivalry and Nadal has been giving Federer topspin abuse since 2005. Fed-Djoker is just there in the background, even though 50 matches have been played. I hope once Djoker retires he and Fed would be willing to let fans in on their dynamic.
@@mantaishere Fair point about them being evenly matched, but at the same time, mental strength in the clutch is a huge part of being a good tennis player, and in that department, Djokovic has him completely beat.
@@atulganesh7944 Yes, that's why I said the choking and BP conversion rate is the difference.
A question: Did you watch the Laver Cup? What do you think about Djoker suggesting to the crowd that Fed could come out of retirement? Obviously he was joking around, but it was a strange joke. Was he just trying to get some positive feels from the crowd, or was that his way of saying he wished he could play Fed one last time?
@@mantaishere I'd say it's the second reason you pointed out.
1000 times, thank you so much for this LHP! It's great to hear your voice narrate this in the beauty that is the french language. To be honest, I'm still shedding tears as we speak. Ever since the celebration started last night, I've been in tears. I was 15 when Roger beat Sampras on that amazing R4 match at Wimbledon on July 2nd 2001. I've never missed any of his matches since. I'm close to 37 now and I've been watching this man's game for more than half my life, watching his fantastic career unfolding before my eyes. I will miss terribly seeing him on the court, as being his fan all these years has been an integral part of my life and with his retirement, tennis in some ways will never be the same for me. Last night, when Roger and then Rafa started crying I lost it.. It's no wonder Rafa went home today after such an evening. I think something broke in him too yesterday, and I'm afraid he will be the next to retire. I'm preparing my tears for that day too. I agree with you that WB 2019 would have been the biggest win of his career, right at the end and I will always regret that, especially since he was on another level that match and tournament. At almost 39 years of age, he dominated Novak for 5 hours in that final, which is what I choose to remember the most. I will miss the many nights I stayed till morning or woke up in the middle of, just to watch him play. I will miss his game and the roller-coaster emotions his matches put me through. I will miss the artistry and unparalleled elegance, the array of unique shots that he brought to the court. Once again, thank you LHP! Goodbye, Roger... I will carry with me the memory of your legend, for the rest of my life.
Thanks a lot for sharing your personnal experience, I really enjoyed reading it. I'm almost 26 and it's been almost 15 years of joy following Roger in his journey. You're lucky to have witness Federer during his prime 2004-2007, watching him win almost every matches at that time must have felt something amazing. I don't why but those early mornings or very late nights to watch him play in Australia or at the US tournaments is something I will also really miss, I feel like it's a routine I will never do again. But anyway, thanks again for your support Andrei under each of my videos recently !
A 1000 thank you's can never ever be enough...
Roger is immeasurable on every level possible !!!...
It's not what you have done with your life Roger it's what you have done to mine !!!...
IF YOUR A ROGER FAN NO EXPLANATION IS NEEDED IF YOUR NOT A ROGER FAN NO EXPLANATION IS POSSIBLE !!!
As a young kid I didn't know much about tennis, but I knew of Federer and I knew of his epic rivalry with Rafa. As I was first getting into tennis at 15 years old I remember catching part of the 2013 French Open 4th round against Gilles Simon while on a plane to go on vacation with my family, and it was the first time I'd watched a Federer match. I remember after the heartbreak of Wimbledon 2013 and the regret of not following his career sooner because it seemed he was on his way out. Because of this, I began to study his past matches and what he was like in his prime. Watching him ascend back into form was amazing. 2013 Cincinnati against Nadal displayed a flicker of the old Roger and I was hopeful. 2014 Australian was the first time I'd wake up in the middle of the night to watch his matches, and I was so thrilled to see a little bit of life left in his game even if he couldn't get past his greatest rival. I remember being on a trip in the summer of 2014 but staying in the hotel room to watch the 2014 Wimbledon final and being devastated by how close he'd come. I remember the sweet victories of 2014 and 2015 but also the heartbreaking losses in pursuit of #18. Like many Fed fans, 2017 Australian was a dream. We knew not to doubt him, but none of us expected what happened. I savored every match we had left and especially of that magical 2017 season. To this day, the Kyrgios match in Miami is my favorite non-major match of all time. I even savor his 2019 Wimbledon campaign even if the ending hurt. At this point, I had gone to several tournaments in person, and from injury, having tickets for the wrong session, or losses the round before I went, I'd seen EVERY player but Roger. This year, I decided that I've had enough and planned a trip to Basel because I was not going to let a single match go by without seeing my hero. When the news broke of his retirement, I booked a flight to London despite friends and family calling it crazy to spend all that money on tennis tickets and to fly halfway around the world for a guy who might not even play. The atmosphere of that night is something I will cherish forever, and I will always remember the legendary story of Roger Federer.
Thanks a lot for sharing your story, I would have killed to be present in the stadium for the last of the Maestro.
For the only time I went to a tennis event, I got the chance to see Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka and more in Monte Carlo 2016.
I booked tickets for 2nd, 3rd round and semi finals, and it's against Bautista Agut that I saw Roger for the first time.
I will never forget that moment when the speaker announce the players' entrance on the court and said the name of Roger Federer.
