The hills remind me of San Francisco...some of the architecture and vibe reminds me of Capetown, and then at other times it reminded me of like a Northern California beachtown.
Stuck in time? I don’t think so. Look at some OLD DUNEDIN videos. When I lived there, there were trams and cablecars. They’ve pulled down so many beautiful Victorian buildings. You got one thing right. It is cooler the further South you go.
Nearly all the streets and many suburb names are taken directly from Edinburgh, it was settled by the Scots and built with Edinburgh in mind. I visited Edinburgh in 2020,quite surreal recognising all the street names that I grew up with.
By the way you may had heard we got a very cold storm moved though Phoenix yesterday I got at less 2 inches of rain in Anthem, Prescott over 10 inches of new snow. Just FYI
Jeff looks like you did a lot of walking in Dunedin, going up and down the hills Wow. Your in good shape! At the end of your video the small town look reminds me of Prescott old town look.
@@benjaminreeves6755 bs, Christchurch is one of the most modern cities, and the most modern in NZ after the rebuild while Dunners is 'stuck in the past' like ChCh before earthquakes. It's expansive and large city while Dunners is a small town, has beautiful gardens, a buzzing city center, better weather, closer to skifields and mountains for hiking, better mountain biking. Hell, even the house prices and rent is cheaper! The only thing Dunners has going for it is the Otago peninsula and the penguins.
@@pranavdixit6157 Christchurch is still a broken city with rubble and cracks still all over. SO you determination of what is a better city is purely just off modernisation?
@@benjaminreeves6755 what are you all arguing for, both cities are great and besides it's hard to compare the two given chch's earthquake history. and im from dunedin btw.

Is New Zealand similar to Australia as far as calling me and scenery?
Titus Kirkland I would have to say not too much honestly.
I think of Australia as generally dry...whereas New Zealand is wet and green.
The cities are quite similar.