Every body stood up and started to get closer from the court to see him, it was such a unique moment.
@@lehunterpro Thank you for the videos you make. They're absolutely wonderful and add even more to the way that I've been able to enjoy Roger's career. Do you still have all of the videos that you've made? I know there was one "The Last Opportunity" that was removed and I don't see it on your DailyMotion
Nevermind. Just contributed to your Patreon 😁
I think if Federer won that Wimbledon 2019 final, the GOAT debate would be almost dead. He would have become the oldest Grand Slam winner EVER at almost 38 years old, beating both Nadal and Djokovic back-to-back in historic battles, for 21 Major Titles and NINE Wimbledons…it would have been possibly the greatest tournament victory anybody had ever achieved in the history of the sport. He was only a few inches, one or two shots away from literally accomplishing the best run ever against the greatest rivals ever.
I don’t think anybody else could have beaten that version of Djokovic either. Federer even won more games in that match.
literally sobbing.. the minute the ellie goulding song comes on, i'm a mess - takes me back to standing in the crowd at the laver cup witnessing the end... media said her singing that song was a weird choice, the wrong thing, too random but i felt it was peRFect because it sums it up.. we, the fans, fell for roger every year, year after year and 'it took as a while' as in the beginning he wasn't so elegent, wasn't so peRFect but we fell for him.. year after year we continued to do so, his fan base became insane and we were 'still falling' for him - a stunning icon of the sport, an epic, elegant player ....... her song is the song of his retirement and its perfect - when that big knee slide happens at wimbledon, the leap in the air at wimbledon, the leap in the air at the australian open 2017, just gives me goosebumps, makes me tear up - 'his majesty' will never be forgotten in tennis ❤💚💜
0 Dislikes totally tell how good this video is.
What an incredible journey it has been. Thank you for that extraordinary and very well narrated video. I couldn't have put it better by myself.
It's been a pleasure, Roger!
I first saw him live in his second Wimbledon final against Roddick. I es awe struck and watched every match I could over the next 20 years. He is the greatest in my mind. Tennis is not the same without him.
We are lucky to have watched playing this great champion. Thank you for everything Roger !!
Grazie Roger
And thank you lehunterpro for all the amazing videos through the years
My pleasure, thanks to you guys for watching them since the beginning.
I watched tennis because of him.....thank u Roger
Merci pour toutes ces videos LeHunterPro. J'ai lâché quelques larmes devant
I have enjoyed over the years my dear friend watching yours masterpiece on the screen as much his magic on-court. Over and over again I can't thank you enough for being so talented and always really inspiring to follow any watch you for many years. Many thanks. Hats off. And It's never goodbye. 🎩❤️👑🙌
You don't know how much I appreciate your words man, when you and everybody was making tributes about RF around 2014 was a time I will never forget.
As I said in the video, it was the best period to follow tennis for me. Thanks for having been part of this my friend !
That French Open match against was one of Federer’s finest matches.
This is just amazing! Thanks lehunterpro and thank you Roger!
Miss you a lot Roger. ❤
Thank you for putting this together!!
Bravo! Great video about Federer. I miss you
Art, as usual.

Wonderful video. You have a deep connection with my Roger's fan story
I had to rewatch this one again! Great work, and good for my French ::P
This short movie is so powerful. Federer will be remembered forever. Thank You for Your videos. This is the end of The Maestro, The Fedex, The Myth. Wizard.
Thanks a lot, it's really appreciated ! I will also add The Dark Federer and The Fedexpress too, he had so many cool nicknames^^
What a tribute... As always u left me speechless. This is just amazing. Some time ago I thought I was a Nadal fan... But you, between others, made me a Fedal fan. The most beautiful rivalry and friendship ever in sport.
Many thanks to you man, the images of friday night were an absolute gem. After seeing Nadal cried like this, I think he's probably a biggest fan of Roger than us^^
Just like a champion - you have come a long way from where we started :) New chapters are always ready to be written in your own story - please remember that
Not ready for this
Thank you and thank you for the subtitles.
You're welcome man, I will always make my videos watchable by everyone no worries about that.
@@lehunterpro and to those of us who can't hear properly. Just think, you're doing a public service 🙂🌻🌻
Watched both him and Rafa since 2005! Amazing champions! To me Rafa is Goat but Roger is the Goat of Aesthetic tennis, he will always be and I think there will never be such an elegant player to achieve such great success ever in tennis. He made tennis feel like art and literally produced a renaissance in the sport. An amazing human being, genius if you ask me!
Nicely put together and well spoken........a heartbreaking goodbye for all of us. In my mind the most capable player ever to play the game! Ánd a great athlete ánd the nicest guy. If you haven't seen 'em already, might I suggest you watch the "Dr. Federer" videos by Yoeri Tennis?? You'll get a even higher appreciation of the player he is....
A beautiful video, my friend.
This tribute is magnificent... thank you for making it. I have been following you a long time.
People can have debate about the "GOAT" theme but for us, RF's fans, he's our goat!
But one thing for sure about him and we can't deny it...he's the most influential tennis player of all time!!
Polalalala magique, magnifique.. quel hommage personnel envers lui! .
Wow, of all the tributes published in the last week this is probably the most personal one. Merci for creating this fantastic video and sharing your story!
Sublime, merci 🙏
I want to hold back my tears😭😭we love you Roger, you‘re one of a kind, you‘ll be missed foreverrr🇨🇭💋
Moved to tears once again. Thank you
Wonderful tribute to a wonderful man great job brother
My man, thanks a lot for your efforts and the memories.
Great video !
Magnifique !
Nice video. Thank you.
That single point means nothing. Absolutely Nothing. He won. He broke them, both. Back to back. It's just age.
His greatest victory in my opinion is not the victory at Roland Garros, his 2012 back plagued Wimbledon, or the 2017 comeback, nor the potential 2019 Wimbledon triumph,
but his 6th Wimbledon title in 2009. That final was just as good as the 2011 RG Djokovic match and the 2017 AO Nadal match. The control in that fifth set was insane. Sampras' salty face at the end...
It was a guy in his prime breaking the greatest record. Against a player his age and experience. Just as it should be.
Thank you very much LHP for taking the time and effort to make these amazing and very emotional videos. Merci beaucoup 🙏🙏
You're welcome guys, even it's hard sometimes it's always a pleasure when I finish a video and I see how much positive feedbacks I receive about them. So thanks to you guys !
Thank you. Thank you to you, too, lehunterpro. The horrifying absence of Roger is the new reality of tennis, and it makes the sport a bitter-sweet if not simply an excruciating experience (as a follower, less as a player) , the King has left the centre court and what is left is a barren, desolate grass land, flushing meadows swallowed by tears, red clay a desert of no consolations if not fading memories and salty mirages, and Australia - a strange, vile, distant place on the other side of the world, as well I could be alone in the Moon! Good bye, Roger! Welcome the void, the absence, the desert filled with memories fading into the dusk and darkness.
That's deep what you said man, every fan of Roger are probably feeling the same way right now. Personnaly I will try to enjoy the last years of Nadal and Novak on the tour. They have also be part of this amazing journey alongside the Maestro even if watching their match will never come close to what emotions Roger used to give us. Thanks a lot for your support man !
Beautiful LHP!! You made this with a lot of passion and emotion!! Well done!!❤❤❤
Thank you, it's really nice to hear that !
Merci pour cette vidéo ❤
Bravooo 🥹🥹
Again, another great video my friend! The narration was really nice and gave the video an original and very personal touch. I appreciate you having trouble to find new angles and ideas to re-tell a story you've already told countless times. But you definitely succeeded! Bravo 🙂
Thanks a lot once again my friend, yeah I feel like it's time to experience new things if I wanna stay motivated. Just go take a look at my video "Thank You Roger Federer" I made 3 years ago now and it's almost the same thin except the ending. Looking forward now to see what you will create yourself for this special occasion, good luck with it !
@@lehunterpro Thanks! Yeah this one will take me at least a month, maybe even more. But I'm facing the same challenges you did, as I don't want to simply re-edit the stories I already told in my "Big Three", "Federer v Nadal" and "Federer v Djokovic" videos. So I have to figure out how to solve this problem. I'm also looking forward to FINALLY seeing your Rafa 2/2 video :)
Thanks so much
Thank you for your passion on this video
It means the world and it meaned too much through this years :D
PD: You are an inspiration and 2 videos I made from Roger were born in part because of your videos. Just want you to let you know.
I remember very well watching your Wimbledon 2016 tribute about him, I had already made this kind of videos for the 2014 and 2015 editions and I was glad I inspired some people to make more tribute videos at this time. So thanks a lot man, I know you were there at the very beginning of my channel !
Jamais aucun autre joueur ne me marquera autant.
Where do you get/find this videos? They are really good quality :0 Good job !
Thank you, it comes from a bit everywhere on internet thanks to people who records full matches and shares them with everyone.
I spent years to collect tennis matches for my videos and have the best quality.
Best tribute ever

It was once believed that Nadal had a psychological edge over Federer. However, this wasn't the case - Nadal simply had a superior game on clay. Actuality, Djokovic was the one who truly unsettled Federer, consistently defeating him over a decade, often on Federer's favoured courts, despite Federer's better performance and multiple match points in many Grand Slam matches, including the US Open in 2010, 2011, 2015, and Wimbledon in 2014, 2015, and 2019. These defeats, especially Wimbledon 2019, were particularly crushing for Federer. Nevertheless, Federer made significant strides in his rivalry with Nadal during the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons, notably his Australian Open victory over Nadal in the 2017 Grand Slam final - his first GS title in five years - following a lengthy period of injury and struggle. Unfortunately, he was never able to replicate this success against Djokovic. A potential consolation might have been a tournament victory at the ATP Finals in 2019 after winning the group stage match against Djokovic clearly, but his knee injury sadly prevented him from achieving this.
His daughters get to say “That’s my dad!”
Big regret that 2019 Wimbledon final
LHP, have you tweeted this to Fed? In his presser last week he said he was gonna spend time reading and watching tribute stuff after LC.

Encore merci ❤️
